There are some targets around the place if you like target shooting. You will need your own guns and ammunition. This activity is at your own risk. Neighboring town, Malone is about 8 miles away. It's quite small but does have a convenience store, with ice, drinks, food, and worms for fishing. There is also a small-town bar with music and food. Hubbard is a nice little town about 15 miles away. It features small cafes, antique shopping, gas and a Sonic. The town of West is much larger and about 30 miles away. West features Czech Bakeries, & old town square shopping. Don’t forget mosquito spray, bedding, and drinking water. There is plenty of dead wood for fire, but you may want something to cut it into smaller pieces. Please don’t go too big or crazy with fire. Conditions can be very dry. Keep the wood burning fireplace in the tent to small fires please. Tents can fit 2 adults comfortably; bring your kids and sleep on floor or bring your own tent to set up for them. children are free no extra charge.

M-Rockin-C Ranch, owned and operated by retired US veteran, is raising egg laying chickens, pastured boiler chickens, goats (Nigerian Dwarfs, Pygmy and a Nigerian-Pygmy cross), rabbits (California - meat/pets) and also have grass-fed beef (Brangus, Angus and F1 Hybrids). We have expanded our rabbitry soon to include Rex and Harlequin breeds as well. The drought of 2022 and 2023 caused us to have to cut fencing which we are still working to repair in order to bring back our heritage hogs. Turkeys are raised only when pre-paid by customers. We are currently working to get bees again for local harvested honey in Houston County, Texas. All my poultry and livestock are free ranged and live on pasture supplemented with non-GMO feeds using no antibiotics or hormones. My goal is growing all the livestock in an environment outside where they can live normal lives eating bugs and grass, enjoying the sun and rain and through holistic management creating more sustainable pastureland for the future. Our main rule is please enjoy observing the ranch life but do not harass the animals. We live in the country please do not be too loud or cross outside of our ranch boundaries. My neighbors have lived here or moved here for their own peace and solitude as well... be respectful of that and enjoy your stay in the country. The ranch is located in the Piney Woods of eastern Texas and consists of 95.26 acres mostly in open grazing land with dispersed pine and oak trees in small groupings and along the fence lines. The ranch has a nearly a 1/4-acre upper pond and an elongated narrower lake that is close to 1 and a 1/2-acre below the upper pond to the west. There is a fenced in just over 1/2 acre area just north of the upper pond. The ponds gain water from natural spring flow and rainwater. Cook Creek runs through the entrance area off of FM 2022 on the northwest side of the property. The creek is year-round but normally is only a few inches deep but does have a few deeper pools of water. The ranch has about 65+ acres of gentle rolling hills of open pasture. The pastures consist of bahia, maxio and angusta ryegrasses, with mostly coastal grasses with some red and white clover mixed with natives. The ranch also has a diverse group of wildlife including but not limited to coyotes, white tail deer, roadrunners, racoons, possums, wild pigs and hawks of different species. We have spotted a golden eagle on the ranch within the last few months. We have a couple juvenile bald eagles on the north-northwest side of the property. Our large great blue heron is back from his migration south. Several kingfishers are nesting near the large lake. Several other migratory birds and waterfowl also traverse the ranch during their travels north and south through the area. The night sky is amazing! If nothing else brings you here. You must come enjoy the view of the milky way and thousands of stars visible in our south-east Texas night sky. Photos of the night sky have been added to the listing... do not miss them! I really enjoy just leaning back in a zero-gravity chair and getting to view the sky when not looking through my 8in Meade Coma-Free Smith-Cassegrain telescope. I often have the scope setup and visitors are more than welcome to come view the wonders that our night sky has to offer on most clear nights. Bring a fishing pole to see if you have any luck catching a bream, sunfish, small mouth or largemouth bass. We do have turtles as well. The biggest and meanest is the alligator snapping turtles best to just cut the line than try to take your hook or lure back from these guys.

3 nights at Llama Land Ranch

We rented a RV site at Llama Land. As I was checking out I noticed the add on extras offered and ordered the charcuterie board. Judy met us at the gate and showed us to our location which had plenty of room for the trailer and a fire pit. It wasn't too far from the electric and water but you may want to have an extra electric cord handy, we didn't need ours. After we got set up she arrived with the most adorable charcuterie board! She had made animal shapes with the snacks! We also got a complimentary small bucket of feed. The llamas were amazing and Very friendly. They absolutely know what's in the bucket! What a relaxing time just enjoying nature. If you are lucky Peanut the cat will curl up in your lap for a while and Harry the dog will also check in on you! An overall amazing time!

I loved camping at Llama Land. I went with a group of women for an overnight camp at the pond. It was so beautiful and a much needed break from city life. The host was wonderful and kind. She was also very accommodating to our group. There is an upgraded silo with a bathroom that is quite modern and clean at the front of the property. There are several beautiful camping spots. I am thinking of going back soon with my mom.

Third time back to Llama Land. Such a great place, wide open with plenty of space. Kids love feeding the llamas, biking around the site or flying kites. Highly recommend.

We loved camping at llama land, Judy was so nice and gave us a tour, the llamas were friendly, the area was clean and rather secluded, and there was a nice dog on the property. Overall beautiful campground

This was our second camping trip to Llama Land, and so happy to be back! We had the place to ourselves, other than the llamas, haha! The kids get to roam, climb trees, feed the llamas, and there was a friendly farm kitty to boot. Be aware that if it’s windy, there’s not much shelter! We will definitely be back.

Llama Land was definitely a favorite! So peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. Judy was an angel, she made us feel like family, very kind and generous. We caught bass until we were tired of reeling and laughed and played with the llamas until our cheeks hurt! It was perfect! We can’t wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Llama Land Ranch

Came here to celebrate my birthday and is now my favorite by far! Judy was amazing! She stayed on top of communication and even gave us a private tour once we arrived. It rained the day we arrived, but were fortunate enough to have her guidance as to the best spots for setting up camp. Because of the rain no one else booked and we were able to enjoy this private paradise all to ourselves! The Llamas are friendly and wonderful! They will even be out and welcome you on a gray day! I recommend getting the extra feed as it’s an Experience on its own feeding them. There’s also a very sweet cat, Pumpkin, who will follow you around to keep you cozy and safe. Will DEFINITELY be back again!! All my friends intend on coming back and bringing their families as well! The best part is this is only and hour away from Dallas, so it’s great for a weekend getaway! Thank you so much Judy for sharing your Lovely space with us!

Our Girl Scout Troop had an amazing experience waking up at the Pavilion to see the llamas roaming about. There were so many llamas! The host is very responsive.

Weekend Trip to M Rockin C Ranch

The ranch is an extremely peaceful place. The host is very hospitable and friendly. There are cows, goats and chickens on the ranch that don’t interfere with camping and add so much character to such a wonderful camping spot. Electricity and WiFi provided with no issues every time we have camped here. It’s a short distance to Crockett where you can find groceries and any necessities needed plus great antique and resale shops. If you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy nature while having privacy, this is the place. Perfect spot for dark skies and astrophotography.

This was our 3rd time going we weren’t able to stay overnight but the day and the weather were amazing so decided to just have a day of relaxing here at Lama land and it truly never disappoints we had a very peaceful relaxing day :) and pumpkin the cat even took a nap with my wife lol we love it here.

A beautiful property with several camping spots, all seemingly 50 yards apart, so it felt very private, secluded, beautiful sunsets, and the Llamas were a fun thing to do for my son. There were add-on options at checkout for llama feed, smore and hot dog kits, which I felt were all very fairly priced. Check-in was easy and communication was great. Highly recommend!
