HISTORY
This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land.
In the 1800's, white men came
seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging
has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees
remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to
grow out too.
About 35 years ago
about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of
this top end of the valley that you see today.
Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over.
You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though -
they have spikes that could
puncture Caterpillar tracks!)
MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan.
Today the property is registered with Land For Wildlife and hosts a very wide mix of native vegetation communities.

Dogs are very welcome. Keep them on a lead while you’re wandering the property, then let them be their goofy, happy selves back at camp. Campfires are practically mandatory. Every site has its own fire pit, and if you burn through your firewood faster than a pollie breaks a promise, we can sort you out with more for a small fee.
Now for a quick reality check. We’re not the Hilton. In fact, we don’t provide any amenities at all. No toilets, no showers, no bins. Think of The Good Life as a safe, private slice of bush that feels like the middle of nowhere, because it pretty much is. You’ll need to be fully self-contained and take everything you bring in back out with you. Leave only footprints and good memories.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you. Park yourself in a camp chair with a book, wander the farm, or lace up your boots and explore around 70 acres of bush tracks. When night falls, the stars put on a serious show and the silence is so complete you can actually hear yourself think.
There’s no phone service and no Wi-Fi. Consider it a feature, not a bug. It’s the perfect excuse to ignore your emails.
If you feel like venturing out, the Orara Valley and Coffs Coast offer stunning rainforests, beaches, waterfalls and swimming holes, all within a 30-minute drive.

Take a right turn as soon as you drive through the cream concrete entrance gates and follow the road down to the large cream shed.
Here you will find manicured park-like gardens with a large dam - big enough to kayak on! There are numerous shady trees along the dam edges and you can also relax on the pontoon which overlooks the water.
**Please note that the dam area is not fenced and may not suit campers with children. Campers must ensure they supervise their children at all times.
This farm operates a cut flower business with over 10,000 rose bushes and has recently diversified with a large number of Australian wildflowers.
The business hours are typically 6am-4pm but once or twice a week the shed does need to be accessed earlier than this so please do not park on the gravel area in front of the double roller doors.
There are no amenities so campers need to be fully self-sufficient with own camping toilet and leave no trace.

Watch the amazing sunsets as they come down over our valley displaying an array of orange, reds, pinks and purples as you cook your meal or relax with a drink or good book. Then fall asleep under the brightly visible stars of the Milky Way.
Awaken to the peaceful chirping of our native bird life easing you in to your day. Open your blinds to appreciate the morning mist that usually settles across our valley or mobs of Kangaroos laced with the odd rabbit having their breakfast on your doorstep. This property shows beauty at all times of the day providing for that relaxing and back to nature stay we all require to recharge our batteries.
Take a stroll down to the Kangaroo River and walk our short riverside bush walk consisting of 3 sandy beaches, vine swings for the kids and small lookout. You will enjoy the scenery and tranquil sounds of the river wild life, or sit back and read a book or take in the country air and enjoy your campsite, or take a short drive to one of our local public swimming holes or the local township of Coutts Crossing.
Coutts Crossing township is 5 minutes drive up the road and offers a pub and bistro, live music, hot food shop, post office, general store and fuel station for supplies and a golf course for those keen to hit a ball.
The local region is dotted with weekly markets and other tourist entertainment options. You can find a number of public riverside spots to spend the day lazing on a sandy beach and enjoying beautiful swimming holes within a short 5-10 minute drive of the property
Although we are always introducing new attractions to our property, it is always a comfortable place to stay and will likely always be different each time you come back to stay. Developments in the pipeline will be the addition of animals, an orchard, a dam and Aquaponics vegetable production which are currently in the works. We currently have 18 chickens and 10 Angus cattle on the property and fresh organic free range eggs can be purchased at request.

HISTORY
This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land.
In the 1800's, white men came
seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging
has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees
remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to
grow out too.
About 35 years ago
about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of
this top end of the valley that you see today.
Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over.
You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though -
they have spikes that could
puncture Caterpillar tracks!)
MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan.
Today the property is registered with Land For Wildlife and hosts a very wide mix of native vegetation communities.

Now for a quick reality check. We’re not the Hilton. In fact, we don’t provide any amenities at all. No toilets, no showers, no bins. Think of The Good Life as a safe, private slice of bush that feels like the middle of nowhere, because it pretty much is. You’ll need to be fully self-contained and take everything you bring in back out with you. Leave only footprints and good memories.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you. Park yourself in a camp chair with a book, wander the farm, or lace up your boots and explore around 70 acres of bush tracks. When night falls, the stars put on a serious show and the silence is so complete you can actually hear yourself think.
There’s no phone service and no Wi-Fi. Consider it a feature, not a bug. It’s the perfect excuse to ignore your emails.

Take a right turn as soon as you drive through the cream concrete entrance gates and follow the road down to the large cream shed.

The business hours are typically 6am-4pm but once or twice a week the shed does need to be accessed earlier than this so please do not park on the gravel area in front of the double roller doors.

Nested in the Coffs Harbour hinterland is this stunning 250 acre property, offering both powered and unpowered site options and great facilties over 2 campsites.
Wayper Creek flows though the property, and there are manicured lawns, a large toilet and shower block with hot showers, a caravan dump point, a large BBQ shelter, firepit, and lots of lovely spots to enjoy the plethora of wildlife.
During holiday season we have a second campsite opened, which has lovely amenities, too.
We regularly have abseilers come down our creek, as a set of 7 waterfalls is only a 60-minute hike through the creek away. It is a stunning place for relaxation. With limited phone reception.

