Nero Coffee's mission is to create connection between people through sharing great coffee and conversation outdoors. I started Nero Coffee in 2019 and purchased 6 acres near DuPont State Forest to share my land and create my own coffee campground to continue growing the mission. Update for 2024! Nero Coffee's Camping Spot has three ways to camp. Site 1: Glamping in my custom built (and way too adorable) mini A frame cabin. This cabin is tucked in the rhododendrons for complete privacy. Enjoy the super comfy bed and unique lifting side door to let the outdoors in :) or Site 2: Camping with room for up to 8 guests. There are multiple sites and so much room to spread out for groups up to 8 people. This year I am only opening tent camping for one group at a time so you can experience the mountains in the most peaceful setting. The upper camping area has plenty of flat areas for vans, cars, trucks and tents, and if you don't mind carrying our tent down the hill, the lower creekside camping area is THE PERFECT stargazing spot. There's plenty of room to set up any size tent down there, too. basically, You have the campground to make yourself totally at home. Site 3: Simple Car Camping Spot - Just want a spot to pull over camp for the night close toDuPont State Forest? We can make that happen. No tents allowed here, but it's a peaceful alternative to a cracker barrel parking lot. ----- Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :) I have fire pits, tables an, if I am home, I have a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. It's honestly the perfect spot for private, group camping and glamping up to 15 people. Just send me your date request and I will share a link to book if your dates are available. (2 night minimum for all full campground requests)

We suggest on hot days you close the shades and go adventuring, cool off in the river, do tubing, during the heat of the day. Just like you would camping in a tent. If you are heat sensitive we suggest booking a different time of year...Do Not leave a dog or child unattended at the treehouse this time of year whatsoever!  We highly recommend heading down to Sunburst Swimming hole, or just one of the pull offs along the Pigeon River to cool off or go tubing! Or even filling the garden bathtub with water to cool off in during your stay!  Cold mountain tubing is also super fun in the summer!  The Riverbend campground around the corner has day passes to their river access as well.  ❄️ Winter Stay Notice (November–March) Winter at the treehouse is a true off-grid, rustic camping experience and isn’t for everyone! To prevent freezing, the water lines are shut down, so the shower and faucets are unavailable. We provide 5-gallon water jugs for drinking, cooking, and cleaning, along with rinse-free bathing wipes to help you stay fresh without running water. The toilet functions when temperatures are above 20°F, and a backup porta-potty is available just in case. Our main heat source is a wood-burning stove, adding to the cozy, rustic mountain experience. Winter rates are lower to reflect these seasonal changes and reduced amenities. If you’re seeking a true off-grid adventure and love unplugging in nature, this is it! 🌲🔥 If running water and traditional comforts are important to you, we recommend booking during another time of year. We Provide: 55L Cooler, toilet paper, paper towels, towels, bedding, robes, sound machine, coffee & filters, pour-over setup, kettle, dishes, mugs, soap, sponges, dishes, corkscrew, utensils, can opener, cooking pans, salt, pepper, oil spray, lantern, first aid kit, matches, lighters, fire starters, propane grill, charcoal grill, grill tools, marshmallow sticks, & axe. Indigo Eagle Sanctuary is an incredible place to experience the abundance of nature in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our Sanctuary features two main areas: Mountain Tops, or Creekside sites. Immerse yourself in beauty and adventure, with waterfalls, a rushing creek, fishing, and camping. Our creek properties include the Creekside Cabin, and Waterfall Haven (multiple camping site options, with their own areas by the creek). Guests have room to explore the mossy wonderland along Hornbuckle Creek, take a dip in a swimming hole, take an adventure and follow a rough trail (at your own risk) to another waterfall, accessed across the creek, or just kick back and relax. (Note to guests: Trail has not been maintained since last year. Go at your own risk.) Our mountaintop options include Eagle’s Nest and Songbird Campsites. These two sites provide breathtaking, long-range mountain views and epic sunsets. They are great for quick get-aways, with ease of access to main roads/highways. Indigo Eagle Sanctuary Sites are located within a few miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee Reservation (museum, shops, dining) and Maggie Valley, a quaint mountain town with more shops, food, and entertainment. Nearest grocery stores are Ingles in Waynesville, or Food Lion in Cherokee. The popular Asheville is about a 50minute drive from our Sanctuary. Plenty to explore here, while being able to unplug and unwind. *Disclaimer The creekside camping involves a road that will require vehicle clearance in order to access campsites. 4wd is not required but adequate vehicle clearance will be necessary as we have received damages from storms.

