Panoramic. Let that word get you all riled up about visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. This wonderful section on undeveloped Lake Michigan coastline (best for swimming June through Labor Day) is a great place for both the young and old. Simply put, who doesn’t like climbing a sand hill? Especially when you see what’s on the other side… The area is full of fabulous biodiversity in the fields, plains, and woods, and there are beautiful views in all directions with more than enough hiking trails that’ll lead you to every last one of ‘em.

And what’s better to pair with bears than beers? Michigan’s city of Grand Rapids was voted as the best beer city in the USA in 2015. And we bet that even if you don’t make the 3-hour trek down there, you’ll find some pretty fantastic local brews for sale on your way to the lakeshore.
