This RV/Camper spot is on a city-sized lot (less than ⅕ acre) next to my house, with a space measuring 75 feet long and featuring a 12-foot entrance. While the angled entrance from the street through the front gate may pose a slight challenge for larger rigs or trailers, there is ample room to tandem park a towed vehicle in front of your RV. A 30-amp electric hookup is conveniently located on the side of the house, with water access available from the rear. While sewer hookups are not available, we are happy to discuss nearby options for dumping gray and black tanks. During your stay, we'll be residing in the house but will respect your privacy while remaining available to assist with anything you might need. There’s even a "catio" in the backyard, where you might catch a glimpse of our shy and elusive cats! We’re pet-friendly and welcome your furry companions but kindly ask that you clean up after them. This spot offers a secure and welcoming space for your RV adventures, just minutes away from Austin's vibrant downtown scene.

This RV spot offers the perfect blend of proximity to Austin's vibrant attractions, nature and the comfort of a cozy neighborhood setting. Situated on the side of my house, the site is 95' long. 38' of which is along my house. The width between the house and fence is 18 feet. This should fit any RV with 2 slides and awning being open. The entire lot is fenced in, granting guests(and pets) full use of the pool and yard. Enjoy privacy with no neighbors in the back and an 8' side fence where your RV will be parked. The lot is a city sized lot, less than 1/5 acre, but HipCamp won't let me put in less than 1 acre. Pictures show my white/red retro RV as well as other RV's and how they have fit with and without my RV. Backing in is best for trailers - motorhomes/vans can go forward or back in. You may find maneuvering backwards a bit challenging due to the angle from the street through the front gate and my house overhang. It can be done...it just may take a village! :o) There's plenty of room to tandem park a towed vehicle in front of your RV(fenced in too!), and both 50amp and 30amp electric hookups are located on the back side of my house near the water hookup. (NOTE: Hipcamp will not let me notate in the fields that I have a 50amp AND a 30amp, thus I have 2 sites listed. I have had 2 RV guests stay at same time, but will not book that unless I get the ok from all parties.) LIVE sewer hookup isn't available because my clean-out is in the front of the house. Dumping can be done on the way in/out or with a portable tank.. Nestled in a charming, gentrifying neighborhood, expect the pleasant hum of city sounds (not overly loud) and glimpses of starlit skies. During your stay, I'll be residing in the house with my sociable dog, Toby. We'll be respectful of your privacy but available for any assistance you may need. 2 acres in the hill country in a small wooded neighborhood. I live in the brick house, have several garages and sheds, etc on property as well. There are also a few honey bee colonies scattered on the property. Open grassy areas as well as tree covered areas. This is a quiet neighborhood and wildlife is abundant. You may hear coyotes and a great horned owl at night. To the left of the main brick house there is a restroom with a toilet and a small kitchenette with sink and microwave, open 24hours. (Go up the steps to the door with the restroom sign) You will also find a self-serve "store shelf" with our honey and a few other goodies, with Venmo instructions. There are 2 LONG RV spots up to 45 feet in length BUT, they are back in only and the turn around area is tight if you have a BIG RIG. The 2 camper van sites are (Site 1) 32' and (Site 2) 22'. Ask me if you want to know more! It helps me to approve you more quickly if I know how tall/long your RV is. Especially if you are longer than 24 feet. You can text me info. I have a place you can drive up to and get a water fill if you need extra water and you can release GREY WATER as needed to water the lawn. :)

Walk downtown and have pizza at Community Pizza or get some food for the grill at HEB. First Saturday of the month Market Days goes on in the daytime. Five minutes from Historic Downtown Wimberley, Texas; Blue Hole; Jacob's Well; Cypress Creek. Walking distance to Market Days or just take a soak in the tub. Secluded, but convenient with wifi. I am a motorcycle enthusiast and traveler whenever possible. My idea is to cater to riders of all kinds, If you have a need and I can help, I will. 19 miles away situated along a one-mile stretch of the spring-fed Blanco River, the small but mighty Blanco State Park is very family-friendly, offering the spectacular Falls Dam, nature trails, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and deep water for a good, refreshing swim. The stocked river is teeming with largemouth and Guadalupe bass, catfish, sunfish, and rainbow trout, and can be an excellent place for beginning anglers (you can even borrow equipment for free). Pedernales Falls State Park is only 35 miles away. Swimming at holes, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and birding are a few of the quintessential outdoor Texan activities visitors enjoy most at Pedernales State Park, located near the area of Texas Hill Country where former President Lyndon B. Johnson grew up. Next to the famed Pedernales River, the park is an hour west of Austin, an hour east of Fredericksburg, and about 20 minutes from downtown Johnson City. Wineries and distilleries are a short drive away in nearby Dripping Springs and Stonewall. Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.

