T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. The Centre houses a comprehensive exhibition hall including an extensive photographic collection, models, hands-on exhibits and a one of a kind immersive theatre. You will find information about the Scheme such as engineering, the environment, the National Electricity Market, history, water management and power generation. Make it your base camp while enjoying all that the winter season has to offer and lets not forget the skiing and snow boarding of course. Well that's just a sample of some of the things you can do but if all that sounds like too much, just put your feet up and have a rest at your campsite!! P.S. The annual Dalgety Show is held on the first Sunday in March every year and did you know that Dalgety was one of the sites considered for our country's capital. Telstra 4G coverage on the property, limited Optus coverage.

Tinpot Farm is about 90 acres with about an acre and half of camping space on river frontage. Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated. All Guests are required to have an acceptable camp toilet, no holes in the ground. All river access points are shared, be mindful of others. As dogs are welcome and even well behaved dogs will be dogs when it comes to their family, all guests are advised to make themselves known prior to going near another's camp site, then there is no surprises either way. It is home to native animals big and small and many natural features and views. Close by you can enjoy the Eucumbene dam 10 minutes to the North with great Trout fishing and Jindabyne 25 minutes to the South. Kosciousko National Park is located to the West with several access points. Sitting at an elevation of 1270m above sea level it gets blanketed in snow in winter and beautiful sun in summer.

Millwood is located 6kms from COOMA n.s.w. in the Snowy Mountains Region and is within easy reach to a number of great locations. It is about 90 minutes from Canberra, just over an hour from Thredbo and Perisher and Mt Selwyn snowfields and 1.5 hours from all the beautiful beaches that the South Coast has to offer. A short drive of under 7 minutes takes you to the Murrumbidgee River on a sealed council road. There is a flat grassed picnic area and council gas run b-bques under cover. You may find internet and mobile not fully covered here. I have a mobile that I use which works well depending where I stand. Now has 3 adjacent camp sites available. If not booked by others its a quiet spot amongst a bush setting. also offers an RV site. You can relax around your firepit and enjoy watching the beautiful wildlife that come to visit the property including Kangaroos, Wombats and a variety of native birds. The host runs a Day Spa from her home so you may like to treat yourself to some self care. Please check with host as to availability of Spa Treatments. Why not check out our outdoor clawfoot bath during your stay. It's an amazing experience under the stars! Tank water is available but please use sparingly. The surrounding region is hugely popular for cyclists and bushwalkers with many great tracks available to explore. Mt Gladstone now has a popular track and Iread there are plans for a big upgrade. There is a lookout at the top and can recommend Miss Heides Austrian Restaurent. Amazing authentic home cooked bavarian meals in a rustic log cabin with a fireplace. The Murrumbidgee River is just about 4 klms away, where you can enjoy a picnic along it's banks and take a dip if it's warm enough. We prefer campers who are fully self contained. Campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is an outside basic toilet that is a compost type with sawdust and is cleaned regularly. No pets please as we have a wildlife corridor here. * I am considering quiet well behaved pets for campers but not in the bush hut. Will verify soon*.

Roagumba, or Roa for short, is our 920 acre patch of paradise in the stunning Yowrie Valley on the NSW Far South Coast. Roa is a family owned working cattle farm, made up of approximately 60% cleared land and the rest native bushland. The Yowrie Valley is surrounded by the beautiful Wadbilliga National Park, giving it a sense of remote seculsion whilst being only a 15 minute drive from the township of Cobargo. The valley is a 35 minute drive to the stunning beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away. The crystal clear Yowrie River flows along the western side of the property with numerous secluded swimming holes. The property is a working cattle farm so you're likely to meet some very friendly cows during your stay, as well as a lot of native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and birds. We operate three Hipcamp sites and two different locations on the property. Mountain Camp is a single site and offers complete seclusion and privacy, while River Camp is a double site and offers views across the valley whilst only being metres from the river. Both locations have composting toilets and Mountain Camp has an additional undercover camp kitchen. We cater for small groups and families who are seeking a quiet, peaceful escape. Our sites are small and are capped at 6 people each, per night. To reduce vehcile traffic, protect our farms biosecurity and out of respect to our neighbours, there is a maximum of 2 vehicles allowed per site.

This has 4 bedrooms bathroom, 3 rooms have queen size and 1 has a single, kitchen, heating when required is a slow combustion wood stove very relaxing. There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. No set areas for camping - choose when you get here. Suitable for caravans, motor homes, tents. Lots of options! No mobile phone reception if you walk around the paddock you may get a signal, If you need to contact us once you have a booking, contact us via email or landline. Temperature can change quickly and in winter you could be snowed in, so be prepared.

