We loved our stay at this camp, perfect for families. Kids had a great time feeding the animals, collecting eggs, running free in the beautiful paddocks and play area. Yifu is friendly and booking in was easy and well communicated. We caught a few fish and enjoyed camping alongside the alpacas. Clean, close amenities. The geese add a bit of character to the stay! We will be back, so close to Canberra too!.

Weekend Trip to Truffle Farm Camping

We absolutely loved camping at the truffle farm. The cows and horses were incredibly cute and the little walk to the river was gorgeous, we felt like we were on the edge of the earth. The stars overnight were beautiful and the fresh farm eggs in the morning were a delightful touch. I'd love to be back!

We had an absolutely fantastic time on our recent camping trip! The weather was perfect despite the forecast for rain, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our host, Garth, was incredibly friendly and active, making sure we had everything we needed from firewood to making sure we were comfortable in our location on the grounds. The open fire was a hit with the whole family, and the views were simply breathtaking. The location offered a small dam with a perfect fishing spot where one of the kids caught their first fish, plenty of open space, and the added charm of a cheeky sheep, dogs, and chickens that made the experience. It’s truly a child-friendly haven where everyone can enjoy the outdoors. This trip has definitely moved to the top of our list amongst the top 3 camping spots we’ve visited. Thank you, Garth, for making it such a memorable experience!

Weekend Trip to Farmily Land

It‘s an excellent family campsite, very suitable for families with children. It has very clean toilets and warm water for showering. The lovely farm owners have given each little animals a name and know the habits of every one of them. They are very friendly. Children can collect eggs, feed guinea pigs, quails, horses and rabbits. One very interesting I saw was one hen who would come out of the cage every morning and walk to her secret place to lay eggs, it is so funny. My 5 years old girl is very enjoy the stay of this campsite, highly recommend.

Beautiful location, close to Goulburn but far enough away from the town to see the beautiful stars. The hosts are friendly and can never do enough for you. They helped start the fire for us and we had a great chat with them. We have told others of this place. It's worth the visit. We hope to come back again!

We just returned from the most magical stay at this campsite and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning views that took our breath away. The setting is peaceful, scenic, and perfect for anyone looking to unplug and soak in nature. What really sets this campsite apart are the farm animals – a huge hit with our kids! They loved picking fresh eggs in the morning, feeding the friendly pony and rabbits, and watching the geese wander around. It’s like staying in a storybook farm! The facilities are spotless and thoughtfully designed, making the stay super comfortable. Showers were hot, everything was well maintained, and you can tell the hosts really care about the place – and their guests. Speaking of which, the host was absolutely amazing – warm, welcoming, and full of great local tips. If you’re looking for a unique, family-friendly camping experience with a little extra magic, this is hands-down the best campsite ever. We’re already planning our next trip back!

Thanks Luke and Victoria for a wonderful Easter stay. Even though we shared the property with other campers there was plenty of space to spread out and our spot up on the hill was perfect. The amenities were great and the view from the top of the hill was fantastic. The property was easy to find and accessible with a camper trailer. We will definitely be back again!

This is a working farm approx 70% cleared remainder bush. Sub Alpine so the temperature can change quickly and snow, the area has quite a verity of bird and animals. There are currently 5 paddocks available no set campsites you pick your own site near mountain stream or in the bush also available is a self-contained cottage (view our separate listing for Calabash Manager's Cottage). This has 4 bedrooms bathroom and kitchen heating when required is a slow combustion wood stove very relaxing. There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. No set areas for camping - choose when you get here. Suitable for caravans, motor homes, tents. Lots of options! We have several sites for 100% self-contained campers, where you'll be spoilt with spectacular views of the Tinderry Mountains, access to undulating walking trails, and the Namadgi National Park nearby. On clear nights, the stars here are spellbinding. We have many animals here too! View our placid Scottish Galloway cattle (currently with calves!) pat our friendly poddy Cody and grab a photo opportunity. We also have a beautiful horse Ali and her yearling colt diesel, just watch your fingers with him, gelded now but still thinks he’s a stallion. 5 fat Dorper sheep look like running rugs running around. A real country experience! An Angora goat and slashed tracks to access the beautiful 130 acres around the farm. The small village of Michelago is 5km from our property, has the fuel servo and a terrific General Store, which serves great burgers and milkshakes plus much more. 20mins to the town of Bredbo with its own pub is great for counter lunches and dinners. The Town of Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy mountains is a 40 min drive south. Also if you want to go camping with friends and introduce them to the great outdoors and they don’t have the gear ask about our hire service of all things needed to have a great camp, some are listed but more is always available to hire, just send me a message. Several kilometres of marked walking trails within the property. Explore the creek line, hike up the mountain to the old stone trig point, walk to the swimming hole on the creek with jetty, picnic area and rowboat. Numerous picnic spots. A swimming dam, jetty, and picnic sites are accessible via marked walking and driving tracks. There are also several kms of walking tracks directly from the campsite along Sandhills Creek and the 'mountain paddock'. Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, put in watering infrastructure and built our house which we finally moved in when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity and food. If your lucky you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity you will find that in the mornings and evenings kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbit and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a firepit, drinking water and a camp kitchen. The firepit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow for your pets to stay onsite, this also includes horses. If you want exclusive use of the paddocks - refer to Group Bush Retreat.

The bathroom is a shared amenities block with 2 showers and 3 toilets a short walk through the gardens. There is access to a laundry.Paddy's Hut is self-contained for your comfort, and the perfect location for a family getaway, a group of friends to relax and unwind, or offer the creature comforts to stage you wildlife adventures from.Enjoy the evenings around the campfire as you tell tales under the stars.Pets are welcome, but please be aware the owners have two of their own friendly dogs who are likely to stop by and say hello.
