Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking. (Saturday night 2-night minimum) There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. When it's not being used for a race, the public can take a spin around the course and visit wineries along the track. Visit the National Motor Racing Museum, right next to the track. The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum boasts a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton and the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery is home to a wonderful collection of Australian paintings and contemporary artworks. Lovely little spot overlooking a small dam full of water lilies, ducks and an amazing chorus of frogs. Blessed with dappled shade in both the morning and afternoon. It was windy so I camped off to the side so we wouldn't be directly underneath the big gums. Note there is a road on the other side of the dam so you do see and hear utes fanging along, but not loud enough to wake us. My little guy had a great time feeding the animals, and we loved being able to pick fruit and eat it straight off the bushes. It's also great having the shop and cafe for some creature comforts. Jaime was friendly and helpful too :)

Review is a lovely campsite with spacious sites and functional amenities. The Colo River is a treasure. Yarra is exceptionally efficient with great communication and really gives that personal touch. Highly recommended. I also look forward to visiting their other sister site called Whispering Gums.

We had the best stay. Loved picking and eating nectarines fresh off the trees, feeding the animals in the morning, the tractor ride, the play area for the kids and being able to enjoy our iced coffees. The only downside is how far the toilets are from the camp site, but even that was okay. Camp Site 8 was surrounded by other campsites, but the sites are all spacioius, so it didnt feel crowded. The hosts were absolutely lovely!

Jaime and Nathan are honestly some of the nicest people you’ll meet. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. The campsite itself is awesome—huge spaces for tents and plenty of room for the kids to roam. The café has seriously good coffee (a lifesaver for parents!), and everyone we met was so helpful and friendly. The kids loved the tractor ride and meeting the farm animals—it’s the kind of simple joy that makes camping special. There’s even a sandpit where the kids played for two hours (which gave me a chance to doze off :) ). They said they wanted to stay there forever!

The rates are reasonable and the sites are wide. Firepits, shower and toilets available. There is a cafe open during our stay plus fruits that we can freely pick and eat (just be reasonable in the amount you take) there are friendly farm animals that you can join in feeding them in the morning. Great for families and friends looking for something fun, close to Sydney activities. Only downside is if it is hot, there isn’t any shade so prepare your own shelter, and only 1 shower is available.

Great spot! Lovely owners, awesome location variety of camping spots with shade of sun clean amenities. There were many families with kids and pets. Kids could play on swings or in water. Entry to the river was easy and water was beautiful warm over super clean and safe for kids in any ages. Hardly recommend ;)

Perched on the ridge with spectacular views, our farm promises a true escape. Located 25 minutes from the beautiful village of Taralga, ours is a spot to unwind. With a large campsite, you can fit several large tents. When permitted, there’s a great campfire set up with a grill ready to go. Please bring a back up gas cooker in case of fire ban. There are no toilet facilities or fresh water, so you will need to come prepared. Access is via a steep dirt road. At night, the skies are majestic, and the sunrise and sunsets are spectacular. Lots of wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, owls, eagles, hawks, goats, deer, and the occasional reptile! Taralga is home to the Argyle Inn, pub, general store and more. The famous Laggan Pub is 25 minutes and Crookwell just a bit past that. The grass has been cut back for safety. An old table and chairs are provided on site. We do not allow hunting or weapons on our property.
