Ridge line survival adventure
Expect to spend 30-45 minutes drive time without cell service to get to the site. Written directions were helpful, but a few more actual road side signs put up at intersections would go a long way to navigate the winding forest roads easier. Make sure your vehicle has some ground clearance and 4wd if the weather has been wet. Remember you’re at the top of a ridge line, it is going to be much colder and treed wind breaks are minimal. Use vehicles if necessary. The views are breathtaking and we appreciated our single night reservation as it was a fun challenge, but for the cost (not as group, or in a yurt) I would rather save some $ and camp closer to day time activities.
Provided: fire rings w/ cooking grate, pump spring water, restrooms with flush toilet, picnic tables, spectacular 180 view, friendly hosts, multiple tent spots.
