1 night at Glamp like a Champ

So amazing! The location, the tent, the comforts of camping. Everything was thought about at this site. There was a pond, an air conditioned tent, a fire pit, a boat, lots of wildlife and MORE! We had the opportunity to add on a s'mores package, a charcuterie board (hands down better than a restaurant board), goat petting, goat milking, feeding chickens, axe throwing, and picking produce from a fresh garden. Me and my girls had so much fun. I highly recommend visiting this location for fun, relaxation, friendly people and wonderful memories! Thank you!!

Awesome spot for a weekend getaway. Peaceful, with plenty of space to explore. The pond was great for swimming, and the kids loved the boats and paddleboards. Perfect mix of fun and relaxing—definitely coming back.

Really easy to get to, arrived with a warm welcome and a guide around the area and the tent. It was everything we could have asked for. Jeff was literally the best he checked on us and brought us fresh fire wood. He even gave our kids some feed to give to the goats. We were able to take our kids on a paddle boat for the first time on the pond that was by our tent. It was super clean and super homie! Loved every minute!

shiloh on the lake was great! good access to the lake, a couple of restaurants in the area (had a hard time finding celiac-friendly spots, but "the dock restaurant and bar" was great). there is no wifi though, and both of our phones had a hard time accessing anything that needed the internet without wifi.

I use HipCamp a lot and this place easily went to the top of my list of favorites!! You can’t find many places where your dog can just run around and safely do whatever they want. But then there was also AC and goats and a gorgeous view of the sunset and stars! And literally everything you could need for comfort and convenience. Towels, lanterns, cooking and eating utensils, wifi, etc, etc! My pup and I were both very happy here and we can’t wait to come back and stay for longer!

Good times! A lot of room between campsites, shower and restrooms available. The llama do their llama thing a seem unfazed their human gusts. We'll be back!

29 nights at Lindale, Coyote Camping/Yurt/Tiny

The space is beautiful and always improving. There is a dog park almost finished, and a beautiful creek at the end of the property along a sandy wooded area that is a bit of a trek through some wetland, but will soon be a nice dry walk. The animals roam freely and the land is bordered by two farmlands with wide pasture and forested hill...and no farmy smells! If youre looking to learn how a homestead can be built, this is the place to come. You can wander the forest, forage for wild edible plants, check out how the spring has been tapped, and soon bathe in spring fed pools! We love it and have been here for three months, planning to stay longer 😀

3 nights at Lindale, Coyote Camping/Yurt/Tiny

Nice place to camp, allot of wood area to explore, goats, chickens, guineas, dogs, geese, and other animals! Nice people. Good Pricing.

2 nights at Llama Land Ranch

We loved staying at Llamaland! The Llamas were so friendly. They walk right up to you. We stayed in their electric with water site. It was a very peaceful 2 days. Hopefully one of these days we can come back.

4 nights at Shiloh on the Lake

It was expensive 79.00 a night. I stayed 5 nights during Memorial weekend. Very nice, shaded RV park, it has a nice fishing pier for people who like to fish.

1 night at Texas Safari Camp

Peaceful and beautiful. Stayed for one night end of May. It was hot and we camped in a shady spot. Thankful for the wheel carts. Randall was a great a host and we enjoyed the fire he started. We survived our first thunderstorm and slept peacefully. Will be back in fall!

This is a beautiful piece of property and we really liked it. We had to cut our stay short by one night because of weather but this is a really special local. There are no hookups so come prepared.

Welcome to Texas Safari Camp Come escape to a heavily wooded 31 acre pristine wildlife habitat. Only one hour east of Dallas but it feels like another world. At the end of a one lane rock road- this is a very secluded property. It is perfect for tent camping groups and individuals, has a very positive vibe and is more peaceful than most state parks. It adjoins a 950 acre wildlife park with 900 exotic animals. Many can be seen from the road or you can pay to drive through and feed the animals. Your host is Randall Oliver. He has been organizing group campouts (with as many as 40 people) for years and enjoys hosting, bringing people together and creating new friendships and memories. Everyone is welcome and campers are treated like family. He can teach your kids to kayak and build a camp fire. You can fish for largemouth bass, cat, crappy and bluegill in the two ponds and swim, paddle kayaks and paddle boards, hike the jungle trail and socialize around the campfires. There are no designated campsites. You can camp anywhere except between the green building and the front pond. No vehicles are allowed back on the property. Off road wagons are provided to help haul your gear. Front pond camping areas are 30-100 yards from parking area. The rear pond is more secluded but farther from the parking and outhouse. There are four fire pits around the front pond and one next to the rear pond. The tiny handcrafted Hummingbird Tree House overlooks the front pond and features a queen bed, a smaller bed in the loft, electricity, lights, a fan, screened operable windows and outdoor table and chairs on the elevated deck. There is no heat or air conditioning in the tree house. You must bring your own sleeping bags, blankets and pillows. No food, smoking or pets allowed in the tree house. There is a rustic outhouse with a modern composting toilet, sink, lights, soap, etc. and a nearby cold water outdoor shower (no privacy), sink and faucet.

It has extended acreage with multiple ecosystems. I just found a spring and will be doing livestock. There is yurt and tiny house for rent. There is an RV plug, electricity (extra fee), and a water hose. The site is close to downtown Lindale (5 minutes) restaurants and shopping. 15 minutes from tyler. It is country living but still close to city action. The lower parts of the property require 4-wheel drive, but the top has water and electricity, so any car is fine. As this is an outdoor area, there are bugs and critters. I have never had a problem, but this is notice that you agree to assume all liability and responsibility for your party by camping at this property. NEW: Starlink Satellite Internet! Unleased Pets are added fee. If they are in a structure other than your own, they must be in a crate, or we have a fenced dog park area.

Fieldsong Farm

In 2013, we bought our 13 acres from a larger parcel of land that had been owned and farmed by the Snider family for 150 years. (Note that we live on Snider Lane). The Sniders played an important part in the development of our town, Lucas, and surrounding schools. The rest of the land has been sold to two families, and all three purchasers (that includes us!) are establishing small family farms. Hurray! Plus the Snider's old house and barn next door are being renovated by the new owners! Since 2013, we have brought in water and electricity to the land, built fences, a house and several barns. We have a flock of chickens, a bunch of loud, nosey Nubian dairy goats, 2 cats and 2 dogs. We farm organic vegetables, and have planted some fruit trees. We are committed to conservation of our land and the wildlife that call it home, and are working to restore our wildflower meadow (location of the campsite) to original prairie state.
