David was a great host and the campsite is awesome. He met us to guide us for the last portion of the directions when we got there and offered us the option to move sites if there was a flood warning. He was also very responsive. It was a great experience overall.

Site 4 - Camp Cedar Creek

This campsite was just what we’re looking for! It was a beautiful stay amidst the mountains and right on the creek, which helped cool us off after setting up camp. David though was super helpful in helping us with our stuff and also telling us about the local spots. Would definitely recommend this hidden jem! 🌲🏕️🌲 (only thing i’d be weary of is the shower)

Camp Cedar Creek is the best and we are repeat campers! Large sites, privacy, beautiful location, beautiful and clean creek. Site 3 has a great setup right along the creek. It’s closest to the toilet which is handy. I highly recommend all the sites at camp cedar creek. Responsive and very friendly host!

We are repeat campers at Camp Cedar Creek! This is definitely one of my favorite camping spots - big sites, beautiful, good sized creek, secluded, responsive host. It really doesn’t get better. We rented 4 of the sites this time and had a large group (up to about 38 people on one day) and it worked great. People were constantly saying “we see why you love this place”. David is a great host, very friendly, very responsive, and always willing to help out. I highly recommend Camp Cedar Creek!

We had a wonderful stay at camp site #5. It has a beautiful view of the river and plenty of space for a large group(6 adults and 2 dogs). We were able to tube down the river in the afternoon sun and take a cold plunge in the morning light. Several farmers markets within a quick drive, but it’s a great campsite to never leave.

Site 4 - Camp Cedar Creek

Amazing weekend! We loved camping at site #3. It was right in the creek, big site that could fit multiple tents. David was very nice and easy to communicate with. He met us when we got there and gave us the option of driving directly to our site or he could haul everything for us if he didn’t think our car could make it over the creek. AWD or 4x4 recommend but David is so nice he offered to haul in his truck. We drove to is with our suv no problem. Even the drive to his campsite is beautiful! You really feel like you’re in the mountains. We were lucky enough to see and hear all sorts of wild life! Our kids had a blast exploring the creek and fishing in it. Creek never gets deep enough to past the kids hips. So we felt very comfortable. The site was well equipped with a nice big table to place or prep meals. There was also a line hung from tree to tree that we used to hang wet clothes, gear and even attached our dogs leash to it at time. The trees provided lots of shade. We went to explore the other campsites and they are all beautiful as well. The port-john was sooo clean and a very short walk from our site. There is an outdoor shower but we just didn’t use it. All sites are spread apart real nice where we didn’t hear or see our neighbors. We can’t wait to be back! 100% recommend! Such a hidden gem and super easy drive from DC/northern VA!

David’s land is beautiful and picturesque for camping. We originally had site 4 booked, but site 1 also opened up, and David showed us both sites and let us choose. We went with site 1 because it was right next to the creek (site 4 still has a nice overlook of the creek and is more separated from the other sites, if that’s your preference). All of the sights seem to have plenty of privacy. David was super nice and helpful. He even helped us unload and load our gear in his truck since site 1 was difficult to drive up to in a vehicle with low clearance. And again, site 1 rules. It’s fantastic. We can’t wait to come back.

Great time at site 2 this weekend and are already talking about are next trip to try some of the other sites. Great host who was very helpful. Very peaceful and the creek is beautiful to look at all day and hear all night. Great place to spend a weekend or week at with family and friends

The creek is beautiful and relaxing. We saw a red tailed hawk and pair of ducks. The entire camp is filled with serenity. The fire circle was well built, sadly we didn’t get a chance to enjoy it for the rain we had. Maybe next time.

We had such a wonderful time at camp Ceder Creek and cannot wait to come back! David made sure we had everything thing we needed (cots, firewood, etc.) and was very responsive, especially via text as I barely had enough service for a call (huge bonus for our weekend). The porta potty was a quick walk from Site 1 which was perfect - it was the cleanest porta potty I've ever encountered. Each camp site is quite secluded so we knew other campers were there but only saw them once at the porta potty and once fishing in the creek. It was so peaceful and lovely!

We really enjoyed camp cedar creek! David was very attentive. He showed us to our site which required driving over a small stream crossing which was fun! A higher clearance car with awd/ or 4x4 is needed to reach site 3 and 1 unless you want to park and walk your gear a short distance to the site. We were the only people out there so we looked at the other sites and chose to stay at site 1. Site 1 and 2 are the best sites imo and most secluded feeling. Both are very large and can hold multiple tents. The clear flowing creek was beautiful and the dog loved playing in it. The portapotty was super clean and being able to buy wood from David was convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at Site 3! The site felt remote and huge, the creek bubbled nearby, and David was a very kind host. We’ll be back! The directions were easy to follow, the sites are very generously spaced, and the firewood was ready to roll. It was pastoral and idyllic!

This was our second time camping here. The site was clean and well taken care of. the Porta Potty is exceptional...yes I felt weird typing that but it truly is the best Porta Potty I've ever used. David is a fantastic host and is always willing to help make our trip as pleasant as possible. Will definitely visit again!

Sleeping under the Stars

We approached the area and David met us outside his property to escort us in. We approached the site and immediately fell in love w its charm and serenity. The creek was so close it put us to sleep each night. There was a fire pit and grate that we cooked our food on. David checked in on us the next day to see if we needed anything. Two nights here was all we needed to recharge our batteries. Definitely going to make this an annual trip for my wife and I. Thanks again David for being a great host.

This weekend was the 2nd time our group has camped at Dave’s site. This time Hurricane Milton’s pass through VA was just a few days before we arrived. Dave & Josh did a great job of cleaning up the sites, and Cedar Creek was looking nice!

We loved camping at Camp Cedar Creek! Our camp site was lovely and private. We enjoyed the sounds of the creek and the birds, and couldn’t even hear people from other campsites during our 2-night stay. The site was equipped with a picnic table and fire pit, as well as a grate if you needed it (we had our own), and had a good flat area for our tent. We were able to drive our small SUV to Site 1, though a car with lower clearance could have difficulty driving right up to this site. (For any cars that can’t make it directly to the site, there’s a general area you can park that would just be a short walk to the site.) David reached out to us about this when we booked, offering to transport our gear to the site if we needed to park in the general area. David was a very friendly, communicative and attentive host! He checked in to make sure we took the best route to the site and met us at the camp entrance to make sure we got to our site okay. He also provided plenty of firewood for a small fee. We had a nice weekend and would definitely go back!

This hipcamp was a wonderful experience. We stayed at site 5, with more family at site 4. It wasn’t exactly next door, but it was a beautiful walk up the hill to the other site. The bathroom was a bit of a hike, but no complaints here. The creek is incredible. We will definitely be back.

These sites are a gem! We had a wonderful time camping here for a long weekend. We stayed at Campsite 3 which was very spacious and right next to the creek and had everything we needed. The sites are spaced apart so you feel remote/private. It was lovely to hear the water each morning and we found a great little fishing spot just up the trail. David was very communicative and helpful, and met us right as we arrived. We loved the walking trail and simply exploring/playing in the creek. We will certainly be back!
