As a guest, you are free to access any part of the 220-acre property except other campsites (there is currently only one).
This listing is located on The Riverbend Preserve, a private nature park, so there is no hunting, fishing, or foraging. Please do not discharge any firearms during your stay.
The forest to the west of the Preserve is Washington State land, and on occasion locals go up into the hills to target shoot. In the unlikely event that this happens during your stay, don't be alarmed; the British are *not* coming.
This land is a nature preserve with lots of wildlife. You're welcome to bring your pet, but keep small animals close to you as there are coyotes and predatory birds in abundance. Black bears and mountain lions also live in the hills, so please always be cautious while hiking and exploring.
If you use AT-T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or most major carriers you can expect good cell service. Single use or small cellular carriers may have intermittent signal or no signal at all after you leave the City of Chehalis behind.
Most important of all, relax and enjoy your stay in this incredibly peaceful and secluded valley.

Camping at Hidden Pillar is a primitive, off-grid experience:

We had a great one night stay. The tent is well furnished and the outhouse set up is clean, ingenious and very close. It would be smart to understand the functions of an old school wood stove so you don't smoke yourselves out.
Pets are welcome on leash or tether but we were not aware that the family dog was free ranging. Very friendly dog but ours was unexpectedly surprised by the welcome visit at the door and it set a tone of watchfulness for us. Had we been aware, introduction and play would have been.
That said.. I give this one 5 stars on all scores and the eggs are as rich in quality as the quiet woods banking these spaces. Owl spotting was fun. ❤️

Thank you so much for providing an excellent overnight stay for our group of three plus three dogs. The sleeping spaces were so comfortable—we slept like rocks—the glamping tent was beautifully appointed with cozy bedding, extra quilts, and lighting. We appreciated the hosts’ careful directions and accessibility as we had a few questions. The fireplace was a workhorse, there was plenty of kindling, we enjoyed a simple meal around the fire and it was more than we hoped for! Thank you also for accommodating my daughter’s need to connect computer for her work. Your cats are absolutely charming. We had a hard time saying bye to them. You are doing a great job with your glamping. Hope to see you again down the road.

It’s clear the hosts have done a lot to uplevel this place! The room was definitely renovated with a more modern feel & the size was great. It had everything we needed for a 1-night stay. Things to note given the old (but updated!) building: It took a long time for the shower water to get warm, and the walls between the units are really quite thin, especially in the bathroom. The rest of the property left a little bit to be desired with a small, outdated kids play area & communal spaces, but we could tell this is a work in progress & the access to the beach was great.

Wonderful stay, peaceful farm with song bird choir in the morning. Lovely fresh eggs and creamy cow milk! Beautiful day for water ski lesson, thanks! Very clean glamping accommodations; we enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again.

This place was an absolute dream!!!!! Beautifully set up and perfect for a weekend away. This place is a hidden dream!!!! Completely private, I was able to let the puppies be wild without a care. Marc was an amazing host.

Cute cabin! We were not expecting such a fun and convenient location. Only thing to mention is there is not much in the way of cooking pots and pans so if you plan to make meals, you may want to bring bigger ones. Shower pressure was great, and the fire pit with picnic table was perfect for our family. We will be back!

This was a beautiful piece of property, and very secluded! We felt very safe in the gated community, but were definitely still fully submerged in nature and close to the ocean. All of the neighbors were friendly on our walks, and it was fun to get a little bit of creek, pond life, and ocean.
The outdoor shower was an awesome feature, especially with a toddler! We love a good bonfire, but sometimes its nice to wake up not feeling like you slept next to one!
The glass house does get pretty hot during the day, but it gets nice and cool at night. We did have to leave the door open for air after a hot afternoon, so we have delt with it getting a little buggy... but that's camping!
The bathroom setup was very clean and an overall good and easy system.
Thank you for the kitchen utensils, a grill, and a washing station!
The bed was super comfy! We loved falling asleep to the frogs, and waking up to the sunlight coming through the trees, and then enjoying a hot cup of coffee provided by the hosts.
Would stay again. Thank you!

This is a beautiful property with so much to explore. The river had I nice beachy area to hang out on nice days. The glamping tent setup was put together very well. Also had electricity and wifi. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend checking it out. Only downside was the road was a little rough in spots for small cars.

Our stay at The Preserve was amazing. Super peaceful and quiet, with thoughtful touches throughout the site. Marc was very helpful and responsive. It was the perfect place for our mini honeymoon and we cant wait to come back!

Nice large tent with weather proof material and covered deck. The farm animals are great to see everyday and to hang out with. The Large tent is not too close to the barn, and feels secluded due to the hill and trees. There is plenty of space in the tent to move around and relax. I would stay here again.

We loved staying in the yurt, the accommodations were simple and perfect, a great place to unwind and unplug! I saw some reviews before we came that made me a bit nervous, but after experiencing the place myself I had to share the positives. Before booking take a moment to READ DEN’S DESCRIPTION fully so you know what to expect and how to prepare appropriately!
The composting toilets were clean and pleasant, and the shower gets so wonderfully warm! The wood mat on the floor keeps everything clean too.
The kitchen is a real plus, basically an industrial kitchen setup in a rustic hobbit worthy setting. It rained on our last morning there and listening to the rain while sitting under the metal roof was as idyllic and picturesque as it gets.
We also appreciated talking to Max about the farming side of things, and his help restocking the propane!
We are already planning a return trip with friends 💜
