What started as a simple love of backyard chickens has now become a dream farm for Tracey Durant and her husband Theodore. Nestled in the valley between two forest covered hillsides, and running adjacent to Clearwater Creek on the east and the Lake on the south, D'Ranch could not have been a more perfect location for the Durant's to plant their roots and get their feet wet. While they continue their love of backyard chickens with their small egg and hatchery operation, they have expanded their interests to an array of friendly farm animals including horses, milk cows, pigs, sheep, ducks, geese, and an occasional turkey or two. We have two private sites, a primitive campsite directly on the Lake of the Ozarks, and a RV spot with full hook-ups (water, 50 amp AC, and sewer). The two sites are separated from each other, but both have access to the lake, including kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, excellent fishing, a boat-ramp, floating dock and a one-mile perimeter nature/hiking trail. *** NOTE *** From January until early May, the lake level is dropped about five (5) feet, so boating and fishing access range from difficult to impossible (though, arrowhead hunting is a fun activity you might enjoy during the low water months!). Primative Campsite - A private 1.5 acre campsite with a firepit (and plenty of wood to burn in it) and direct access to the Lake of the Ozarks. Amenities and features of the campsite include: a private camp toilet with a door and a concrete pad, picnic table on a gravel pad with an umbrella, a fully equipped cornhole game, fishing pole holders, a garbage can, three (3) level wood tent platforms, and even a big swing set! RV site - the RV site also has a picnic table with umbrella, a garbage can and a fully equipped cornhole game. Nearby, the RV site also has access to a very nice private pit toilet, a gazebo with lights and an electrical outlet, and a firepit stocked with firewood.

Today, we call it Fanthorn Forest and it's our dream, our haven and our home. We love sharing our farm with others and allowing them the same experience of peace and tranquility we get from the land. There are MANY thorn trees, so hikers must have proper footwear.  Fire ring, wood and a grate for cooking are provided.  Livestock encounters are also available with owners in attendance.  All proceeds are put back in the farm to care for the animals and the land. Parking area is at the end of the driveway and a cart is provided to take your gear across the bridge. Ozark Adventures is a new park in the Lake of the Ozarks area, located on the west side of the lake. Our park is configured around privacy, space and integrating the camping experience with the natural forest setting. Our sites are at least 50 feet apart and provide plenty of trees and shade. Almost all of our sites are pull through, located between two roads coming down a hillside. You pull into your level site from one road and pull out onto another. All the roads are one way traffic so as to not force campers to negotiate steep uphill roads. Located adjacent to a well supplied supermarket for all your camping needs. We have a large community fire pit and games courts for playing lawn games, all lit up at night. In our modern camphouse we have beautiful showers and a brand new laundry facility for your convenience open 7am till 10pm daily. Our regular season is April - October, but in the winter we do offer long term stays with a minimum 28 day stay. Those are at $350 plus electric during the winter . We also have dry tent sites at $25 daily. For attractions make sure to check out our trademark Patatay mountain bike/ hiking trail with challenging switchbacks, bridges and other attractions being added as you read this. We also have a private, 3 acre lake on our property open for fishing for our guests. A brand new fishing pier makes it fun to enjoy peaceful fishing and fabulous sunsets on Hawk Lake.

Hiking options vis trails or finding your own way. Abundant deer, turkey, squirrels, armadillos and more are regularly seen. The county is very natural and hilly so be prepared to enjoy safely. There are towns only about 20 minutes away if you want to get back to civilization. The lake , including options to rent a boat, kayak or eat lakeside is also just a few miles drive from the camp sites. Noite that the private shared drive is gravel and hilly. A for wheel drive truck or SUV is highly recommended and required in winter weather.

The cabin was so cozy and peaceful. It is in a beautiful spot and I loved taking an early morning kayak paddle. The farm is beautiful. I wish I could have stayed longer. Tracey is an amazing host, friendly and gracious. I made a mistake booking and she was so kind and patient helping me sort it out. She really goes above and beyond making sure everything is clean and her guests have everything they need.

We loved our stay at 38 special! Great location and the sites and facilities are SOOOO nice. Clean and level. The table, chairs, and Solo stove are high quality nice furniture. Most sites are right on the water with others just feet away so the view is always good. We really enjoyed the swim beach and dock and the pool is great. Everyone there is super nice as well. We are looking forward to going back!

Beautiful RV resort! Pool with pavilion and outdoor kitchen with grill. Very clean shower house with 6 bathroom shower combos and laundry facility. Sites are smaller for larger RV’s but still feasible. Boat launch and fuel accessible. Price was ok but noticed it increased since we booked our stay.

It's a cozy little spot in the cove. I liked that we could launch our kayaks right from our campsite. The only drawback I found that I didn't know ahead of time was that the ground was all gravel which was hard on one of our dogs' paws. Next time they will be wearing booties.

We had a great stay at this RV site in the Ozarks! Being right on the water was amazing, with beautiful views and plenty of time to relax by the lake. The pool was great for cooling off, and we really enjoyed the BBQ area for grilling and hanging out. Overall, a fun and relaxing spot—we’d definitely stay here again!