Frog Hollow on Bobo River Camp is located on the banks of the Bobo River, surrounded by prisine rainforest. It is a binding NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust Agreement private property because of its fauna and flora.
Each site comes with a movable fire pit, table and chairs, as well as a truck inner tube for the kids to jump on!
2 kayaks and inner tubes provided free.
Firewood available at $10 a bundle - under the firewood shelter.

Horizon Oasis is a 30 acre ever evolving permaculture and organic multi faceted farming property located just outside of Coutts Crossing.
Situated 20 minutes south of the historic township of Grafton and 55 minutes north of Coffs Harbour we have the best of both worlds. We are in the country and yet so close to the coast with Yamba beach (45 minutes), Red Rock (35 minutes) and Woolgooga (40 minutes) down the road. We are located only a short 15 minute drive off the M1 freeway and 5 minutes from Armidale Road.
Our quiet, pristine country side of semi rural rolling hills and Kangaroo River running along our western boundary provide a relaxing and picturesque place to pull up for a night or 3.
You will be enchanted by our local wildlife consisting of a multitude of Kangaroos and Wallabies, abundant with colourful bird life with the odd fox or Koala paying a visit to the block.
Watch the amazing sunsets as they come down over our valley displaying an array of orange, reds, pinks and purples as you cook your meal or relax with a drink or good book. Then fall asleep under the brightly visible stars of the Milky Way.
Awaken to the peaceful chirping of our native bird life easing you in to your day. Open your blinds to appreciate the morning mist that usually settles across our valley or mobs of Kangaroos laced with the odd rabbit having their breakfast on your doorstep. Take a stroll down to the Kangaroo River and walk our short riverside bush walk consisting of 3 sandy beaches, vine swings for the kids and small lookout. You will enjoy the scenery and tranquil sounds of the river wild life, or sit back and read a book or take in the country air and enjoy your campsite, or take a short drive to one of our local public swimming holes or the local township of Coutts Crossing.
Coutts Crossing township is 5 minutes drive up the road and offers a pub and bistro, live music, hot food shop, post office, general store and fuel station for supplies and a golf course for those keen to hit a ball.
The local region is dotted with weekly markets and other tourist entertainment options. You can find a number of public riverside spots to spend the day lazing on a sandy beach and enjoying beautiful swimming holes within a short 5-10 minute drive of the property
Although we are always introducing new attractions to our property, it is always a comfortable place to stay and will likely always be different each time you come back to stay. Developments in the pipeline will be the addition of animals, an orchard, a dam and Aquaponics vegetable production which are currently in the works. We currently have 18 chickens and 10 Angus cattle on the property and fresh organic free range eggs can be purchased at request.

We live on-site and are slowly restoring this special land, including the old Grafton Racecourse Beer Pavilion. The composting toilets and clever camp showers were thoughtfully built using recycled materials and offered for campers to use.
At night, light a fire, enjoy a cold drink, and take in the stars. We’re easy-going and happy to give you your space. Camp fires must be contained Sept-April. Large fire pits provided and firewood for sale on site.

Oasis of Hope is a great little site up the rain forest above Coffs Harbour and was a treat to find. Excellent, very clean shower and toilet facilities and a large communal BBQ area. I was concerned about the 10 volt power supply but Lars was very quick to provide me with an adaptor. A very peaceful spot so I slept soundly! If you want to stay off grid in fabulous surroundings, this is the place.

My girlfriend and I had such a beautiful weekend away at this Hipcamp. It truly felt like our own private sanctuary. The highlight was the secluded waterfall and champagne pool; absolutely stunning and such a special place to swim, relax, and take in the surroundings. Having something so magical just a short walk from camp made the stay unforgettable.
The campsite itself was well maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully cared for, offering the perfect balance between comfort and immersion in nature.
Rob was a fantastic host, welcoming, helpful, and generous with firewood. He also provided a clear map to the waterfall, which made exploring easy and enjoyable.
The peace and quiet were exactly what we needed. Falling asleep to birdsong, insects, and the gentle sound of the breeze flowing through the trees was the perfect soundtrack to unwind.
We left feeling refreshed and grateful. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful, nature-filled escape.

Richard is an amazing human who welcomes all to share his beautiful property. I wanted time out, relax, unwind, peace & tranquillity. That's exactly what i got. The skies at night where not hindered by light pollution, the silence was not broken by traffic noise. Richard is a wonderful soul that loves to share not only his home but stories of a remarkable life. Also extremely respectful of your space and time. I highly recommend Richards property to anyone, with any type of camping style. My stay was cut short unfortunately but I will be returning.

What an absolutely special spot. Not only are you close to a Lovely beach and small town but the camping area is just beautiful. Adam advised us where to park, spot on as the weather was starting to get very wet! We went for a short around the area, amazing lake covered in lily pads. Loads of kangaroos! We could only do one night but will definitely stop here on our way back south later in the year! And with Hipcamp’s prices going through the roof, it was reassuring to find somewhere that hadn’t doubled in price over the last 2 years.

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the facilities and the added extras like the canoe and inner tubes.
Unfortunately during our stay it was very noisy throughout the night with logging tricks going past regularly and because they all slow down using the engine brakes before they go over the bridge it made it hard to get a good night sleep. Next time we will bring ear plugs.

This was such a magical experience. Private, serene, well maintained and the most blue and clean water I’ve ever swam in. We spent our time there skipping rocks, kayaking, swimming and using the rope swing. Laura was so helpful, responsive and welcoming and we hope to stay here again in the future

If you like watching the stars at night this is the perfect place because theres no light pollution so you can see all the starts clearly and a beautiful view of the sunrise in the morning.
