We live on a 15 acre farm. We have a barn, and a fenced in yard for the dogs. Much of the acreage is fenced off for cows. We have a small vegetable garden in the spring and summer and a large flower garden space in progress. There's a small pond on the property. In additions to cows, we also have chickens, barn cats, and dogs. We have a second driveway and half-circle drive for parking a camper or car, as well as flat spaces to pitch a tent.
There is fishing nearby at the Amarugia Highlands Conservation Area and the city park.

We have a Hobbit Hut near the Frog Pond, a Boho Bus near the entry way and several Vardos (gypsy wagons). For our tent campers there are tent sites in the Eastfield, including the Movie set location of the DM Cabin, and for diehard campers the beauty of primitive pack-in/pack-out camping of Freedom Field is a joy! Milo Farms is a segment of space and time that lends itself to a reset of mind, body, and soul. Car camping, which is what I did, is not the best way to explore as the car camping sites were close to parking for the primitive sites, and cabins. That won’t stop me from coming back though. My nervous system was reset and I look forward to visiting again soon. I can’t wait to explore future events and opportunities and I am so grateful to see that there are wonderful stewards of the land. ✌️

The open land was clean and well taken care of. We loved the free roaming goats and donkeys. The animals were very friendly! Our campsite had a tree swing which was a nice touch! Was greeted promptly and very respectfully. It felt like “home.” It’s a great place for some peace and quiet away from the noisy world we live in! PS- the CLEANEST outhouse I’ve ever used!

Great campground, except RV overflow campers.

Rabbit Ridge Campground
Great primitive site with access to multiple fishing spots. Caught plenty of crappie and a couple catfish.
Downside to this trip was RV campers showing up after quiet hours on a Friday night who had not bothered to reserve other campgrounds and found them full. Ran their generators, played music, left truck lights pointing into tents - the usual lack of etiquette.

We stayed in a primitive tent camping spot. While the setting was nice, with trees and a view of the lake, there were drawbacks. A short walk away a shower house was available, which was a prime reason we picked this campground. In the women's shower house there were 7 showers - but only 2 worked and 1 of those was a low shower designed to be used while sitting.