The massive 2015 floods destroyed the structure and since then we have been enjoying camping on it, as we have slowly rebuilt the structure. Once ancient native Indian lands, you can scour for arrowheads, fossils, lava rocks (just found this past weekend on the cliff top) and so much more! I have spent my entire 53 years enjoying this property, and am honored to share the tranquil and peaceful retreat of the outdoor space to those discerning campers of the world! Swimming, tubing, kayaking, SUP'ing, floating, cliff climbing, evening camp fires, and so much more await you at 'Our Heritage and Legacy'. There is very intentionally no cable, no internet, no tv. The goal of time at our place of peace is to reconnect with nature, and remind ourselves what really matters. Learn more about this land: Our Heritage and Legacy is a beautiful shaded lawn under a canopy of old oaks that are a few hundred years old and pecan trees. There is a huge privacy wall of bamboo that gives you a sense of absolute privacy, with a cliff on the opposing side to encase you and your loved ones in this majestic retreat.  There is also a pull up/ hook up area for travel trailers and smaller rv's with a 30 amp plug in and a 50 amp plug in. This is on a gorgeous area on the deepest swimming hole of the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas!  OH, and the entire Blanco River in Wimberley is private! There is no river accessible camping available to the public, anywhere in Wimberley!  Has two beautiful docks on the water: one is perfect for morning coffee, wine sipping, fishing, meditating, yoga, with an adjacent access ladder and steps to get in and out of the water, the other has a large bench, steps to the water for entering with water toys, etc, and a rope swing! This property includes a cliff to climb with ropes installed and amazing views of the Blanco river valley east and west from the top! Water toys are available for rent and use as desired/needed (the reservations for such need to be made in advance/or at time of check in, to have available for your use)  : 3 additional kayaks($40/day), 4 tubes($9/day), a SUP ($45/day), along with two other beanbag type chair floats($15/day)-. You may either rent through Hipcamp, in advance, or on site at check in.  There are electrical hookups for rv's/travel trailers (one 20 amp and one 50 amp)- however, all campers whether tent, RV's/Travel trailers will need to bring in your own water supply for your general use, please. (The property is on a rain water collection/purification system, and has very limited water for the overall property use-to have water trucked in to refill the tank is quite expensive. Campers may NOT use the water supply connected to the house- please respect.)  You will have absolute privacy on these 3 acres, with no neighbors, beyond those folks who live across the river on their large pieces of land! The rate is $220/night for up to 4 campers, unless specified otherwise due to a holiday, and each additional camper beyond, $30/pp. This property is not appropriate for children under 12 because of safety concerns with the cliff, the river and the road bisecting the property that leads to the river.  No children under 12 allowed. I am quite firm about this, and I apologize in advance. What makes it an amazing property, a destination for camping and exploring, also makes it a safety risk for younger children. There is an antique fireplace that is from the origins of the property over a century ago on the large outdoor patio and a huge fire pit on the cliff top.  Bundles of wood are available to purchase at $9 each.  Please DO NOT help yourself to our wood piles, we had to pay someone to cut and stack it all- it is not free. We are happy to stock each firepit area with bundles of wood, per your request. You may also purchase a fire starter stick for $8/each. (I did previously supply those, but they kept walking off at the end of each groups stay- thank you for understanding). There is also a full size refrigerator and freezer available for your use during your stay. The overall vibe is absolute peace, serenity, calm, and relaxation. In the evenings, if you are calm, still and quiet-  foxes, and raccoons shall run all around your area, and the foxes are known to eat from your hands. It is simply the best of nature, being there! The famous Blue Hole and Jacobs Well swimming holes along with their respective hiking trails and parks are minutes away, along with the highly regarded Wimberley Zipline being just 5 minutes down the road, too! DO note, to swim at Jacob's Well, Blue Hole or partake in the Zipline experience requires advance online reservations. (there is a secret to getting into the Jacob's Well if you were not able to get reservations, make sure to ask me about, if interested! it has previously always worked for me!)  To hike the trails in either the Jacobs Well County Park,  Mount Baldy, or The Blue Hole Regional park does not require reservations! Have I mentioned the famous Wimberley Glass Works- just a 15 minute drive away! Bring your lawn games, your corn hole, and relax on the sprawling lush zoysia lawn under the evening twinkling lights strung from the oak trees that are hundreds of years old.  The best restaurants are 4-10 minutes away and many wineries, breweries, and distilleries around are also nearby within the community and surrounding area- Wimberley is a destination tourist town and a culinary journey with fantastic shopping, too!! Fantastic bonus to add to a gorgeous location to enjoy in your little slice of heaven, peace and privacy.  Least we not forget, Market Days! The first Saturday of each month, March through December is the famous Market Days. Vendors from all over the state and US come to sell their wares. Weekend Trip to Bee Friendly Austin: Honey Bee Farm

Tanya’s place was great. Very convenient. Lots of foliage made it feel very cozy and private. We have a 25’ RV that fit spot #2 perfectly. When we identified Tanya’s drive, we were not in a good position to make the necessary wide turn. We made the short loop around and had no problem with the second try. Tanya is very helpful and friendly, has been hives and honey for sale.

