Welcome to Mount Mulgowie Hideaway Reconnect with nature at our peaceful off-grid farm stay, set in beautiful countryside. Experience sustainable living while meeting our friendly chickens, ducks, horses, and Eric the donkey. Please note: Unfortunately, as we are a working farm with active machinery, and large livestock due to insurance and safety reasons we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 16 years of age. Your Stay Our well-appointed shed house features two bedrooms—a master with a queen bed and a second room with two single beds that can be combined into a queen. Enjoy modern comforts such as Wi-Fi, Google Play, air-conditioning and a cosy indoor fireplace for the cooler nights. Enjoy reading a great book in a serene rural setting under the couch of the back porch or enjoy the vibrant birdlife by day, wallabies at dusk, and incredible stargazing at night. Dogs Welcome The shed house is fully fenced, allowing your dog to roam safely off leash within the yard. Dogs are welcome inside but must stay off furniture and carpeted areas. Elsewhere on the property, dogs must remain on a leash to protect livestock and wildlife. Please check with the owner regarding your pet’s stay. For Horse Enthusiasts A secure fully fenced front paddock can accommodates up to two horses easily, the horses can easily be observed from the kitchen window. Water is provided; the owner of the horse will need to supply feed and hay. For insurance reasons, riding is not permitted on property, but local riding trails are just 20 minutes away. Float parking is available—please enquire with the owner. A liability waiver will need to be signed. Off-Grid Camping (Leave No Trace) These sites are set within the paddocks of the property and have no facilities or amenities. Campers are welcome to enjoy the peace and quiet of these campsites in total privacy. Please leave no trace upon departure. Available by enquiry. Nearby Attractions • Nash Horse Riding Trails – 19 km • Brisbane Valley Rail Trail – 20 minutes • Logan Reserve / Wivenhoe Dam – 20 minutes • Esk Township – 20 minutes (cafés, boutique shops, dining) We look forward to welcoming you to Mount Mulgowie Hideaway—where you can unwind, explore, and enjoy an authentic rural escape.

Shed House - Fully self contained

Vacation rental · Sleeps 4 · 2 bedrooms · 3 beds · 1 toilet
The Shed House Accommodation The shed house is a fully off-grid, self-contained two-bedroom home, designed to provide guests with all the comforts of modern living. Amenities include free WiFi, Google Play, air conditioning, an indoor fireplace, and an outdoor firepit. There is also a shaded porch, perfect for relaxing and listening to the local birdlife. The evenings often bring the local tribe of wallabies in to graze in the front paddock at dusk. On clear nights, the stars offer star gazers a view of the whole milky way. Please note that unfortunately, as this is a working farm, we are unable to accommodate children due to the operation of farm machinery and the presence of large livestock. Pet-Friendly Features Horse and dog lovers are welcome to bring their animals. The shed house is fully enclosed with dog fencing up to 70 cm high, allowing dogs to explore off leash within the yard when the gates are closed. Dogs are also permitted inside, but we kindly ask that they remain on the hardwood floor area only and refrain from jumping onto the furniture or the couch. To help with this, a child gate will be provided to keep dogs away from carpeted areas and bedrooms. Horse Accommodation For guests travelling with horses, float parking is available, and there is a safe paddock directly opposite the shed house that can accommodate up to two horses. Because of insurance restrictions, riding inside the farm is not allowed. However, the Brisbane Rail, Logan Reserve, and Wivenhoe Dam are all approximately 20 km away and offer a range of suitable riding locations. Please check availability and terms and conditions with the owner prior to arrival.
