Past trip
in 101 Acre Woods, British ColumbiaLincoln and Blake went above and beyond to ensure I was warm and comfortable as some colder weather was rolling in. I booked last minute and planned to bundle up and either tent camp or car camp at the site but they messaged me that there were couches in the hall and I could sleep in there if I would like. I figured why not because it has electricity and I happened to have my heated blanket with me, which would have kept me much warmer through the night. Lincoln and Blake got home later that night and they immediately came by the hall to check on me, start a fire in the wood burning stove and turn on a movie on the projector! I canât thank them enough for their superior hospitality. The landscape and their many friendly dogs that greet you upon arrival are a serious plus as well!
Past trip
in Bear Den Cabins & Camp, South DakotaWow. First off, Tammy is a wonderful human and the world needs more people like her. Her hospitality is like no other and you can tell she is just a genuinely caring person. Also, the attention to detail they put into building this hipcamp is incredible. Itâs like they thought of everything and itâs all so well crafted! Everything was kept incredibly clean as well (which can be hard for a campground). I felt almost spoiled with how nice everything was and offered at a very reasonable price. Itâs obvious why so many people have loved this place. I plan to be back again when I can stay longer!
Past trip
in Bright Star Campground, ColoradoThe views were very nice and it was extra nice having access to a fully functional kitchen with pretty much anything you could need for cooking. The bathroom and shower facilities were very clean, always a plus!
The tipi experience was nice to do at least once and the air mattress was more comfortable than I thought itâd be. Just make sure to layer up on blankets because the tipi actually does a pretty good job of sealing in the cool air and it felt a little colder inside than outside for most of the night.

The view can not be beat! I just relaxed all afternoon reading a book, then watched the sun go down, then slept under the stars on an incredibly quiet night.
It was very easy to find and I loved that you had options of where to set up camp. Also appreciated the luxury and convenience of camping and still having access to a toilet nearby!
Thereâs also a very friendly pup who lives there and wandered over to request some pets and I very happily obliged. Such a lovely place.
Past trip
in Arcadia Valley Outdoors Land, MissouriA perfect camping spot. Lots of shade from the hot sun, walking distance to a
small lake and very short drives to all that Arcadia Valley has to offer. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful and Sydney put together a fantastic magazine showing her passion about the area- including history and things to do/see!
Past trip
in Painted Desert Ranger Cabin, ArizonaJamie H.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
It is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. A perfect quiet place for a getaway, and plenty of opportunity to explore. Just please consider two things before booking- first, can you handle sleeping in a hot room at night in the desert with no AC (the fan is only able to be operated during daylight hours). I didnât feel comfortable leaving the garage door open for air while sleeping because I was alone and well, animals. I used ice from the freezer to cool myself off throughout the night. Second, do you really have a vehicle capable of handling rough terrain? The road is VERY rough, especially the last little bit before you reach the cabin due to the monsoon season. The host did warn me, which was very courteous, but I was indeed a bit timid going over this particular spot, even with my Jeep- and there was no other way around it. Be prepared to walk the last two minutes or so if you do not want to risk it. If those two things are not an issue for you, I see no reason you should not stay. You will thoroughly enjoy all the wide open space. đ
