MSB Legacy Retreat

Jerry has a great set up and communication was thorough. We happened to be the only campers there so it was extra quiet and tranquil. It was a great spot with our dogs and Jerry has everything you could need on site. We would definitely stay again. You can’t go wrong with this spot.

We loved this Hipcamp so much the first time that we knew we had to come back — and it was just as wonderful the second time around! The host was once again incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable from start to finish. The RV site is still one of the most convenient we’ve stayed at, with plenty of space and everything set up perfectly for a comfortable stay. Having firewood easily available made evenings around the campfire effortless and so enjoyable. Most importantly, our kids had just as much fun as before — running around, exploring, and enjoying the freedom to play in such a safe, open space. It really is the perfect family-friendly spot to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories. We’re so glad we chose to return and will definitely be looking forward to future visits!

This is the third time we've stayed with Jerry and Connie. They are the best hosts! They think of everything. The space is quiet, private and has everything you need. It's just a little ways north of Mancos and easy to get to Durango or Cortez. We will definitely be back again.

Mountain View, Central Location

Jerry offers a gorgeous hilltop site with room for two rigs if you are camping with family or friends, or you can have both sites to yourself! He has a set up to drip gray water out to the plants away from the site and a sewer hook up available that can be accessed on the way in and out. There is also a full hook-up site closer to his private residence. That site is tucked into some trees behind a privacy fence. It looked lovely, but does not have the mountain view surrounding you like the hilltop site. The land is located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of space between you and the neighbors. It offers far superior spacing, noise, and privacy than typical campgrounds and RV resorts. It is a great base camp to explore Mesa Verde National Park, Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, and Chimney Rock National Monument. I also recommend exploring the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway loop which includes the infamous stretch called the Million Dollar Highway. In addition to Mancos, you can explore Cortez, Dolores, Telluride, Ridgway, Ouray, Silverton, and Durango along the scenic byway. Jerry is a conscientious and welcoming host.

Amazing!

This is our 2nd stay at MSB Legacy Retreat and we absolutely loved it. Jerry and Connie are very gracious hosts. Their communications were right on and they make you feel so welcome. Connie even gave us a jar of her homemade jam. 😁. The sites are large and hookups worked perfectly. But, the best part were the 360 degree views. They are amazing. We 100% recommend this HipCamp and will stay there again when in the area.

Another Great Stay at MSB Legacy!

This was our second time staying at MSB Legacy Retreat, and once again, it did not disappoint. It’s the perfect stopover location on our route from Texas to Utah—easy to access, peaceful, and incredibly clean. The property is quiet with stunning views, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the space. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the picnic table, fire pit, and a tub full of maps and local tourism info. The hosts are very responsive and genuinely friendly, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone passing through or looking for a serene place to unwind!

We love stopping here on our way through from AZ to the Rockies! We have full hookups, the area is clean and private, and close to great bike trails. Jerry and his wife our super friendly and welcome us like old friends. There were even fresh flowers picked for us to enjoy! I highly recommend this place!

Would Love to Stay Here Again

We certainly recommend MSB Legacy Retreat. The sites are very well prepared, pleasant to be in, very clean, secure, and easy to access. When staying here, it becomes obvious that a lot of care and thought has gone into these accommodations. It's a lovely setting. Communication was A++. We enjoyed our brief stay and knew that our enjoyment of the site was important to them. We will be looking for an opening again in the future whenever we are staying in the area.

We stayed one night during our travels but would definitely return! Jerry provided great information and even let us stay a bit over our time so we could do a Mesa Verde tour. The sunset and sunrise were gorgeous and the dogs loved running around. Thank you again for the hospitality!!

