Good Paddock is located just 5 minutes out of town with a beautiful little fresh water creek. The property has access to mountain to a mountain hike, 4WD trails and glow worm tunnel access. The paddock is flat and grassy, any type of tent or van can be set up around a campfire. This paddock used to be inhabited by Miners and locals, so you will find bomb shelters, rail tracks and other little historical objects in the ground. There are distant neighbours past the trees. At the top of the mountain there is a breathtaking view of the whole town. This site is close to many gems of the area and there are many 4WD trails. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control and cleaned up after. Campfires are also permitted when there is no restrictions in place.

Campers will have access to the amenities block with toilets and showers. Power is available. There are several water taps available. The showground is located in the heart of Oberon, a small rural community located just 2.5 hours from Sydney. Situated on a plateau at a height of 1130m above sea level, Oberon is on the western fall of the Blue Mountains. Enjoy the nearby spectacular scenery, Jenolan Caves, alpine lake, Mayfield and other fabulous cool climate gardens. The showground is a short walk to shops and restaurants, pubs and clubs. The Visitors information Centre is conveniently just across the road. Pets welcome on leash and under control.

Blue Mountains Grass Tree Bush Camp

Firstly, a big thankyou for all of the positive reviews. They have just contributed to Grass Tree Campground being awarded 3rd place in NSW for Hipcamp venues. It is great to get the feedback that campers appreciate this for what it is, a simple little Primitive Campground with generous spacing for each group to enjoy their own camping experience. The Grass Tree Bush Camp is conveniently located just 2.5km north of Katoomba town center, so you can easily take advantage of all the upper mountain attractions in this amazing ‘World Heritage’ listed area. If we are booked out, we do have a couple of overflow sites that might suit your rig, so please reach out and we will see if we can help out. If you are planning on having a fire, please do not remove firewood from the surrounding bushland. As you can imagine, if campers did that, the atmosphere of the campground would quickly deteriorate. Please plan to bring some from home, purchase some from the local service stations ($18 for 15kg), or alternatively, we can drop a 25+kg crate of mixed hardwood at your site for $20. If the later suits, just let me know. However, it is ok to collect small amount of kindling to start your fire. Fires are restricted to existing fire pits to minimize scars on the ground. If you prefer to bring your own fire pit we ask that you leave no trace. Fires are only permitted when there are no RFS bans in place, we will communicate directly with you, in advance, if there are any upcoming 'Extreme' or 'Catastrophic' fire day warnings from the RFS. Please be extra vigilant around this as our community is only just recovering after the devastating recent fires. Fires are to be modest and discrete. Out of respect for our neighbors and other campers, please do not use a chainsaw at the campground. Please do not leave rubbish in your fire pit. Things like cigarette butts, cans, beer caps and food scraps need to be taken with you. We pride ourselves with keeping the sites as pristine as possible and ask that you follow our 'leave no trace' policy. Note: there is no water on the property so you will need to allow enough to ensure you have completely extinguished your fire before you depart. The site numbers correspond with this direction of travel. The campground is tranquil and has a large open, flat grassy clearing in the middle for family games. The secluded clearing is boarded by a Woodland forest with stunning flora like Waratahs, Xanthorrhoea's (Grass Trees), Orchids and Banksias. The property is home to many beautiful species of fauna like Gang-gang Cockatoo's, Eastern Rosella's and the cheeky iconic Magpie which will warble a warm welcome. The grassy clearing is occasionally frequented by Kangaroos at dawn and dusk. Just a stones throw from the property you have easy access to world class lookouts and bush walks. If you are into climbing, canyoning, trekking, trail running, cafes, restaurants or walking along breath taking National Park trails, then you will love visiting our area. If you are unfamiliar with the area, we recommend visiting the Information Centre at Echo Point to get all the information you need for your intended activities. This camp is perfect for groups/families wanting to have a campfire, a bit of space from other campers and to have room for the kids to run around and kick a ball. There is a composting toilet on-site with toilet paper and Hand Sanitizer supplied. When you visit the toilet, after you have finished, please place 1 cup of Sawdust into the toilet after a wee, and 2 cups after a Number Two. This bulkage is a significant element to the success of the composting process. If you use the last of the paper on a toilet roll, the cardboard roll can be thrown into the toilet as well to be composted. If you think anything is not how it should be with the composting Toilet, please reach out and we will come and take a look. Well behaved pets are welcome and we encourage you to keep your dog on a lead if they are likely to adventure too far from your site and disturb the local wildlife or other campers. At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining. An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. I have only owned this property for a couple of years so there is not much here, every camper that stays helps to improve and maintain the land for future use. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Each campsite is private, some more so than others - Read each description for details. I allow self check in, but also love meeting campers. I won't disturb you unless you ask me to. Don't come in a hurry. The road has a 7.5 tonne limit.

Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks. - we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. Leave it better than as you found it.

