Peace and quiet served daily-no other tents in sight! This is off the beaten path next to the Fox River with no other campers nearby. You can bring your own RV/tent/campervan or choose to stay in the tipi. There are two kayaks with life jackets labeled for guests to use during their stay. As you drive on the dirt road to the site there are farm fields to your left and the Fox River is straight ahead. If needing to to get groceries, Walmart and Aldi's are about 5 minutes away. Local towns are Mukwonago and East Troy. Chicago is 90 minutes away and Milwaukee and Lake Geneva are 30. Fork in the Road and David Alan Alan's Smokehouse & Saloon are popular restaurants in Mukwonago. Or you can try mead in East Troy at the Hive! The Alpine Valley Music Theatre is 15 minutes away. Location is near I-43 & Highway 83. Summerfest is the world's largest musical festival and it is located 30 minutes away. You can Venmo or use cash while you are at the campsite to purchase wood for one dollar a piece. There is also charcoal available with the site along with a weber grill. Lastly, the river might give you muddy toes-consider it a souvenir! But feel free to bring some water to rinse off and keep things fresh.Enjoy a private site next to the Fox River with easy access via a driveway directly to the site. Two Pelican kayaks come with the site. The site features a picnic table, fire ring, porta potty, large tipi and waste bins. You may move the fire ring if needed and you can stay in the tipi if you want. Alpine Valley Music Theatre is a short 17-minute drive, Walmart is 5 minutes away for last-minute items, and Kettle Moraine State Forest offers hiking just 15 minutes away. A Weber grill is available with charcoal and rainwater will be available, subject to weather.

Lovely place. The kids really enjoyed fishing amd exploring with the canoes and kayaks. The teepee was a hit and helped take the edge off the night’s cold. Saw many different types of birds. You can experience nature while still being conveniently close to town.

Relaxing River Camping

This was a great get away for some camping. There were very heavy winds when we stayed so I put the tent under the Teepee to help. It worked out perfectly. I Waldo enjoyed kayaking on the Fix River and I was able to catch a couple catfish.

This campsite was just right for a dreamy weekend getaway from the city. It was quiet, well kept, and private, and we loved the tipi and kayaks. The host communicated well through the app, and I would definitely return to this spot.

Totally worth it!

Simply Maple is super cute! My husband and I enjoyed our private spot, including the tipi and plenty of boats to choose from to get on the water. On the water we saw lots of animals/birds. A great little escape. We came from within county so we had brought our own wood, but they had more available on-site for a reasonable price. Nicole & Dan we hospitable, giving us our space. Would definitely recommend for 2 or for a group! She also included a place to charge phones, a picnic table, and a hammock. All great bonuses we didn't expect, but made us have to take less out of the car! Also, you are close by to a lot of local amenities, so if camp food isn't your thing, you can go out or pick up items you forgot!

Loved our stay!

We loved how close our site was to the Fox River. We were able to use a provided canoe to explore the beautiful river channel. Quiet, clean and tons of amenities including campfire wood available for an additional fee.

Bald Eagles

Great camping site. The teepee is very comfortable and a great landmark for when you're on river. We even managed to see some bald eagle's while there. Will definitely be going back.

Nice and relaxing!

We really enjoyed camping at Simply Maple farms! It was very private. Enjoyed having a nice fire by the river and watching all the wildlife! Nicole was very responsive to all my texts! Would definitely like to go back in the future!

pretty land next to fox river

gorgeous land with somewhat private. you will hear neighbors strolls by but they all friendly. we stayed for two nights but definitely would stay longer. this is definitely one of my favorite campsite. we will be back pretty soon!

Beautiful views, nice camping spot

We enjoyed our two nights on Nicole's land! It is very scenic, overlooking the Fox River. We opted to set up tent closer to the river for more shade since it was very hot. Fair warning the ground is a bit bumpier/hillier down there, but the space is homey and secluded. Our kids loved the hammock, and we loved that there were a couple of canoes and kayaks right by the river that we could use. Definitely take a trip up and down the Fox River if you are able... it's so pretty!

A but if a drive to the river so smaller cars will struggle. Rough road. Worth it! Breathtaking views and use of watercraft. Loved our weekend. Not many flat spots by River for tent camping. Smaller tent perhaps. Hospitable host

Do not stay here.

HORRIBLE stay. From the trash and alcohol bottles left on the site from the previous guests to the scary incident in the middle of the night at 11pm. 2 men come driving up to our tent, come almost to a complete stop yelling, and then laughing loudly and finally pulling off. Then their huge off leash dog comes running to / passed our tent growling and barking. We packed up in the middle of the night and left. It was very scary and the host was not accommodating at all and has ignored my messages. Do not stay here, it’s beautiful but not private and extremely uncomfortable for that to happen.

Beautiful & Private!

Nicole’s property was beautiful! I opted for tenting by the river under the trees for some potential rain coverage. The picnic table, bathroom, and recycling/trash areas were extremely helpful to have onsite. Thanks Nicole and family, I really enjoyed my stay ❤️

The host was great!! Very peaceful.. the fox river is beautiful.. love the turtles frogs otters deer birds an the shells in the river most definitely will be going back.. was a little piece of heaven for the night if I’d had a cat sitter I’d of stayed a 2nd night

We loved it here! It was our first time taking our kids camping, and it was an experience to remember. This site was in a nice, secluded location with some old growth forest on one side, and the Fox River on the other. There are a few places to set-up camp, be we posted up next to the woods to take advantage of the morning shade. The hosts set-up a picnic table, solar lights, and a fire ring, which came in handy! We saw bald eagles, turkeys, Sandhill cranes, a pleated woodpecker, and some other wildlife. We spent a full day canoing up the Fox River and caught (and lost) a nice variety of fish. The kids even swam in the Mukwonago River. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend at Maple Creek Farms! The hosts were super nice, and helpful, and we're so glad they were our first experience with Hipcamp. Thanks Dan, and Nicole! We'll definitely be back!

Great camping area near Milwaukee

We loved staying on Nicole's land. The camping area was all set up for us when we arrived. The picnic table, portapotty, fire ring, and garbage bins were just what we needed. The access to kayaks on the Fox River was wonderful too! Definitely would recommend staying here. It was surprisingly convenient and close to Milwaukee too.
