We camped here on a cross country bike trip. Nice to be able to set up a tent and be so close to town. We didn’t have the chance to meet Sonya but David was very kind and welcoming to us.

Sonya welcomed me on to her property when I arrived and showed me around. The area was just as described and it was fun to see chickens and other critters on the property. Don't forget earplugs because the trains going by in the middle of the night were pretty loud.
I also ate at her restaurant down the street and the food and service were excellent. Highly recommend!!

My best friend and I loved the location, we were quite surprised by the proximity and friendliness of downtown Bastrop. If you're looking for a out of the city feel with some of the urban pleasantries, this is the right choice! Just keep in mind, there is a train that passed through on our night here, but we enjoyed the sounds.

We had a lovely time at Eden! The hosts were wonderful, the farm was beautiful & the location was in perfect proximity to downtown Bastrop and the Colorado River. Our favorite part was the fire pit accompanied by the peaceful sound of crickets chirping and chickens clucking - the simple life, a peaceful life. We can’t wait to return and learn more about starting our own little farmstead!

What a beautiful farm... in the heart of town but we felt immersed in nature. Even got to see a couple deer pass through late at night. Had a great time and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to explore Bastrop.

Sonya and Dave’s space is an idyllic little fairyland farm. They were gracious guests, so easygoing. Highly recommend Storehouse, which is a few miles down the road. They alchemize those veggies in a dazzlingly delicious manner. I hopped out of the hustle and bustle of central austin needing some fresh air and clear skies. I brought my rooftop tent and pitched it right near pecan trees. It was just what my soul needed. Bastrop is a gem and Sonya and Dave’s place put an extra sparkle in it.

I took a quick overnight to test out my new camper van build. What a great place to park and relax! I was under a grove of trees with a view of their farm. The owners are friendly and encouraged me to walk their property. I was greeted by their dog who loves to play fetch. There are porta potties available and water if needed. It’s an easy walk to downtown Bastrop so next time I will stay longer and explore the town as well.

This is a dream of a location! The owners are lovely, the physical location is tucked away but still accessible to everything Bastrop has to offer, and the farm itself is so peaceful. We ended up cutting our trip short due to family matters, but we got to enjoy all that this hipcamp location has to offer.
Upon arrival, Sonya gave a tour around the property, discussed our camp setup options, gave us a little bit of history on their place, and then we were free to explore and relax. Note: definitely bringing a hammock next time!!
Settle in, walk into cute and lively downtown Bastrop, have dinner at Store House Market & Eatery, and enjoy an evening of solitude camping under the stars.

What an experience - an urban farm in the middle of Austin. East Eden hosts Sonya and her husband were welcoming and helpful with suggestions of the local area. It was incredible to literally camp alongside rows of veggies and awaken to a working farm.

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Eden East Farm. It was a great way to experience Austin, while being in an incredibly calm, peaceful place. David and Sonya were incredibly welcoming and had some good tips on what to do in Austin. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely do it again!

We had such a wonderful stay at Eden East. Sonya and Dave are so welcoming and friendly, and we felt totally at ease & safe staying at their lovely urban farm. While we were mostly out exploring Austin while staying at the farm, it feels very comfortable to chill at the farm if you want. There is a fire pit with wood, and the restaurant (open on the weekends) looked fun and delicious. It was our first HipCamp experience, and I would definitely recommend Eden East if you are looking to camp in a cool spot with all Austin has to offer pretty much at your "doorstep".

I loved my stay at Eden East Farm. For a country boy who enjoys city life, this was the best of both worlds!
From the chicken coops to the multiple gardens, this is a legit, well-kept urban farm that is designed to be aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly, functional (irrigation and all). At the same time, I was just minutes away from one of my favorite Seventh St. attractions (Prohibition Creamery).
Dave was a laid back but accommodating host, and the farm-to-table dinner was top shelf. I definitely plan on returning to this treasure of a find!

Eden East Farm is truly a slice of paradise in an urban environment. You drive through Austin, thinking "There's no way there's a farm in here". Then, sure enough, 5 acres of meticulously managed lush vegetation.
Coming from a camping background, I have to say it is truly an uncommon blessing to be able to camp "in" town rather than on the outskirts. Coming also from an agricultural background, I must say that David and the crew there certainly know how to manage a farm as can be seen in the diverse and thriving crops all around.
Sonya and David were kind enough to accommodate my Roof Top Tent. I was a little concerned about the bustling city noise when I arrived, but right around 8 pm it really died down to make for a peaceful night's rest. There is a bathroom with a real sink and flush toilet as well as a light! Within a 5-minute walk, there is a really nice brewery and you're honestly a 5-minute drive to anything you would need.
If you are in Austin, looking for a unique and affordable alternative to lodging, Eden East Farm is definitely worth checking out! If I'm ever in Austin again, I'll definitely be staying here!

My stay at Eden East was great. It was my first experience on Hipcamp and it exceeded my expectations! The property is beautiful! The location was perfect. It was very close to everything. We walked to get coffee and breakfast in the morning. And it’s only a short drive downtown. We felt safe and secluded at our site. Sonya and her husband were very friendly and welcoming. We only wished we had stayed later so we could have had brunch at the restaurant on the property. 10/10 would stay again!

This farm was so cute and peaceful! We played with the chickens in the morning and were served coffee on Sonya's porch. David was super sweet and welcoming when we first arrived. Would definitely stay here again :-)

Loved camping in East of Eden. Sonya greeted us and provided several options of which we picked our favorite. Waking up in the garden in the middle of Austin is a remarkable experience. Breakfast from the onsite food truck restaurant is a must (coffee cake) and the brewery nearby is just a short walk. We will be back.
