Hello and welcome! I have a few areas on the property that You can use to suit your needs. you can tent camp or vehicle camp at some and park and walk about 100 feet or so and tent camp only. there is power and water available on the property but not at each site. I am developing this into a place for camping slowly and that's why i only have a few areas as of right now. Unfortunately, there are no bathrooms to use yet. Update: gps for maps is in correct and takes to to neighbors driveway and home . The mail box for this place is blue and has a red address Tag and a sign that says Sailors Sky. Please turn immediately at mailbox. It has caused problems with having people on neighbors property with flashlights and police being called due to incorrect gsuspicious activity.

This partially wooded site, set back from the main road 250’, offers privacy while also being within the boundaries of the small community of Paradise. Single full hookup for one camper less than 3 miles from Lake Superior and just down the road from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It would make a great base camp for spending time in the central upper peninsula. -We have 50/30/20 electric, softened iron and odor free perfect water, septic, WiFi, and can accommodate a VERY large rig, lots of parking available. -All graveled. -An acre of land at the end of a dead end paved road. - A mile the way the crow flys to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, not too far out of Munising, but in a quiet setting with woods to the east and south. -There is only 1 site, so you have the area to yourself. -Pellet grill, picnic bench, small standing fire ring and patio chairs are available for your use. -We do get wildlife like, turkeys, deer, owls, coyotes in the area that you might see or hear! -There is a hidden back lawn area, and I'm working on establishing a small orchard and vineyard in the back, that the site overlooks. -Leashed dog friendly. (Please make sure you clean up any pet messes!) -Small rolling dumpster available for kitchen trash We purchased the property 3 years ago, had it cleared and put up a barn, we are currently working on finishing the interior. So I may be around putting in some work inside, this wouldn't be anywhere near where you would be parked.

40 acres well off the beaten path. Approximately 6 miles off of State Hwy M-94. A two track will lead you back to 40 acres of undeveloped land containing a variety of pine and poplar. Our private property borders State and Federal Forest land that contains an overwhelming amount of two track roads to explore Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The sky is unobstructed from trees leaving the stars to be enjoyed all night long. A section of the Stutts Creek flows through the property where you can enjoy a quiet morning listening to the water flow and the occasional rise of a brook trout feeding. Deer, Turkey, Grouse, Bears and Wolves are all found in our area and are often photographed by visitors. Please practice safe food storage due to a healthy bear population in the area. You're welcome to set up a campfire wherever you camp, please practice fire safety and adhere to state and county burn bans that may be in effect. Once you arrive you are free to set up camp wherever you want. This is primitive camping so come prepared to enjoy nature at its finest. There is no bathroom so plan accordingly. The property is less then an hour from Lake Superior and the heart of downtown Munising and about 30 minutes North of downtown Manistique. A GPS app such as OnX will help you navigate property lines and show you all the water bodies in the area you can enjoy. The road is generally fine for 2wd but 4 wheel drive is recommended when there is rain or snow in the forecast. Our property is fairly remote which will give you a unique experience. We hope to have you.

Discover the unique charm of JoeIda Campground, a secluded retreat nestled in the heart of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Owned by Don and Leslie Edmunds, who have called Munising home for over thirty years, this campground offers a rare opportunity to enjoy camping in a tranquil setting surrounded by timber, allowing guests to experience both togetherness and solitude. The property, originally acquired from Leslie’s grandfather Joe and his wife Ida, holds a special place in the family’s history. After their passing, the couple’s legacy inspired the naming of the campground. Since opening in 2017, JoeIda has welcomed visitors from across the country and even as far as Sweden, fostering a sense of community among campers. Located just twenty-eight miles east of Munising and eighteen miles west of Grand Marais, JoeIda Campground is conveniently situated one mile south of Kingston Lake and one mile off Highway H58. The access road is primitive, making it ideal for tents, truck campers, and trailers under forty feet in length. While larger units have successfully accessed the campground, we recommend considering your towing experience. Our pet-friendly facility also permits off-road vehicles. JoeIda features eight spacious and private campsites, perfect for large groups seeking a peaceful wilderness experience. Each site
