At the Confluence of the Mighty Llano River and the Majestic James River lies something completely unexpected - an undiscovered gem in the Texas hill country. The Dos Rios. We have over 19.3 acres of hill country beauty to explore. Take a casual dip in the mighty Llano River, or take the plunge off of 20-foot red rock cliffs into deep cool water. Kayak, canoe, swim, visit the Eckart Bat Cave, or take a scenic drive down the gorgeous James River Road (a winding gravel road that goes over several low water crossings on the crystal clear James River). Enjoy the island in front of the property, with its beaches and multiple access points to swimming holes. We also have camping, tiny homes, vintage airstreams, and modern glamping tents available (see other Hipcamp listings). Kayaks and canoes available for epic river trips too! www.dosriosrvpark.com

The campsite offers a serene escape with its beautiful riverside location and proximity to a quaint town. Most campers appreciate the well-kept grounds, friendly staff, and easy access to the river, making it ideal for outdoor activities like kayaking and fishing. The presence of clean facilities and available amenities adds to the comfort, although some found the campsites to be a bit crowded or the restrooms needing more attention. Overall, the campsite is a favored spot for those seeking a mix of relaxation and adventure in a picturesque setting.

Stayed in a tent with a friend and my dog and was the perfect sized lot. It was nice being right on the river. Only about 10 minutes from town if you needed to pickup anything. Colin was a quick communicator

This is our second time staying at Dos Rios. We always have a great time. The tent had everything it needed but was a little dirtier inside than what I expected after staying in the Jupe properties but nothing that would deter us from coming back. The host is super friendly and helpful. We love the proximity to the river and neighboring towns.

A great place to spend the weekend.
Great rv campground resort right on the river with a 20-acre island out back that you’re free to explore. Great for the kids, kayaks, & canoeing. Lots of stuff to do in the area, take a drive on country roads and listen to James Taylor sing it on the radio or a 10-minute drive downtown and explore the cool old-town vibe and great people and places to eat and drink. If your old and or handicapped like me, get a site close to the bathrooms/showers on the 2nd level, not right on the river, as it could be difficult going up and down the steps.

Site 12 - Dos Rios Camping
Overall, we had a great experience as a family of eight. The Ridge Loop area was a bit crowded, so I wouldn’t recommend it for larger families. The campsites themselves felt packed in and could benefit from being more spread out. There were quite a few cacti around, which made tent placement a little tricky. That said, the water was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. I’d definitely return, but next time I’d choose a larger site. A big plus was the availability of real restrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers.
