In November, we had over 10 inches of rain. It was a blessing for our grass and cover crops, however, the spill way at our campground was severely damaged. Therefore, the pictures of our beautiful pond do not portray the actual visual of what you will see. We are in the process of working with engineers to repair the spillway. You will still enjoy the beautiful sunsets, serene environment and we have three other ponds suitable for fishing. We offer two full camper hookups and several tent camping options. We have a permanent toilet and sink on-site. We are a full time working farm. We have beef cattle, sheep, horses, goats and chickens. For an additional cost, we offer farm tours and we are willing to cook for our guests. There are several wineries and breweries nearby. We had a wonderful stay at Friends in RV Spaces, definitelyexcellent value for money. Even though we were travelling in a campervan without hookups, the site had everything we needed. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the WiFi near the little red building was fast and reliable. After spending time in the big cities of Texas, it was such a refreshing change to relax in a peaceful, green space with dark night skies and true country quiet. Sam greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming. He showed us around the farm and was interesting to chat with. If you’re looking for a safe, quiet, and friendly place to stay near Fort Worth, we’d highly recommend it.

This campground had beautiful wooded RV sites. The trails were paved through the park with cement sidewalks, but it’s still very natural through the wooded walking paths. There are several RV sites right on the Waters edge and this lake is one of the best lakes in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex

Beautiful park with paved walking trails and natural bike/hiking trails thru a forest. You can watch the deer at your site or sit by the lake. The only thing missing are sewer hook-ups for RV’s at the site. There is a dump station available but you would need to drive to it every few days.

Consolidate your things into a bucket or small wagon because you have to walk a ways to set up camp. This is great because you even get away from your car, but if you bring a lot and don't have a way to haul it in, you'll have to make several trips to your car.

We absolutely love Ray Roberts State Park. There is swimming, fishing, boating, picnic areas, and beautiful hiking trails. I love to take my clients here for photo shoots and on off days love bringing my pup here to run around! It's really beautiful, I would highly recommend camping or even just coming out for a day trip.

We love camping here! Some of the walk-in sites are quite a haul if you have a lot of gear so check the park map before you pick your site. Hawthorne area site #3 is perfect! Secluded but not too far from your car. Just enough distance to give you a more primitive feel but still have all your gear. This area is also right along the trail system so we were able to hop on our bikes and ride the loop through the park. Isle du Bois is our camping home away from home.