T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. The Centre houses a comprehensive exhibition hall including an extensive photographic collection, models, hands-on exhibits and a one of a kind immersive theatre. You will find information about the Scheme such as engineering, the environment, the National Electricity Market, history, water management and power generation. Make it your base camp while enjoying all that the winter season has to offer and lets not forget the skiing and snow boarding of course. Well that's just a sample of some of the things you can do but if all that sounds like too much, just put your feet up and have a rest at your campsite!! P.S. The annual Dalgety Show is held on the first Sunday in March every year and did you know that Dalgety was one of the sites considered for our country's capital. Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated. All Guests are required to have an acceptable camp toilet, no holes in the ground. All river access points are shared, be mindful of others. As dogs are welcome and even well behaved dogs will be dogs when it comes to their family, all guests are advised to make themselves known prior to going near another's camp site, then there is no surprises either way. You can relax around your firepit and enjoy watching the beautiful wildlife that come to visit the property including Kangaroos, Wombats and a variety of native birds. The host runs a Day Spa from her home so you may like to treat yourself to some self care. Please check with host as to availability of Spa Treatments. Why not check out our outdoor clawfoot bath during your stay. It's an amazing experience under the stars! Tank water is available but please use sparingly. The surrounding region is hugely popular for cyclists and bushwalkers with many great tracks available to explore. Mt Gladstone now has a popular track and Iread there are plans for a big upgrade. There is a lookout at the top and can recommend Miss Heides Austrian Restaurent. Amazing authentic home cooked bavarian meals in a rustic log cabin with a fireplace. The Murrumbidgee River is just about 4 klms away, where you can enjoy a picnic along it's banks and take a dip if it's warm enough. We prefer campers who are fully self contained. Campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is an outside basic toilet that is a compost type with sawdust and is cleaned regularly. You have a choice of two shipping containers, both furnished with a double bed. As well as two campsites to pitch your own tent, on a flat grassy area near the converted shipping containers. A shared toilet and hot shower is located 80m from the accommodation. You will have access to drinking water if required. This is a working farm approx 70% cleared remainder bush. Sub Alpine so the temperature can change quickly and snow, the area has quite a verity of bird and animals. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. What a ripper HipCamp. The views are amazing and you have the whole campsite to yourself. Great fire set up with log benches either side. A composting toilet if you need. The drive in is down a steep track. You want high clearance. We have a 19ft off road caravan with a 4WD and had no troubles getting in. There is a beautiful , but steep 1km walking track down to the Murrumbidgee River. The hosts were lovely. We have stayed at a lot of HipCamps, this would be 1 of our favourites. We book for 1 night, stayed for 2 and will be back.

At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the "hayshed". Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Since the early 1800s our property has been a sheep and cattle grazing farm. Our first ancestors settled in this area in 1821 and we enjoy a rich historical connection to our country. Little has changed since those early days with native pastures and forests existing in harmony with wildlife and livestock. You will likely see emu and a vast array of other birdlife, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, crayfish and small fish. There are two creeks, both with 4km frontage on the property. Native plants, flowers and trees are in abundance. Farm infrastructure includes timber stock yards, buildings and sheds, some dating back to the 1800s. Four distinct seasons occur at this latitude and elevation. However, weather is changeable throughout the year so always be prepared for sudden changes in conditions. Snow can fall periodically during winter but on occasions even on Christmas Day. Campfire pits at campsites can be used except when fire bans are imposed and in unfavourably hot and or windy conditions.

Bring your swag, tent, camper trailer or caravan. Set up, relax, enjoy the natural environment and wildlife as you let the world go by. See eagles soaring above, echidnas, rosella and lots of kangaroos. Or, for the more adventurous, explore the nearby area and take a walk to the Big Hole and the Marble Arch. The kids will love playing in the Shoalhaven River (1km from property) where the rocks are ever changing as they are washed downstream. Wyanbene Caves are approx 6.5km away. Whilst you can enter the start of the cave, a permit is required for real cave exploration. We are centrally located being 90km from Cooma (partially dirt), 140km from Canberra and 100km from the coast at Batemans Bay. The closes town of Braidwood is 45km away. It boasts an IGA, fuel, coffee shops, boutique stores and lots more. We are at an elevation of between 700-800m so it can be quite chilly at night. Never mind, a sit round the fire pit will warm you up before bed. BYO firewood. There's plenty of kindling you can collect yourself in close proximity to camp areas. Being in the country, there are some creatures about that you may not want to encounter but need to be aware of. Snakes - black, brown, tiger, death adder. Keep your eyes open and wear boots or covered shoes. Not often seen in open paddocks. Hibernate during winter. Feral: Pigs, Dogs, Deer, Rabbits, Foxes (mostly unseen but leave their evidence around) Whilst you may bring your pets with you, they must be kept on leash at all times as neighbouring properties run livestock. There is 2km of good dirt road once you leave the sealed (but potholed at time of writing) Cooma Rd. You will need to cross the Shoalhaven River over a concrete causeway that is mostly dry. However, after heavy rain, the causeway can become flooded and impassable. Whilst this can be a little unpredictable for booking in advance, a full refund will be provided should your booking require cancellation due to flooding. Please bring your own potable water and your own toilet. Camp sites are continually being improved so please check out new campsites and facilities if you are rebooking for a future stay.

