We have 250 acres in the Chichester Valley, we grow chemical-free vegetables and farm cattle. We have campsites on the Chichester River and we are in the water catchment area for the Chichester Dam. Suitable for caravans, camper trailers, tents, motor-homes etc. Good access, 4WD not required & plenty of site options. There is no mobile reception here (unless you climb the hills!). Dogs are not permitted due to livestock. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, Firewood not available at the moment. Tank water available at the house if required. No amenities so campers must be self-contained and leave no trace. There is a dump site in Dungog Showground, bring a CHEMICAL TOILET ! All campsites are by the river, you can bring your own fire wood. Camping firewood can be bought in Dungog, Jo and Roger sell bagged wood $20.00 per bag and kindling, Phone 0412488982, 7 Hooke St. , look for round- a- bout with monument in the middle of it. Price is per person. Kids under 12 stay free!

Great tranquil spot, right on the river. 3 camp sites but you cannot see from one site to another, there was someone else came and stayed at another site and we only saw them drive in and then back out 2 days later. Short walk to a great swimming hole near the bridge or sit in water at front of camp. No toilets or showers, just take your own nice clean dump point in Dungog. No phone coverage but someone in group had a star link which worked fine if we needed to make a call, or you can drive up the hill to get coverage, but I just turned my phone off for the peace and quiet John comes down to check on you mid morning which turned into a nice chat, very friendly and knowledgeable man to talk to. Definitely going back again

Glenmoore River Camp 1
Our second time visiting Glenmoore. We really love this place. John is very welcoming and has a beautiful, peaceful property with secluded and private campsites on the river. Lots of shade, grassy sites, designated fire pits, crystal clear swimming spots, possums, cows, birdlife, but sadly yet to spot a platypus. Oh well, just means we’ll need to come back for another relaxing weekend escape. Thanks for having us again John!

We’ve been going to Glenmore since 2021 and every time we go there,we are reminded how relaxing and beautiful it is . John is an amazing host and he is always available to assist for any needs or probs that my occur 🌸

Glenmoore River Camp 1
John's property is amazing. Quiet, easy access, private. The birdlife is off the chart and you'll be greeted by possums, bandicoots, platypus, kangaroos and cows! The drive is easy but be cautious, it is a country road with tight bends and narrow bridges here and there. It is about 30 minutes relaxing drive from Dungog out towards Chichester. The final drive to the property is about 10 km and is narrow and windy, so take your time. The last 5 is smooth but gravel- easy 2WD. On arrival John greets you and takes you to your camp, and provides some great conversations about the local area if you're interested. All three sites are sitting on the river, which is crystal clear and cool, with John saying it always flows. These camps will be a great spot in the heat of summer. We stayed for a quick weekend, and it was well worth it. We heard no humans, no music, no cars and no dogs!. Just nature and the occasional jet plane overhead. This camp is definitely on our return list. Thanks John for providing access to your amazing property. See you again!

John is absolutely lovely and so friendly. We had the privilege of staying at his beautiful property for a night. The campsites are surrounded by wonderful mountains, and each camp site is very spread out, we couldn’t even see our camp neighbours! The spots are very secluded. We were able to swim In the crystal clear river, then fall asleep to the sound of the water running. An amazing experience. Thank you John for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Easy to get to. No need for a 4wd for a perfect riverside camping spot. John is very friendly and made it easy to meet, even at 9pm in the middle of a storm! Loved the visits from the cows. Creek is beautiful and fresh. The fireflies at night were something special. Dungog is a great town to visit. John recommended the Tin Shed for a feed - he wasn't wrong! Would definitely come back to this spot!

3 nice camps. Far enough apart where you don't hear your neighbors. Right on the river. So much bird life. Seen 3 platypus up near the bridge. John's a nice bloke and happy to help if needed. Relaxing spot.

