The campsite is situated on 22.5 acres with access to two ponds. There are nature trails to walk and areas just to sit and enjoy nature. Plenty of wildlife to see squirrels, birds and deer. This area was inhabited by Indians so look down you just might find an arrowhead or two. There are many lighted areas to gather around at night, or find a more secluded spot to star gaze.Learn more about this land:Nature walk, fish or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. Sit by the campfire or catch fireflies. We have open areas to throw a football or frisbee. Winnsboro lake is just a few miles away as well as 10 miles from 2 very quaint country towns. Winnsboro is home to Autumn trails and a great arts district.

We are self contained and didn’t need hookups so we were able to use the beautiful spot right by the pond. Nicely shaded, large fire ring, picnic table and chairs. There was a charcoal grill available as well. The outhouse in this area of the property was very nice and clean. Lynda and Ruston were very welcoming hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

This is our second time coming here and we are convinced this is our new recurring spot. Rick's land is so peaceful and full of beautiful camping spots that we're excited to keep exploring. Rick is always so attentive, helpful and so sweet to us, making our stay extra special. The horses and donkeys are a dream and makes the experience even more magical. Great private and quiet spot. The host was extremely responsive and friendly, and even refunded our reservation without us asking due to a small inconvenience (the lot was a little muddy after heavy rain) that honestly wasn’t an issue for us at all. Really appreciated the thoughtfulness!

My family and I had a great time! Rick was a perfect host. We mentioned wanting to do some fishing, so he put us near the pond. We were able to catch some decent-sized largemouth bass and bluegill. At our camp, we were visited by many of the animals roaming around. Willie and Doc really enjoyed hanging around our camp.

Ladera RV Resort was a great place to stay. It's just far enough off the interstate to not be loud. The sites are large concrete pull thrus with full hookups. Each site has a large, level turf sitting area. Because we arrived late, we called the info number at the office and we're told what site we had. As soon as we pulled into the site, we were greeted by the on-site manager who gave us a list of all the local activities, restaurants, and laundry sites. There are several long term guests, but their area is along the outside perimeter and the Resort apparently requires they keep their sites spotless because the entire resort is extremely clean. We couldn't be more pleased with our stay and will certainly return.
