Most sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD (Low Range) access ONLY as it is extremely steep with loose gravel and rocky outcrops. AWD (All wheel drive) vehicles will not get back out. For all 4WD areas please let your Tyres down to 25psi to help conserve our tracks. Outback 4WD tracks are now open for campers to explore as well as Hidden Valley. All sites have toilets, but guests will need their own shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, sometimes it may take a few hours for us to reply. No motorbikes or chainsaws and no hunting allowed. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Children must be supervised at all times while exploring these areas. There are also dams at or near some of the campsite areas that could be dangerous if children wander off exploring alone.

Valley View Farm is located in the beautiful upper Hunter Valley - home of racehorses and wineries. We are spread out over 40 acres, set in a picturesque 600-acre valley, with Mount Dangar dominating the skyline. Our property is set on top of a huge inland sandbank/cliff, with deep gorges on two sides, which gives amazing valley views. Due to these cliffs, our property is not suitable for groups with small children, and older children must be supervised at all times. The valley is service by a dirt Crown road, snaking through private land, this acts as an excellent walking track with minimal traffic, there is also exploring through the native bush up in the mountains. Plenty of wildlife abounds, including kangaroos, wombats, lizards, birdlife, and not too many snakes! The property is accessed via a 6km dirt road, off the Golden Highway, with some corrugations. We do recommend SUV or 4WD however others have accessed it via 2WD successfully. I drive my horse float up there all the time, and provided your caravan or car isn't too low clearance, it should be fine. Any concerns, please discuss with us prior to booking. When we've had heavy rain, this will hinder access for 2WD vehicles until the water drains, which it does quickly. For this reason, please keep an eye on the weather on your arrival day. We currently offer 4 camping sites - 2 in our back paddock which are 4WD accessible only, and 2 in our front paddocks, both with easy access to the flushing toilet and one with exclusive use of a large 9x9m shelter. Valley View Farm is located in the beautiful upper Hunter Valley - home of racehorses and wineries. We are spread out over 40 acres, set in a picturesque 600-acre valley, with Mount Dangar dominating the skyline. Our property is set on top of a huge inland sandbank/cliff, with deep gorges on two sides, which gives amazing valley views. Due to these cliffs, our property is not suitable for groups with small children, and older children must be supervised at all times. The valley is service by a dirt Crown road, snaking through private land, this acts as an excellent walking track with minimal traffic, there is also exploring through the native bush up in the mountains. Plenty of wildlife abounds, including kangaroos, wombats, lizards, birdlife, and not too many snakes! The property is accessed via a 6km dirt road, off the Golden Highway, with some corrugations. We do recommend SUV or 4WD however others have accessed it via 2WD successfully. I drive my horse float up there all the time, and provided your caravan or car isn't too low clearance, it should be fine. Any concerns, please discuss with us prior to booking. When we've had heavy rain, this will hinder access for 2WD vehicles until the water drains, which it does quickly. For this reason, please keep an eye on the weather on your arrival day. We currently offer 4 camping sites - 2 in our back paddock which are 4WD accessible only, and 2 in our front paddocks, both with easy access to the flushing toilet and one with exclusive use of a large 9x9m shelter. This was my second time staying at Glenmoore. What a beautiful place. Sitting by the river, shaded by trees, listening to the bush and not seeing another camper because of the layout of the 3 camp sites. Ive already started planning my next trip. John is brilliant, comes and gives a weather report each morning of what to expect during the day and night so adjutments can be made to your camp site if needed. Lovely man.

Great spot here bordering Goulburn River National Park. Dave has put a huge effort into building walking trails and has created a great mud map to show you the way. We took a 4wd only campsite. Make sure you do have a good 4wd if you take this option because you definitely need it to get back out. Plenty of wildlife around. Even turtles in the river.. Plenty to explore.

Weekend Trip to Tanglewood Bush Camp - Putty NSW

This was a great spot, set part way up the valley, the site had a decent view and was surrounded by wildlife. (Horses, Cows, Kangaroos, Owls and Wombats to name a few). The owners were super friendly, helpful with directions and quick to respond. The even took the time to come say hi and show us some options for visiting the surrounding national park. As pictured in the add, the fire and bar setup were a nice touch, and the flushing toilet and generous amount of provided fire wood was amazing! The site is easily accessible by AWD/4WD, and we had no issue getting a small 2WD SUV up to the site. (The most challenging part is only the last 150-200m, so you could definitely park and walk up if needed). Highly recommend this spot for those seeking a peaceful nature retreat!

Spent and couple of nights here with a friend and enjoyed our stay. Big, open areas to camp with a decent amount of space in between camp sites. The are some sites up from the river and some in the forest so a nice variation. Showers and toilet blocks were nice with hot water and were kept clean. Wood for the fire is available but you can also forage for some dead branches. Flies were annoying but that’s Spring / Summer camping wherever you go tbh. Even keeping the site clean doesn’t stop them so just accept that you’re going to get a few if you’re going camping in these months. The noise levels from the wedding venue are quite loud so not the most peaceful place to camp but it didn’t really bother us as we had music on too or just listened to theirs tbh. Depends what you want. During the day though it’s quiet with plenty of song bird to listen to. Lots of different fishing spots to explore also. Caught one bass and saw a few carp. There’s an hour hike you can do and also some smaller walks. Definitely go down to the river as it’s peaceful and has some nice sandy areas to chill in. Phone signal is non existent here, not even a satellite went over to get a message through the whole weekend. Hosts were lovely and welcoming and explained everything in detail. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Depends what you want from your trip but if you’re ok with the above, it’s a nice clean spot to enjoy some outdoors.

Great tranquil spot, right on the river. 3 camp sites but you cannot see from one site to another, there was someone else came and stayed at another site and we only saw them drive in and then back out 2 days later. Short walk to a great swimming hole near the bridge or sit in water at front of camp. No toilets or showers, just take your own nice clean dump point in Dungog. No phone coverage but someone in group had a star link which worked fine if we needed to make a call, or you can drive up the hill to get coverage, but I just turned my phone off for the peace and quiet John comes down to check on you mid morning which turned into a nice chat, very friendly and knowledgeable man to talk to. Definitely going back again

Weekend Trip to Hunter River Bush Camp

A great, secluded private spot well away from the host's house. The track in isn't super easy, but with an offroad van you'll be fine. Make the effort to take the walk down to the Hunter River - perfect for swimming, fairly shallow although the current is surprisingly strong as you go further out. We couldn't get our dogs out of the river "Mum, five more minutes!" It is challenging to get your van level - we had to get her up nearly 150mm to get east-west level, and even then struggled to get north-south level. Would be the perfect private spot if the host could get a little section levelled out for the vans. Highly rate this place - but bring your ramps and a bit of timber to level up. We'll be back

Such a great spot for a weekend camp. The facilities are so clean and just what you need. The farm is beautiful with some great tent spots in between the trees. We saw a wombat in the wild for the first time! Highly recommend.
