Quiet, open space on vintage ranch.
Linda was a kind and helpful host! There was plenty of space to set up camp on the ranch and it was an easy drive from Durango. Our favorite part was getting to pet and feed the donkeys and horses. We enjoyed our conversation with Linda where we learned a lot about them too. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Perfect for RV
Overall very quiet and secluded. Not meant for tent camping as there are rivets and ankle buster gopher holes to get around and our stakes wouldn’t hold in the ground. Would have loved a table - realized we had no way to cook food safely and spent most of our time in town. Great star gazing and super chilly mornings. Lots of gates to get in and out of. Linda was sweet and kind.

Quiet, open space on vintage ranch.
The location of this site is picturesque and remote, yet close to Durango (and drive-through coffee at Durango Joe's!) Linda is a prompt and enthusiastic communicator. She and Jeff were very friendly and helpful, and provided a variety of great recommendations for things to do in the area. Be aware there are some very voracious mosquitoes (I stayed in July). They're out in full force at dusk, but they nibbled on me in the morning, too. Be sure to bring repellent! The donkeys and horses roam in the area when campers aren't there (and they've left plenty of evidence behind). Linda was very careful to cordon them off in a separate pasture after I arrived because donkeys can mistake dogs for coyote and become aggressive. There are a few gates to open & close on the way in and out. The composting bucket toilet was a nice surprise-- it's in a little pop-up tent for privacy with plenty of toilet paper. There's not much shade at the site, but that allows for views of amazing scenery and a clear night sky.

Linda was a very communicative and welcoming host. She had a lot of great recommendations and restaurants for the area. Her spot is in the perfect location to be able to get into Durango quickly, but still enjoy the quiet and stars at night. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in town.

Great Stay
Great spot to rest for a few days. Linda was very accommodating for my last minute stay. She has such a kind and welcoming demeanour. She also offered up great recommendations for Durango and the local area. Also, the animals are so amazing and friendly. Definitely one of the best things about staying here is being greeted by donkeys, horses and a dog! So cute.
