Meili Mountain is a wonderfully situated property right next to the iconic Crabtree falls. I camped at the sight with the shed and had a great one-night stay surrounded by the changing autumn foliage. Would love to come back again.

I recently had a one night stay at the Fishpond Collective property and have only good things to say about Ben and the peaceful slice of land along the banks of the Middle James River.
Ben and Harold were wonderful and welcoming hosts who not only provided some pleasant company, but offered me guidance related to a paddle I completed from Wyngina to the site. Ben even offered to drive me up river so that I didn't have to take my car.
The site was well kept and plenty shady during the heat of the day. You are less than 50 ft from the river and are able to wade/swim directly from camp.
Given that the site is new, Ben is still working on installing a more robust staircase leading down to the water, however if you are relatively nimble you should have no issues making it down.
I highly recommend this site for a pleasant camping evening. Make sure to ask Ben about the historic property as well!
River Front Get Away! A hidden gem
in River Front Get Away! A hidden gem, VirginiaA great coupleâs getaway
Mickey was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The camp was well maintained and the volleyball court was a huge plus. Although it rained the night we stayed and couldnât use the fire pit, it was a great feature. 10/10 recommend for a couple or a large group.
Rockfish River Landing

Cameron has a wonderful little slice of heaven along the banks of the Rockfish River. We visited for a day of paddling in the perfect April weather and did not leave disappointed.
The directions could not have been more clear, and Cameron offered us many great tips for our stay. Awesome spot for a group of friends to enjoy a float and good company.

Margaret and Rick have an absolutely wonderful property located right within the scenic hills of Afton, Virginia.
We were extremely happy with the isolated campsite complete with a firepit and clean outhouse a short distance from the site. Margaret and Rick were very gracious hosts who came to greet us upon our arrival.
Will certainly be coming back!
