Bug Spray is provided but feel free to bring your own. I supply the brand OFF. Please respect any neighbors, property, and obey all posted signs. Guests will not have access to the shed. Please be respectful of the camp as I am opening my getaway home to share its beauty with you. All I ask is you respect and treat it as your own. Rural, secluded, wooded area in Amish country, roads are shared with horse and buggies please use caution. Then road to the camp is accessible by gravel/dirt private road. Blind curves and narrow road, again please use caution. Camp is located not too far from exploring surrounding areas like Black Lake, the Thousand Islands, Canada, Sackets Harbor, Clayton, Alexandria Bay and Watertown, and the Adirondack Park. They all are within a day's travel. The water is supplied by a spring fed well and is perfectly safe to drink, shower, and cook with. The lake is private and unfortunately offers no public access for motorized boats.

My husband and I had the pleasure of being the first hip camp guests! What an amazing experience! We were so happy to visit this hidden gem! It is underdevelopment so it’s under a tad of construction. However this little gem is definitely one I would visit again. Joe was an amazing host and stayed up late for us after a small embarrassing navigation on my part(pfft truck driver getting lost lmbo) I would overall say the experience was amazing. I wouldn’t bring tiny humans… like I said still under development and the ponds… being a hover craft mom still for my adult children. But as a doggie mom my dogs loved it! Thanks again Joe!

I was in the Potsdam area for several days and found this gem on hipcamp. The site is at the corner of a huge hayfield. No other people in sight, although some deer did wander across the far edge of the field one evening. I went over and met the sheep and cows. That is definitely an add on to consider for this site. Coffee at Park Bagels in Canton is super convenient, and if you are in a rush, there is a Tim Horton's nearby.

Clean, neat, well maintained. Beautiful camping spot, electric (our pup was thankful for the air conditioning in 90+ degree temperatures). Easily accessible to multiple state parks in the area. Would also recommend visiting Henderson, Henderson Harbor, Sackett’s Harbor, Cape Vincent, Clayton. Alex Bay was much more “old boardwalk, touristy, kinda commercial” than I remembered from 20 years ago. Really fun weekend ~ Grandjean was as advertised ~ thank you!!

Bug Spray is provided but feel free to bring your own. I supply the brand OFF. Please respect any neighbors, property, and obey all posted signs. Guests will not have access to the shed. Please be respectful of the camp as I am opening my getaway home to share its beauty with you. All I ask is you respect and treat it as your own. Rural, secluded, wooded area in Amish country, roads are shared with horse and buggies please use caution. Then road to the camp is accessible by gravel/dirt private road. Blind curves and narrow road, again please use caution. Camp is located not too far from exploring surrounding areas like Black Lake, the Thousand Islands, Canada, Sackets Harbor, Clayton, Alexandria Bay and Watertown, and the Adirondack Park. They all are within a day's travel. The water is supplied by a spring fed well and is perfectly safe to drink, shower, and cook with. Canoe-Picnic Point is the place to be! That is, if you have a boat or are like a fish in the water. You see, this secluded island on the St. Lawrence river, is well, an island. Automatic coolness factor, +10. The park is on Grindstone Island, which is one of the largest islands in the famous “Thousand Islands” area. (Rumored as one of the most beautiful places in the state). As you would expect, the boating and fishing is excellent and is what draws most people, but the island itself is quite pretty with picnic areas scattered about and secluded, forested campgrounds. Canoe-Picnic Point is a wonderful visit and only accessible by boat… how cool is that?
