With a combination of natural bush and 600 grand old macadamia trees, Booyong Farm can give you that private off grid experience while being only 5 minutes to Clunes Store and Cellars (which has great food, coffee, groceries, fruit / veg, alcohol and a postoffice), 15 minutes to Bangalow, 20 minutes to Lismore and 30 minutes to Byron Bay.
Alongside our old horse Sunny, our Chooks, the Cows and our dogs Bowie and Naboo :) there is abundant wildlife on the property such as wallabies, echidnas, platypus, eagles and a wide variety of other birdlife.
Choose from 3 sites in either the Main Farm Plateau (Site 1), Creekside (Site 2) or the Macadamia field Site 3).
Note: for Creekside and Macadamia Field access you will need a 4WD. All sites offer privacy for guests and have a great view of the stunning sunsets we have each day at Booyong Farm.
The spring fed freshwater creek is accessible year round for all sites and is nice to cool off in after a bush walk, either on the property or at one of the many breath-taking locations nearby.

We’re a small family on a beautiful 5-acre farm next to the Brunswick River in Mullumbimby. We practice permaculture and organic fruit and vegetable farming. Camp under shady trees or in a grassy paddock. We are 10 mins from the Brunswick Heads rivers and beaches. Simple amenities including an outdoor shower. You can purchase firewood or bring your own. Dogs permitted as long as they are kept on a leash or kept within the campsite and it's left clean. All rubbish must be removed.
Restricted numbers so you can be sure you won't feel overcrowded. Contact us if any days aren't available as we often get cancellations.
There's a country feel yet it's 3 mins away from the thriving township of Mullumbimby. Lots of cafes, artisan shops, Kiva spa, Banya bathhouse and amazing healthy food everywhere. Or enjoy the nightly pilgrimage of the flying foxes across the evening sky.

We had an awesome stay at Riverbend Retreat. The campground is set right above the river, with the water literally running just below the site, which makes for an unreal backdrop the whole time you’re there. The river itself is crystal clear and perfect for swimming, relaxing, or just sitting back and taking it all in.
For anyone into fishing, this spot is a winner — there’s some cracking bass fishing right out front, especially early morning and late arvo. It’s one of those places that feels peaceful and secluded but still has everything you need for a great camping getaway.
We’ll definitely be back 👍

Cannot stress enough how great this place is.
Waze did try and steer us incorrectly but you can see where you need to be and get there easily.
Camp-site is a nice size patch beside the river which easily fitted out party of 10 adults 6 kids and 3 dogs. With an undercover picnic table and fire pit.
We even spotted a platypus feeding in the rapids near the swimming hole

What a beautiful, peaceful site. We camped down by the river loving the birds and cicadas. Toilet and shower are simple but sufficient. Would definitely come back again!

We loved our stay at The Haven - we stayed on the river flats site which had two sites, both with plenty of space. It was very peaceful and watching the bats on an evening was a special treat! Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful peaceful place to stay. We were really thankful to have stumbled upon this amazing stay. Our first Hipcamp stay and it certainly set the bar. Magical creek and peaceful location the horses were divine. A must if you want a peaceful place to relax. We enjoyed the fact that it was convenient to Tyalgum town centre yet seemed a million miles away. Will be back most certainly. Brianna is a brilliant host. Thank you!

Such a beautiful, peaceful spot with great little swimming hole. Brie was very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend taking chocks if you have a van or RV as the powered sites are not level and 40mtr power cord.

We loved camping at Eltham Station Farm. The site was beautiful . Green, well maintained grassy site with great sunset views. Being close to the river meant lots of frog and insect sounds too. Great communication by host and firewood available to purchase. Good fire pits on site.

The outdoor shower and the river was a definite highlight. The pines spot has minimal shade so would definitely recommend booking at the riverside spots as there is more than enough space and shade for a van. The toilet and shower are outdoors and quaint. The grass is lush and the grounds are peaceful. The river was shallow but definitely accessible for a dip. We filled up water for our van at a tap near the public toilets in the middle of town (Mullimbimby). Thanks for the stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. The camp-site and amenities are well maintained. The river (currently low) and kayaks (additional hire) we are huge hit with our family. We have our own inflatable kyak and row boat but loved hiring the ones available to have our own.
Our first trip not bringing ANY firewood but there was plenty available to purchase.
Host is very friendly and approachable when needed but also respects your space. A++ Host.
Lismore(local town and shops) is a short drive away. Small city with most things you need if forgotten or if issues arise.
We plan to return!

We had our first girls-only, off-grid camping experience in our new caravan at Eltham Station, and it was absolutely perfect. The property is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and truly feels like an escape. Campsites are well spaced, so you never feel crowded.
We loved being able to bring our pup and enjoy a campfire under the stars. The girls had the best time exploring the creek and climbing trees. We planned to use the kayaks, but games of Uno and reading books won out this time - kayaking will have to wait for next trip!
This is the ideal spot for anyone wanting a genuine rural camping experience. The cows wander by, there’s an abundance of birdlife, ducks, and other wildlife, and even lizards happily basking in the sun right beside your camp chair! While we didn’t spot any platypus or owls on this visit, the wolf moon made the trip unforgettable.