Awesome 360° Mountain Views at CreekStone’s three VISTA360 campsites for small to large RV’s/campers, a tiny home and two tent camping spaces in Candler, North Carolina. Enjoy the mountains and lots of space to roam, hike, pitch horseshoe, enjoy fires in fire pit or simply relax and enjoy the views. All three of the RV/camper spaces have both 30/50 amp electrical power, sewer and water hookup. The tent camping space has toilet facilities, access to water and trash disposal. The tiny home accommodates 2-3 people - perfect for those who want to be close to their camping friends/families but don’t have campers. This property was my childhood home and after retiring, my husband and I moved back to one of the homes on this farm where I grew up. He has since passed and my son, Todd, now helps me maintain the property and assists with ensuring the best experience for our guests. We wanted to offer this space for campers to share the awesome views and this part of North Carolina with others who enjoy nature, outdoors, and all the great things to experience in the surrounding towns. Stayed for a long weekend with friends. We had the Summerset yurt and Holly Hideaway. Both were close enough to be good as a group, but also had privacy from each other. The Summerset yurt has a nice big grassy area to pitch a couple tents and also a fire pit and a couple picnic tables, outdoor gas grill, and prep table. Great host who checked in on us a few times. Bath house was large, clean, warm and had a great shower. We loved this place. Private playground!

This was an amazing place we were so pleased with finding it, a little sad we only booked it for one night, but we will be coming back! Hands down the best camping/glamping I have experienced. Every detail is attended to right down to a heated toilet seat. They truly have a little slice of heaven and we are great full they have shared it with us. 40 years of camping in 45 states and this one makes my top 10 for sure!

We arrived at little late and tired. Matt was wonderful, got us all squared away. The light was on, it was so welcoming and cozy. We hiked down to the river and fished. Grilled steaks, watch the sunset glow thru the trees. The yurt was so cool. I loved that we chose this place over a hotel. Best Glamping with a river, disk golf course to the river, hammocks in cool spots on the property. The beautiful hike and so peaceful. Great camping bathroom with a big shower. Great host, provisions, instructions were great, comfortable space, great parking.Nice way to unplug and be relaxed. Can't wait to visit again

I am used to camping with much less amenities. For this trip i just wanted 1 night where i didn't have to do much set up and tear down. Needless to say this experience exceeding my expectations, really nice easy to use fire pit. Beautiful spacious shed, games, electric heater, MICROWAVE! i loved it, will go again.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay!! the cabin was exactly what I needed. I brought my air mattress a little buddy heater, and I was good to go!!! I enjoyed having a fire before laying down in the cabin and I usually have to sleep with a fan going due to the noise but with the creek right next to the cabin it was perfect. Definitely a place that I’ll keep coming back to.

The coop was a cozy and roomy shelter that was much appreciated after a day of hiking at nearby DuPont State Park and subsequent thunderstorms. Bring plenty of battery powered lanterns to illuminate the coop. I appreciated the ample screened in windows that kept the place ventilated. The hammocks were quite a unique sleeping arrangement. I enjoyed the gentle rocking motion. The sounds of farm animals could be heard just across the creek. During my stay, the chestnuts were dropping from the trees… they do make a loud popping sound but once I figured out what it was, I was relieved. I would definitely return!!!
