Located just 16 miles above the Bavarian town of Leavenworth this unique getaway is on 673 private acres across a mountain top ridge in the Entiat Mountains of central Washington State. White Aspen Resorts sits at 5,600ft elevation with breathtaking views in every direction. Operating off grid, yet still providing luxuries of clean flushing bathrooms, firepits, fresh potable mountain spring water, rustic sites to pitch your own tents, and luxury sites to be pampered with furnished bell tents and breakfast served each morning. Surrounded by thousands of miles of public forest service lands there is so much to explore. The Madd River, Entiat River, Wenacthee River, and Columbia River are all within short drives of the property. Access to the Enchantment hiking trails in Leavenworth; as well as shopping and dining experiences. A bit of history: Somewhere between 15,000-16,000 years ago the State of Washington was covered in ice glaciers. The lower levels of elevation began melting at a rapid rate which swept much of the rare minerals and plant life that once filled the mountains of Washington right out to the Puget Sound; which then carried and dispersed into the oceans and more southern regions of the earth. However, the high elevation of our ridge allowed the tops of these glaciers to melt very slowly, soaking these special minerals and plants into our soil; leaving us with literally the most rare mineral combinations found in the world and plants that can only be found on the premises of White Aspen Resort.

WOW! My husband, pup, and I want to go back to Washington just to stay at this hipcamp again! The hosts keep the camping area and the bathroom so clean and provide the cutest details along with fresh water, fire pit and wood, etc. We loved feeling like we were on top of the world with the best views EVER. I honestly can't recommend this listing enough. Worth every penny!

Amazing view!
Pros: - One of the most amazing views I have ever seen at a campsite. - Hosts were friendly, and helpful. (Suggested a tent spot sheltered from the winds) - Absolutely the most posh outhouse I've ever seen! Cons: - Access road was a little sketchy on a motorcycle loaded with luggage & a passenger. But we made it! - Wind was relentless. Would I go back? Absolutely, but next time I won't ride up with a passenger. A little bit of rain would have made the road pretty slick and downright treacherous for a heavily loaded motorcycle.

Ridge line survival adventure
Expect to spend 30-45 minutes drive time without cell service to get to the site. Written directions were helpful, but a few more actual road side signs put up at intersections would go a long way to navigate the winding forest roads easier. Make sure your vehicle has some ground clearance and 4wd if the weather has been wet. Remember you’re at the top of a ridge line, it is going to be much colder and treed wind breaks are minimal. Use vehicles if necessary. The views are breathtaking and we appreciated our single night reservation as it was a fun challenge, but for the cost (not as group, or in a yurt) I would rather save some $ and camp closer to day time activities. Provided: fire rings w/ cooking grate, pump spring water, restrooms with flush toilet, picnic tables, spectacular 180 view, friendly hosts, multiple tent spots.

Glacier Peak Rustic Site
This was a great site! The provided directions were very helpful on the roads up and the views were well worth it! While there were some bumps on the forest road up, our Camry made it up without any issues. Once we got to our site, we found that we had plenty of space in our area and were spread out well from other campers enough where we felt privacy. The clean restrooms and water faucets were also very welcome amenities. Our weather conditions were very favorable, which made the sunset campfire and stars that much better. Overall, we highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique campsite in the Leavenworth area!
