Semaphore Farm N1 Tent Site
RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 49 ftSAME-DAY BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE BY 2 PM THANKS. Semaphore Farm is a 400-acre property with convict history, bordering the Port Arthur historic site. It is a private timber reserve and a working forest farm. We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef.
The tent sites are mostly level and can be secluded. There's a communal fire pit for use when permitted, a rustic communal camp shed where there's a wood fire that heats the shed, and extra hot water. The shared camp shed has a sink, tables, chairs, BBQ, and a hot shower and is under magnificent shady trees.
Further away is a 'long-drop' composting toilet. Possum beach can be easily accessed (200m) There are nice walking and biking tracks leaving from the camp edge in the 150-acre forest.
We have many walking and bike trails through the 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers.
The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance with Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks including the Three Capes tracks are easily accessible.
Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. Plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle!
Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained).