We have 40 beautiful acres on The Snowy River Way in Jindabyne with several large, private sites. Groups are welcome to have their own spot together and each site has a fire pit. We are only 10 minutes from Lake Jindabyne – turn left to head up to the mountains (a further 30 minutes to Thredbo or Perisher) or right to explore Jindabyne township and its boutiques, breweries, cafes and cinema. Stop in at The Station Resort on the way back from the mountains, just five minutes away for a nice feed and game of pool (during winter). Our property is on a hill with a dam midway up if you’re looking for a nice walk. Do a loop for spectacular views! Come and enjoy the beautiful outlook and natural wildlife. Rest in peace and privacy or get out to enjoy all the Snowy Mountains has to offer. Whether you come for snow sports, water sports, biking, hiking, yoga or reading – adventure and relaxation awaits. Access to all sites is via a tree-lined driveway. To get to the western paddock and Sunset, Pine View and Hilltop sites, the turn off the drive to get through the fence means that small to medium setups are suitable. To get to the eastern paddock and Sunrise and Birch Grove sites, the turn off the driveway is a bit wider to allow for larger setups. Please check the details for size recommendations – the maximum sizes listed are for your total setup, including your car and anything towed. The sites at the bottom of the property closest to the road have easy access and more protection in windy weather, but if you have a 4WD and are wanting to sit and enjoy the 360 degree rural views then head up the hill to our Hilltop site. We can supply firewood, kindling and fire starters for a small fee, just message us in advance, or you can BYO. Strictly no foraging for wood from the property please. There’s also no power hookups, taps or toilets so it's fully self-sufficient camping. For the peace of other campers, we don't allow generators or pets, sorry. **Please let me know if you are bringing a caravan, I can only accomodate caravans at certain sites with the weather** Our property is just 25 minutes from Canberra City but feels a world away, and offers a peaceful country paradise and wide open spaces. We have several sites for 100% self-contained campers, where you'll be spoilt with spectacular views of the Tinderry Mountains, access to undulating walking trails, and the Namadgi National Park nearby. On clear nights, the stars here are spellbinding. We have many animals here too! View our placid Scottish Galloway cattle (currently with calves!) pat our friendly poddy Cody and grab a photo opportunity. We also have a beautiful horse Ali and her yearling colt diesel, just watch your fingers with him, gelded now but still thinks he’s a stallion. 5 fat Dorper sheep look like running rugs running around. A real country experience! An Angora goat and slashed tracks to access the beautiful 130 acres around the farm. The small village of Michelago is 5km from our property, has the fuel servo and a terrific General Store, which serves great burgers and milkshakes plus much more. 20mins to the town of Bredbo with its own pub is great for counter lunches and dinners. The Town of Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy mountains is a 40 min drive south. Also if you want to go camping with friends and introduce them to the great outdoors and they don’t have the gear ask about our hire service of all things needed to have a great camp, some are listed but more is always available to hire, just send me a message. We are using technology to create energy and resource efficient accommodation. Our 2 bedroom spacious cottages are spread out on our 30ac Snow Gum Parklands. Each cottage is private with plenty of area to expand and relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hotplates and micro wave. There is a bath room with shower and toilet with another separate toilet and drying room. We are only 2klm to the centre of town but it may as well be 100klm away as there is many native animals and flora and no neighbours. We are located next to Jindabyne Airstrip. There are very few flights in and out of the airstrip which is a real novelty if you see an aircraft. Our unique cottages are powered by solar power with no grid connect and use rain water that falls on site. All our linen is washed in spring water by on site solar power and dried by wind and sunlight which is a huge saving to the environment. Our cottages are constructed using local granite so they can blend into the environment. The new cottages are built to be insulated from the Winter cold and the Summer heat. Double glazed and double insulated cottages which are orientated to make the use of the Sun where the hot summer Sun does not enter the cottages and in Winter the Sun flows in to keep the cottages warm. In Winter with the use of a wood fired heater the cottages stay toasty warm and if not regulated properly can get quiet hot. Our Snow Gum woodland environment supports native birds and animals which come and go as they please.