Great place to stay! Location is convenient to 290/Austin, but property offers excellent privacy. Kids loved the longhorns and the donkey. Bathroom and shower were well-constructed. We played 2 rounds of disc golf too, which was fun! Overall, highly recommend and will stay again!

Loved our stay on Sherrie and Johnnie’s property! Beautiful spot and a quick drive away from Hamilton pool and Reimer’s ranch! We were the only ones camping there for the weekend so Johnnie let us have our pick of the campsites. They have such a charming property with hammocks and tables and even an outdoor shower with warm water. Very hospitable hosts, Johnnie checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. We will be back!!

We had a great time at this campground! It was a cozy place and the hosts were very hospitable. The compost restrooms were rustic but clean. There was pretty good shade in the full hookup site that we stayed at. They had scavenger hunts for the kids and provided maps for hiking and other things nearby. We were told to go to fisherman’s park for swimming but when we got there, the water was too low to swim. We ended up going to north bastrop lake which was a great place to swim but it is about 30 min drive from the campsite.

We brought our own camping chairs, but there were also chairs available and picnic tables.

What a great time we had camping at happy horse, Hollis and Beaux went above and beyond to make our stay fun and relaxing. The property was in a great spot! The nearby McKinney roughs nature area was a gem we weren’t aware of but had a great time exploring. I would absolutely recommend this property for your camping getaway.

Camping overnight at Happy Horse was so peaceful. They are very friendly and took great care of us. We really appreciated the electrical and water hookups being right next to our site with the bathrooms and shower not much further away. The history of the place is interesting too so make sure you ask for a tour - plus there’s a scavenger hunt we will have to do when we come back. A nice home away from home in some gorgeous surroundings to take in a golden sunset through the trees.

The forest sites have a lot of shade and space! We didn’t have issues with bugs or ants and while poison ivy was present it was not in the campsite main area. The camp host was very friendly and helpful, and the shared spaces were groomed and pleasant. The drive up to the campground entrance was a little concerning as the neighbors have an abundance of spare cars and items in their yards, but the campground is secluded from this and very beautiful. The waterfront area has a mixture of shade and sun and would be easy for fishing, kayaking by or canoeing access. We especially appreciated the flush toilets and sinks as well as the handy trash disposal sites.

2 nights at River Forest Haven

Fabulous host! We were in site 18 just a short walk to the bathroom and the ‘beach’. It was great for fishing and wading out and swimming if it’s warm enough. There was a good landing spot for the canoe we rented too. (Someone stole the paddles out of the canoe where we parked it, but the hosts brought us new ones. Who steals canoe paddles??) Site 18 is very sandy: nice and soft under the tent, lots of fun for the kids to play in, not very fun for dad to clean the camping gear after we got home, hah! Great place though for sure. I was super surprised by the pool, and there were a number of docks along the river. Very well kept.

Current RVer - nice lady too! If you want to RV here, your RV will be along side the house(in front of her airstream.) 50amp is available so would need adapter if too high of amperage) Being along side the house will likely hinder slides being able to be put out. Please message as she's month to month and situation may change

Weekend Trip to Camping Near Hamilton Pool

Sheri and Johnnie were lovely hosts. Greeted me on arrival, showed me the different camping spots available, walked me to see the neighbor's donkeys, and helped move a bbq grill that had wasps nesting in it at my campsite. They were extremely responsive on communications, friendly, helpful, and attentive. Their land is quiet and private, and yes, you will hear animals occasionally like a rooster or a donkey, but it's totally fine and adds to the vibe of being outdoors and in nature. Loved the camping site setup. Picnic table, separate wood small prep table, fire ring, water hose, hammocks, and compostable toilet all for use. Spot for you to park your car. Walking around the property, you will find a swinging 2-seater seat, frisbee golf area, and other things. Only about a 15 minute drive to the nearest gas station/quickie mart. I was told there is an HEB nearby as well. Super friendly hosts, well-kept property, spacious, and an easy getaway from Austin. Would definitely come back for another camping trip!

Good if you're not looking for a 'rustic' experience. You're butt-to-butt with other campgrounds and there's full electricity and water at every campsite, with a bathroom and showers not too far away.

Moss Loop Campground

I camped in campsite 16 over the past weekend. I am in love with this state park. There are so many activities to do including: rock climbing/ bouldering, fishing, swimming, hiking, animal watching, ranger events, and of course spending time with friends. This state park is perfect for people in Austin that just want to get out of the city and enjoy nature close by. The water is beautiful and there is so much cool wildlife to watch. The primitive sites are just off the water and next time I plan to try one of those sites. I also HIGHLY recommend going on any ranger activities. I went on a night hike and we found many cool things such as frogs and scorpions that glow in black light. Happy Camping!
