Past trip
in The 1772 Lefevre Homestead, New YorkThis spot is so beautiful! There are apples falling off of old trees and a view of the valley that is just breath taking. Word to the wise though. It is SUNNY!!! There is almost no shade from about 11 am until sundown.
Past trip
in Fawn View Farm, Pond & Fields, MarylandMary was incredibly sweet and welcoming and the site is lovely. We had a great time watching the fountain, listening to corn stalks rustle, and running up and down the hills. There is a house on the top of the hill overlooking part of the campsite but we were far enough away to feel private and Mary was familiar with the family living there, which helped us feel comfortable. The only downside for us were the ubiquitous Trump signs all through the broader region. As a family that does not fit in with the MAGA vision, we were uneasy driving in and out of town. This has no bearing on Mary or the site but is a heads up about the larger area that itâs in.

Serenity Farm Camping
in Serenity Farm, North CarolinaTruly serene
Dawn P.recommends this listing.
(Dispersed site)
This place is one of our top two favorite Hipcamp spots of all time (and weâve stayed at a lot!!) We slept nestled between five gorgeous pine trees and felt so safe, tranquil and secure. Sharon is such a welcoming host and exudes positive energy. She brought wood and a private fire pit and made sure the other campers knew we wanted to stay distanced and to ourselves. We were nervous about staying in a shared camping space but had no reason to be. The other campsite is at the opposite side of the property and you really feel like you have your own serene little world. I highly recommend this spot!

The lake is just beautiful BUT if you are traveling and staying in a tent, this may not be the place for you. The neighbors can see you visibly (we were entertainment for the local kids) and there are fire ant hills on some of the only flat places suitable for sleeping. Joanne had a family emergency and wasnât able to clean up from the previous camper so the trash can was overflowing and there was trash and broken glass around the campfire. This was of course out of her control, and is likely not typical of the site.
We ended up deciding to leave since we didnât feel totally secure. Joanne was kind and refunded us, but it was a long drive home (after a long day of driving), which we hadnât planned for.
Past trip
in Button Farm, MarylandThis place is incredible. The Big Field was gorgeous and very private and Tony and Steven were so friendly and welcoming. A perfect hideaway! The geese and hogs at the farm were an added bonus. Such a treat to see happy and boisterous farm animals as we were coming and going. We will be back.
Past trip
in The Mountain Top @Wright's Farm, New YorkApples galore!

A great spot in New Paltz. Thereâs a little road noise from the main road and you will have neighboring campers across the dirt road, but the site feels very tucked away and private next to the apple trees. Gorgeous views of the meadow.
Dawn hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
