Edge of nowhere = very somewhere!
We loved camping here and can't wait to return. Full stop. Check-in was easy; we followed them to the site for a lay of the land; they dropped by to see if we needed anything the next day.
The land and property? Magnificent!! Amazing 360-degree views of the mountain, verdant valley, and Canyons of the Ancients. Plenty of space to spread out. So so so many stars. Breathtaking views and solitude from the giant rock face behind the camp (great place for morning coffee). Super cute, spic-and-span chuck wagons. Horseback trail riding into the Canyons. Impressive communal camp kitchen outfitted with cook stoves, cast iron skillets, sink, running water, lights, etc. Covered picnic tables and communal fire rings. Perfection. Oh, and an actual shower house with a toilet, hot showers, and a sink/vanity.
We stayed three nights but could have stayed six had we known... Heaven + convenience. Only a half-mile from the trailhead into Sand Canyon and its 7+ ancient alcove ruins. Must visit. So grateful to have found this place and that they are sharing it!!
