Karen was very welcoming and helpful from day1. We were given options to choose from different spots as they were available. Campsite itself were levelled and trimmed. Kids enjoyed the farmlamd and open space was just amazing for star gazing.

The hobby sheep farm is a beautiful property. Myself, my partner, and our dog were greeted on arrival by our host, who was accommodating. We were travelling back home from Northern NSW and just stopping for the night, the host kindly helped us find a dry spot to park our ute.
We set up camp on a flat spot in the paddock alongside the sheep and started settling in when we heard a group approaching, the was after dark closer to 8pm. One of them said something along the lines of “don’t shine there, there's campers there,” so they were clearly aware of where we were set up.
Shortly after, a very loud firework went off, part of it exploding extremely close to our tent. It was not small, the sound was like a gunshot, which alarmed both us and our dog. My partner spoke with the group, and they agreed not to set off any more fireworks, which we appreciated. However, the next 2 hours were still noisy, with engines being revved, loud conversations, and laughing. It also took quite a while to settle our dog again, who normally doesn’t react to fireworks from a distance.
Given the host knew we were there and that we had a dog, this was very disappointing. We had expected a quiet, relaxing stopover based on the reviews, but unfortunately the disturbance ruined the evening.

We had a great time staying at the Dam View site. The scenery was amazing (with awesome sunset views) and our little one loved seeing all the sheep and chickens and wildlife. Ron was a legend of a host, and was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us directions to a great river for swimming nearby. We will definitely be back!

Relatively flat area close to the dam. Quiet with the only noise being all the different bird life. We were lucky enough to see an echidna waddle by.

Dam view campsite was easy to access and overall had a pleasant stay.
Toilet was a short walk and was easy to access throughout the night.
It was lovely to wake up to roosters crowing in morning.
There is two sites one near the dam and the other that overlooks the actual dam itself.
Would definitely come back for another stay

Nice dam and peaceful location. Close to Goulburn, Bungonia and Shoalhaven River.
Ron was very friendly and hospitable.
I’m not too keen on roosters being noisy at 5am but they can’t help it and it is a farm so I accept that.

Ron's hobby sheep farm is quite large, the camping area was nice and flat, well grassed with easy access, and a westward border of pine trees that provided some shelter from strong westerly winds we experienced over our stay. There is 10A power available and even an EV type 2 charger. A single toilet out house is fed from a rainwater tank with a potable water tap off the rainwater tank. A Genorous size fire ring is present for low fire danger periods. There are multiple dams and some goldfish ponds with recycled solar powered water features. Plenty of open paddocks with sheep and access tracks to walk around the property. With a low number of other guests we had an undisturbed quiet relaxing family weekend.

Really loved camping next to the dam, lots of shade and a great chorus of frogs to enjoy at sunset. Ron and Karen are very attentive to your needs and very helpful with their local knowledge.

We overlooked the dam, which was absolutely beautiful and full of bird life. The property is very spacious and peaceful. We didn’t notice any other campers. Ron is very friendly and a great host. We’d visit again without hesitation.

Absolutely legendary hospitality from Ron!
We were freezing in our tent, our little one was not feeling well, and we were seriously considering heading back home early. But then came Ron, genuinely one of the kindest and most generous people we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond and offered us a warm, safe place to spend the night. His friendliness, care, and down-to-earth nature truly turned our experience around.
We can’t thank him enough. Highly, highly recommend – not just for the camping spot, but for the beautiful human behind it.

Quiet, clean and peaceful surroundings. Stayed 3 nights and had the whole place to ourselves. Camped beside the dam and although not far from the road it was still very private as hardly any cars passed by, no more than 3 a day max. Not too many flat sites close to the dam but we managed to level out our camper trailer. Clean flushing toilet was a bonus. Highly recommended.

What an incredible location! We had the entire open ground to ourselves, surrounded by nature and curious kangaroos during the day. The views were unreal—perfect for both sunrise and sunset. The whole place had such a magical vibe. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape

Ron was super kind and accommodating due to weather we couldn’t stay the whole time but for what we did was fantastic, we enjoyed a family picnic by the dam and which our dog loved! Toilet super close and grounds are beautiful. Thank you :)

Beautiful spot to stay! Ron and his wife are amazing hosts, came and checked in on us post set up. Very approachable people. Great amenities, just a short walk from the camp-site. A beautiful sunrise/sunset view amongst a friendly herd of sheep. Great spot to bring the dog along. Definitely be returning soon!

Great views and host. Would suggest the tree line against the neighbours fence without overhead heavy branches, in summer. Would have been very private, apart from the British tourists wondering past my camp, last thing at night and first thing in the morning with loud kids.

Great stay here with friends. Hosts are super lovely to have a quick chat with. Nice to have a walk around the place with the sheep. Had a swim in the river 20min away. Would recommend and keen to come back again sometime.

Such a special experience camping at Ron’s! We had the whole property to ourselves. Ron was an awesome host and super easy going. We stayed in the sheep paddock which over looked a beautiful damn. Great walk down to the back of the property where there is another damn and stunning views. Perfect place to switch off.

Absolutely best place we’ve ever camped hands down. The farm was spacious and offered a variety of views ranging from dams, fields and farm animal. The campsite itself was absolutely gorgeous, spacious and away from other campers. We had plenty of firewood from all the surrounding downed trees. The toilet was clean and very well maintained with clean water available.
Ron is an absolute legend. Down to earth bloke who is always down for a good yarn. He went above and beyond from showing us around the farm and providing us recommendations for activities.
Can’t recommend this place enough. Would definitely come back.
