Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.

The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek.
We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy.
As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot.
It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world.

Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. The rainforest Treehouse is situated in a rainforest pocket of the Mount Warning Caldera, completely surrounded by lush and vibrant nature and sheltered from the outside world, while being just 2 minutes away from us and the comfy road that will take you to an amazing swimming hole, cafés and the nearby town.
Once you enter the Treehouse private drive you will feel yourself being transported into a magical world of gently flowing water, natural light, tall trees, chirping birds, rustling leaves, crickets, and frogs.
You will notice the energy shift into the safe embrace of our land, protected by Springbrook Mountain.
The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek.
We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy.
As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot.
It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world.
Now it is here for you to enjoy, to reconnect with your dreams, to dive deep into your childhood playful memories where the world of fantasy and reality merge together.
Here you can just be yourself, embraced by nature and view at the world from your Treehouse verandah.
THE RED CABIN
We are also proud of our very special Red Cabin with its magnificent mountain view. it has been created with dedication and love. And again it is thanks to our daughter this time. She has found the perfect spot for you so you can immerse yourself in nature in the shade of lovely trees, taking flight with the eagles above Springbrook Mountain, lifting up and rejoicing life. The vibrant tantric red colour of the cabin will fill you up with new energy and freshness. it is supplied with clean, luxurious linen and towels. The daring bathroom allows you to bask in a bubble bath while enjoying your favourite beverage watching the stars. That beautiful experience will be enhance by the symphony of the surrounding nature.
The cooking and dining area is set up for your highest comfort and equipped with everything you need.

Figtree Farm at Findon Creek is a 600-acre natural oasis. Tucked away in a tranquil, secluded valley, this hidden gem is surrounded by Long Creek to the south and Findon Creek to the west, while the northern edge extends to the Dedicated Wilderness of the Border Ranges National Park.
This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a joinery workshop crafting designer furniture.
Cabin at Valley's End is our flagship accommodation at Figtree Farm. Having 3-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is an ideal place for a relaxing weekend. The cabin has flat ground on 2 sides which allows for additional campers (up to 20 people).
In addition we offer 3 creek-side camp sites which have plenty of room for large groups; they are all situated on well drained, grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites.
Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Wiangaree is 15 minutes away and Kyogle is a 30 minute drive south. For those who enjoy a game of tennis there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall.

Camp out under the stars with 6 campsites scattered over the property giving you the perfect oppurtonity to bring your own tent, caravan or motorhome and enjoy staying in our beautiful natural surroundings. Campers can enjoy all thre comforts of home with a toilet and shower block (with flushing toilets and hot water) as well as a communal camp kitchen, picnic tables and firepit area located just a short distance from the campsites.
Every morning join us for a farm tour where you get to feed and water the animals, milk a cow, let the chickens out and help collect their eggs, cuddle some chicks and meet our pigs.

Firstly not sure if I can sum up this HipCamp in such a small review. From first making the booking, before leaving and during my stay the communication was quick and all instructions were really clear. The property is stunning, well kept and the facilities are amazing. The shower/toilet is phenomenal, clean and everything you need. The camp kitchen with sink and power is a nice touch. Wood fire was filled with wood and all I had to do was light it. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming again soon. In the top 3 Hipcamps I have stayed it (been using Hipcamp years).

Great place for dogs. bush camp but good facilities. Host very friendly advised the best place to park. Bush walks and a great dam with Kayaks and sun shelter. Will definitely go there again. Dogs can be off leash as long as they are under the effective control of there owners.

What a wonderful hilly spot ! you could choose to camp high up or low down or under a tree
they clevelry have built shelters ( rof structure ) so if you passsing in rain or extreme heat you have a place to hide.
We def be back the stars at night , the views and location where just wonderful so much space
i camped with my 11 year old girls , felt safe . We also able to find a space just for us was tops ! we mountain biked, adventured and swam in the lake was a hoot.
we enjoyed fabulous milkshakes and hot chips at the coffee van - run by a lovely most charamatic lady (whose name i have tragically forgotten) who gave me a lovely tip on a creek to swim at on our way home called cedar creek what a great spot to go for a dip on your way home ( when you leave misty mountain heading back toward the coast drive 10 min theres a sign saying byrill creek / cedar creek turn left then follow th road then follow the road right along the river the boulders and swimming holes where just gorgous . but back to review of misty creek hell yeah we will be back !

It was a wonderful stay. We really felt the beauty of nature as we swam in the river, lay on the grass and took naps, and gazed at the starry sky at night. We also saw lots of cute birds. The kitchen and living room were clean, open, and charming. We were able to detox from the digital world, and every day was very fulfilling. Thanks :)

Great place to stay. Huge open space to park the van and heaps of room to manoeuvre it. Expanse of lawn for the kids to play on. Location is very convenient to access lots of the coastal hotspots. Friendly hosts and friendly dog. Would stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Lovely hosts, and facilities are great. We visited as a group of 2 motorhomes and a caravan and stayed on the Platypus powered sites. Well cared for property and we enjoyed cooling off in Grady’s Creek which is flowing.

My partner and I had a fantastic time at Gabrielle’s retreat. We were lucky enough to be at the site closest to the creek, which got great shade in the afternoon, both of these things helped to cool down in the hot summer weather! Bri was very kind and helpful, making our stay a breeze. I could not recommend this hipcamp any higher!

Nice campground to stay at, has all ammenities you would need, also has a pool, playground and jump pad for kids. Close to the beach approximately 10 minute walk. Byron bay centre approximately 5 minute drive. This is a pet friendly campground. The site was accommodating for my 21.6ft caravan, long and narrow. I was just able fit on the site with the side awning out. Site was slightly sloped and in the shade, also sheltered by wind for our stay.
Would definitely stay again.