We had such a memorable stay at this Hipcamp site! From the moment we booked, the host went above and beyond to be accommodating and make sure everything was just right for our group. Communication was fast, clear, and genuinely welcoming — you could tell they really cared about our experience. The RV site was incredibly convenient, with plenty of space and easy access that made setup a breeze. It was well thought-out and made our stay super comfortable. Firewood was also readily available, which made it so easy to enjoy evenings around the campfire without any hassle. The property was perfect for families — our kids had a blast exploring the open space, playing freely, and just being in nature. It felt safe, peaceful, and exactly the kind of break we were hoping for. RV Camping with animals

The hosts, the Bergstrand’s, were very easy to work with, informative, and hospitable! They really made this feel like home away from home. It really felt like we’ve always known them. They provided wood for purchase, some generous entertainment options, and full hookups for our RV. The site was very easy to find, very clean, secluded, and provided a beautiful view of the mountains. Our daughter’s small dog was welcomed. Our whole family was super pleased with the site and experience! We plan to go back!

Wonderful - large and quiet

The large site has a picnic area, it can handle large RVs with slide outs. No neighbors. Wonderful hosts, dark skies at night, and notable galleries in nearby Mancos. Cortez is also very close.

This is a great place! We've stayed here twice now and it's an excellent choice to enjoy all the things that this part of Colorado has to offer. The hosts have done a wonderful job of constructing a very private, quiet retreat with all the necessities. They go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. We even got rhubarb pie! Thanks for a great stay. We'll see you later this summer.

Connie and Jerry are the kindest hosts! They made us feel very welcome on their beautiful property and even greeted us with homemade jam and tons of information about the surrounding location. We had the group site and it was just right for our 2 fifth wheels. The views on their property are excellent. It was private and made for a pretty relaxing week. Will be back next time I’m in the area!

Absolutely Perfect

As the title suggests, everything was perfect during our two night stay. Jerry was a fantastic host who gave great directions and truly made sure we had a great stay. Electric and water hookups were in working order and the dump station was easy to find and immaculate. Easy 15 min drive to Mesa Verse. The sunrise and sunset views can’t be beat. In 15 years of RV’ing, this was one of our best stays. 100% recommend and hope to visit again!

Simply the best HipCamp Site in CO!

We absolutely loved the the MSB Legacy Retreat! Jerry, Connie and lil Lucy were the most wonderful hosts. They gave us great recommendations (saw Mesa Verde, Cortez, Mancos and Telluride) and were so personable and kind to us. We got a tour of their property, with beautiful views all around, and even got to see their newest project and their beautiful home they built themselves. Simply gorgeous! We would stay with them again in a heartbeat. We had a quiet spot in the trees which was very private with a fence, little campfire area and electric, water and sewer. They were so gracious to us and our lil pup and we hope that our paths cross again. Thank you all for a wonderful stay :) (Thanks again Connie for the delish tomatoes!!)

Super séjour au Colorado (Mancos)

La vue sur les montagnes et la prairie est magnifique. L'endroit est facile à trouver et pas loin de Mesa Verde. Nous y sommes resté 3 nuits. Merci encore à Jerry et Connie. Et un merci spécial à Connie pour les délicieuses tomates. Faut essayer la cidrerie dans le village et les délicieux burgers du "food truck" !

Great communication and directions to the property. The site was level with water and power available. The location was just a couple of minutes from Mancos, CO, and we took advantage of Fenceline Cider (I recommend the Pollinator) and the Moondog Cafe (the Mesa Verde Benedict was fantastic). We chose MSB Legacy Retreat because it's a stones throw from San Juan National Forest and there are multiple access points within a couple of miles of the property, this made for a very enjoyable day in the mountains!

Very Nice place to camp!

Jerry and Connie are the best!!! We really enjoyed our stay at MSB Legacy! They were just very accommodating folks that were genuinely concerned about our comfort while visiting their home. Beautiful Mountain and rural views while still close to the parks that we wanted to see (Mesa Verde, and Canyonlands). We also (at their recommendation) took the train from Durango to Silverton. Beautiful trip along the Animas River up to Silverton for lunch. I would definitely recommend MSB Legacy if you are visiting the area!!!
