If you wanna bag big peaks, San Isabel National Forest is your spot. With 19 of Colorado’s 14ers (mountains over 14,000 feet) within its 1.2 million acres, you’re gonna have to bring quite a few Bandits to celebrate with at the top of each (just be sure to pack them out with you)! Take your time though, because you might get distracted with the amazing trout fishing or find yourself at Ski Cooper making turns 'til they kick you out. The small mountain towns you’ll find nearby are filled with locals who have a deep enthusiasm for the outdoors, so when you swing in, buy a microbrew to share, and they just might tip ya on the best trails in the area. Over 300 days of sunshine will light your way through your San Isabel adventure, we’re sure you’ll be baggin’ peaks and takin’ names in no time!