It is great to get the feedback that campers appreciate this for what it is, a simple little Primitive Campground with generous spacing for each group to enjoy their own camping experience. The Grass Tree Bush Camp is conveniently located just 2.5km north of Katoomba town center, so you can easily take advantage of all the upper mountain attractions in this amazing ‘World Heritage’ listed area. If we are booked out, we do have a couple of overflow sites that might suit your rig, so please reach out and we will see if we can help out. If you are planning on having a fire, please do not remove firewood from the surrounding bushland. As you can imagine, if campers did that, the atmosphere of the campground would quickly deteriorate. Please plan to bring some from home, purchase some from the local service stations ($18 for 15kg), or alternatively, we can drop a 25+kg crate of mixed hardwood at your site for $20. If the later suits, just let me know. However, it is ok to collect small amount of kindling to start your fire. Fires are restricted to existing fire pits to minimize scars on the ground. If you prefer to bring your own fire pit we ask that you leave no trace. Fires are only permitted when there are no RFS bans in place, we will communicate directly with you, in advance, if there are any upcoming 'Extreme' or 'Catastrophic' fire day warnings from the RFS. At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining. An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. I have only owned this property for a couple of years so there is not much here, every camper that stays helps to improve and maintain the land for future use. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Each campsite is private, some more so than others - Read each description for details. I allow self check in, but also love meeting campers. I won't disturb you unless you ask me to. I will accommodate wherever possible. Update 25/4/24 - Please note, Megalong Road (the only access in to and out of Megalong Valley) sustained a major landslide on 5/4/24. The road is open, but there is boom gates, an escort vehicle and one lane open only. The journey down is slow, with tight corners, but it is beautiful. Take your time & enjoy it. Don't come in a hurry. The road has a 7.5 tonne limit.

The showground is located in the heart of Oberon, a small rural community located just 2.5 hours from Sydney. Situated on a plateau at a height of 1130m above sea level, Oberon is on the western fall of the Blue Mountains. Enjoy the nearby spectacular scenery, Jenolan Caves, alpine lake, Mayfield and other fabulous cool climate gardens. The showground is a short walk to shops and restaurants, pubs and clubs. The Visitors information Centre is conveniently just across the road. Pets welcome on leash and under control.

'The Refinery' at Hartley Vale

Built on the site of the old Hartley Vale oil shale works that closed in 1916, 'The Refinery" was re-established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.

Good Paddock

Good Paddock is located just 5 minutes out of town with a beautiful little fresh water creek. The property has access to mountain to a mountain hike, 4WD trails and glow worm tunnel access. The paddock is flat and grassy, any type of tent or van can be set up around a campfire. This paddock used to be inhabited by Miners and locals, so you will find bomb shelters, rail tracks and other little historical objects in the ground. There are distant neighbours past the trees. At the top of the mountain there is a breathtaking view of the whole town. This site is close to many gems of the area and there are many 4WD trails. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control and cleaned up after. Campfires are also permitted when there is no restrictions in place.

With only two allocated camping/van zones enjoy the privacy and access to walk around the 40 acres. Located 1.15 hrs from Sydney CBD this is an ideal place for a quick weekend getaway for keen hikers, mountain bikers and nature enthusiasts. Surrounded by the Marramarra National Park you have a short drive to access the Canoelands Ridge Trail (17kms), Duckponds Ridge Trail, Marrarra Ridge to Smugglers Point Ridge Trail. Enjoy a tour at the Canoelands Orchard, a short drive to dine at Wiseman Ferry, and only 11 minutes from the local Woolworths. Your camping/van area is supplied with red/yellow bins, and camping toilet is provided. Dogs allowed but please let me know first. They will need to be unleash all the time and well behaved. Please pick up after them and also they must be vaccinated. A campfire during permitted times is allowed but only in the fire pits. There is loads of dried kindling and small logs around the property otherwise byo. Beautiful spot to relax, with loads of wildlife and bird watching. Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. Redgate dates back to the late 1800s as a site that convicts built a barricade and huts along. You will have a sense of this when you enter through the old rustic cattle sheds and cattle crush. We have constructed our Tiny Homes in keeping with the style of the property. Over the driveway is the Biobank Stewardship area (that joins to a quiet State Reserve) that is protecting a rare butterfly, possum and tiny bat. Take walks in this area but tread lightly! Enjoy the best of the comforts of flushing toilets (supplied by our own rain water tank) and electricity connected to solar whilst enjoying the surrounds of a beautiful spot in nature. Built on the site of the old Hartley Vale oil shale works that closed in 1916, 'The Refinery" was re-established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.

At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining. An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. I have only owned this property for a couple of years so there is not much here, every camper that stays helps to improve and maintain the land for future use. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Each campsite is private, some more so than others - Read each description for details. I allow self check in, but also love meeting campers. I won't disturb you unless you ask me to. If you would like to meet me, talk about the property, Megalong or the Blue Mountains I would be more than happy to come and see you - Just reach out on arrival. I have grown up in this area so can recommend just about anything! If you would like to meet the animals (goats, peacocks, chickens, geese, dog, cat) please just ask. I will accommodate wherever possible. Update 25/4/24 - Please note, Megalong Road (the only access in to and out of Megalong Valley) sustained a major landslide on 5/4/24. The road is open, but there is boom gates, an escort vehicle and one lane open only. The journey down is slow, with tight corners, but it is beautiful. Take your time & enjoy it. Don't come in a hurry. The road has a 7.5 tonne limit.
