With a pad site stretching back 45 feet and an entrance width of around 32 feet, RV10 offers ample space and accessibility for your outdoor adventure. Ideal for RV/ Campers up to 35 feet long plus their tow vehicle.
Nestled between the lush forest behind and the tranquil river in front, RV10 provides a unique setting where you can set up a pop-up canopy or a large tent amidst the trees. Enjoy the great outdoors around a welcoming fire pit area, complete with rustic slabwood benches, perfect for evening relaxation and sharing stories under the stars.
Additional conveniences include extra car parking parallel to the road in front of the site and a designated, well-labeled parking space in the cabin village behind. Drive through the cabin village to access this space, and discover an old campsite near the cabin area parking, which is part of RV10. This additional area is ideal for a massive multi-room family tent, offering even more room to spread out and enjoy. A trail lined with tree logs clearly connects this old campsite to RV10, emphasizing its inclusion in your space.
For 2024, RV10 is a boon-docking site without electric or water hook-ups, but quiet generators are welcome. Access to water spigots and electricity for charging devices is conveniently available near the camp office cabin, along with firewood bundles for sale. For full hook-ups, consider RV sites RV1 through RV4. A nearby dump station at Five Rivers Campground in Parsons, only 4 miles away, offers an honor system fee of $5.00.
RV Dump station: Coming Soon in 2025.... --In the town of Parsons is Five Rivers Campground just a few miles away.... and they have an honor system, self-pay $5 dump station that you can use on your way out. --Use a search engine to locate Five Rivers Campground in Parsons, drive through main gate, and on the RHS is the self-serve dump station and money box to place your $5. --Please drive slowly in the campground.
RV10 is one of six new primitive RV sites (RV5 - RV10), offering spacious and beautiful surroundings with plenty of trees and large areas extending into the woods. This site accommodates back-in parking for up to a 30-foot RV and vehicle parking, with overflow parking available nearby. Enjoy the shade and beauty of the forested area, with the river just across the narrow dead-end road.
Facilities include a steel fire ring and slabwood benches, clean porta-potties nearby, and easy access to the river beach area and other designated river access points, including islands, rapids, and swim holes. The town of Parsons, with a range of services, shopping, and dining options, is just 4 miles away.
Check-in is available from 12 noon onwards, with check-out by 12 noon the following day. While the camp is open year-round, with electricity available near the office cabin and at electric-ready RV sites RV1 - RV4, please note that water systems are shut down from November 1st to April 15th annually for winterization.
Explore numerous river access points, both upstream and downstream, by a short walk, bike ride, or drive. Enjoy the scenic biking road that ends 2.5 miles past the camp, offering breathtaking riverfront views, and visit the Hendricks swinging bridge just half a mile towards town for additional swimming and tubing spots.
