Oxley Riverside Campsites

Absolutely stunning location on the Hastings River. We were on Site 1, which, while all the Sites are excellent, this one is the stand-out. All the sites are really private, but because we were off-season, we were the only ones there (apart from the 3 friendly donkeys from next door!) Really clean, drop / composting toilets. Bruce was really friendly and welcoming, and the sites are all at the other end of the property, away from the homestead. Absolutely loved our stay. Highly recommended.

Revisit to Oxley Riverside. Perfect once again. The site is quite serene, and off grid which is what we love. We will keep going back to this spot 😊

What an awesome stay at site 2 is huge more then enough space for family and friends. All the sites are great it didn’t feel like you’re packed in like sardines. River swimming everyday even in the rain. Had the neighbours pop by (cows) drop toilets clean fire, pits set up for each site Instructions and signs to the camp site so easy to find as the gate comes up real quick on the main road. Beautiful views so peaceful other campers where there but it still felt like it was only us there. There is a little town 10mins away with all ur essentials stopped in for a pub meal and schooner. Highly recommend 10/10

Thanks Bruce, you have an amazing property. Beautifully maintained, well sign posted, hassle free camping. We had plenty of room and privacy from other campers. Amenities were fantastic, well designed and appointed. Beautiful river with lovely clear water and nice to swim in. Thanks again for having g. Us.

What a find ! Bruce has put a lot of effort in to maintaining a fantastic river camp while dealing with the usual floods and damage caused . The river and scenery are beautiful and so peaceful. The ladies and gents long drop toilets are the best we have seen . We would highly recommend this campsite . Great for groups and the swimming is a lot of fun . Thanks Bruce we will definitely be back

Magic at Oxley Riverside

Our stay was absolutely magic! We stayed at campsite 1 overlooking the river and rolling hills. It was so calm and peaceful, we were there with kids and the whole family and we all had an incredible time. From enjoying the fresh river water to sitting around the fire at night, and listening to all the wildlife we will absolutely be back!! Bruce was amazing, came down to see us on one afternoon, super friendly was great to have a chat with him. He has put in so much work on the campsites and they are all incredible, with great toilet facilities- best camp toilet I haev ever been too. We originally booked for site two, but fell in love with site 1 when we arrived, and Bruce had no issues with us moving to that site. We will be back!

This pristine beauty is a must have if you’re on your way through the Oxley. River flowing with rapids, donkeys grazing in the paddocks and the stars, wow! The toilets are a bonus and the site is very clear and well taken care of. I will definitely be back

A great spot. Excellently well kept. We stayed in camp 2 and could hardly hear those in camp 1. Toilet facilities were great. The curious donkeys were an added entertainment.

Oxley Riverside Camp is such a special spot. We feel so grateful to have been able to spend the weekend here. The water is absolutely beautiful, the setting feels private and peaceful, and we loved that there are only a few camping spots so it never feels crowded. It’s the perfect place to switch off, reset and soak up nature. We already can’t wait to come back!

Secluded beautiful peaceful spot. We had our Toyota hiace van at Site 5, perfect shady spot under a tree with a great view. Great swimming spot for kids, handy if you bring wetsuit shoes for kids in water, kayak, body board, or floaty device. Looking forward to returning one day

Quiet & relaxing time at Bruce's property. Easy to find with Bruce’s instructions which is about a 40 minute drive west of Wauchope. The sites were all good. We stayed at site 4 which was flat and grassy with plenty of room to set up. Also close to toilet facility. Easy walk down to the fresh water river that was good to cool off for a splash & float on some very hot days. Bring a pair of wet shoes, as the river bottom is full of pebbles and rocks. I would recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a place that’s super quiet and away from the hustle of city life.

What a spot! This campsite is incredibly beautiful and created the environment for timeout with the family. The sites are well kept, and spaced out to create privacy. The river was very refreshing on a few warm days. Thank you Bruce for letting us stay - we will be back!

This was our second stay here, and it was just as wonderful as the first. My partner and I absolutely love it and have just rebooked for Easter. It’s the perfect escape, surrounded by beautiful scenery and a very tranquil river. Bruce is very easy to communicate with and always happy to stop for a friendly chat when passing by the sites. Highly recommend Oxley Riverside!

Second time visiting this unreal spot. Just book and see for yourself. Can't buy serenity like this. Toilets are a luxury!!! Wash in the freshwater river of the evening.....we even caught a coupla herring....Cheers for having us Bruce!!!!

Site 3 - Oxley Riverside (level RV area)

We had an incredible stay at Oxley River campsite If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, this is it. Our pitch had a stunning view of the river, and the stargazing at night was top-notch. The site is well-spaced, so we didn't feel cramped by our neighbours. Perfect for those who want to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. We’ll definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our camping experience. The property was clean with easy access to on site toilets. We had plenty of space between our site and the neighbours. It was a peaceful spot and we liked exploring and swimming in the creek. The owner Bruce also took the time to introduce himself and say hello. We would happily return.