Glenmoore River Camp 3
We absolutely loved staying at Glenmoore. This is a beautiful site, on the banks of a river, with lots of wildlife. We were a group of six with three cars, a van and two pod campers, there was heaps of room with no one else around. Good flat sites for our camp , secluded and peaceful. John and his friendly cows were delightful, I couldn't have imagined a better place to catch up with friends and relax.

What an amazing property! We camped at Site 3, which was incredibly private and sat right on the riverbank - we easily fit 3 families, but this site would take a few more. The kids had an absolute blast roaming freely, exploring the riverbanks, walking among friendly cows, and even braving a dip in the icy river water (freezing but memorable!). We towed our caravan in with no trouble, access was straightforward and stress-free. The property is just a 30-minute drive from Dungog, which makes it feel remote but still convenient. FYI There’s a dump point and toilets at the Dungog Showgrounds for those who need them on way out. John, the host, is a genuine and friendly guy who stops by daily to check in and share weather updates. It’s a small touch that really adds to the experience and shows he cares. We brought our own firewood and loved gathering around a big campfire during the chilly nights. The kids were so happy the entire time - we couldn’t ask for more. Definitely planning to come back. If you're after space, nature, and a truly relaxing atmosphere, this place is well worth a try.

Glenmoore River Camp 3
This is our third visit to Glenmore River Camp and we just love it there. Everything about it is perfect and we will keep going back again and again and again. John is great to deal with - very friendly and very helpful - and just wants everyone to be comfortable. Camp 3 is a large and flat area. We had four caravans and one tent and there was still heaps of room to laze around, have your own space, and put up a marquee. The flowing creek is crystal clear and completely mesmerizing - so nice to go to sleep listening to it. Great campfire, very friendly cows that just wanted a pat, perfect place to lay on the grass and look at the stars and just somewhere you want to unwind, reboot and relax. A really beautiful place to be.

We had a wonderful June long weekend, winter camping on John’s beautiful property. We had a large site to ourselves along the gin clear river. We’ve stayed at a few hipcamp properties, and this is one of the best. We enjoyed relaxing, but also walking the Bluegum loop track at the foothills of Barrington Tops, not too far a drive away. The wildlife here is prolific and that’s a major attraction. John is very friendly and a top host! We hope to return again this year

Best camping EVER! John was an absolute legend and such a kind and friendly human. The site was perfect and we can’t wait to go back! The cows crossing the river was my highlight and the rapids were so much fun. The kids and adults loved it just as much as each other and it was so nice to switch off and connect with each other. Thank you for having us John, we will definitely be back.

John’s campsite was a tranquil stay surrounded by greenery and the relaxing sounds of the river stream next to our tents. We had a dip in the shallow river, very refreshing. It was a great and spacious spot to stay over the Easter weekend to drive to Dungog town and see the rodeo.

Site and location were amazing, pristine, beautiful large site with access to river, Wildlife all around and far enough from other campers that you feel completely alone. Host John was amazing, comes to check on you and have a yarn, Will 10000% be coming back.

I’m half tempted to leave a poor review so people don’t go…and then we can have all the time! This is seriously a brilliant spot. It’s right on the river…a little chilly but very swimmable. Even though are campers are not too far away, there’s a wonderful feeling of remoteness. John is a great host. We keep coming back and have already booked our next visit.

I'm reluctant to say how awesome this camp ground is, as we don't want too many people to know about it and keep it for ourselves, LOL. But to be honest this place of John's is fantastic! There are only 3 separate, private areas to camp right on the river where you can't hear or see the other areas there were campers (we were camping at Camp 2). The water was crystal clear and great for taking a tube down the small set of rapids. Our 5 year old grandson had a ball. The wild life was abundant and even had the local herd of friendly cattle drop in for a visit. Even though it had rained the night before we arrived, the ground was not boggy in any way, runoff seemed to be very adequate. We will defiantly be camping at John's property of Glenmoore River Camp again. Extremely Happy Campers
