Home to views that could make a hiker fall in love is Tallulah Gorge State Park. When thinking of Georgia, peaches sure do come to mind, but Tallulah offers something even sweeter... it’s gorge floor trail. This must do is a 2.5 mile round trip that takes you past stunning gorge overlooks, down 600 steps and onto some mid-river stone skippin’, intense boulder hoppin’, and mild rock climbing, ideal for your run of the mill adrenaline junkie. Prepare all your senses for the cascading beauty and those iffy passageways, you’ll need ‘em. Treat yourself to a rock slide at the end of the hike (best enjoyed in the summer). The campground may not be much to rave about, but with a hike like this, who can ask for more?
