Located 5 minutes from the Amphitheater, 10 minutes from Ilani Casino, and less than 30 minutes from some of the nicest freshwater lakes around. This is a secluded, Park Like property with walking trails all the way around it, and some interesting things for kids to spot, especially up Fairy Lane. Walking access is permitted, but you must keep pets on leash and keep an eye on your kids. In the dry season, typically May through the end of September, fires are not allowed, and please USE EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU CHOOSE TO SMOKE ONSITE. If you are one of those who just tosses your butts in the underbrush, you will be asked to leave for the safety of our property and guests. There is no smoking allowed inside the cabin, bathroom, or anywhere near the sawmill, or any area North of it. There is a public bathroom in the middle of the property beside the tree fort. It's well lit and open 24 hours a day. It has a flush toilet and a hot water sink and a HOT shower. * PLEASE NOTE To keep from freezing, the instant hot water heater is disconnected, and hot water, and hot showers ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM NOV 15TH TO MAR 1ST. Tucked Away Retreat evolved from empty acreage to an easy retreat from the city and an opportunity to share our love of the rural life. Located in the Chapman area of Scappoose, this area is rich in logging history; the Crown Zellerbach trail is an old logging road and now an 18 mile hiking/biking "story board" of the life and culture of both the Native American Indians that lived in the area and the evolution of logging. Just over the peak of the CZ trail (which is approximately 3 miles from our property) is an old mine, just one example of many hidden areas to explore. Our retreat is just 45 minutes from Portland, yet feels a world away. You can relax in the quiet or explore the trail, the small towns that dot Highway 30 or head to the river. If you continue West on Highway 30, you will pass through many small logging towns, the old Trojan Nuclear site and eventually land in Astoria on the coast. Learn more about this land: Tucked Away Retreat is quiet and peaceful yet 45 minutes from Portland. Located on 4 private acres, watch the deer wander through the property or the hawks float overhead. Bring your bikes and hit the Crown Zellerbach trail, or hike it instead. We are located approximately 0.8 mile from the trail. Visit Sauvie's Island, the largest inland island in the United States. Paddle or kayak on Scappoose Bay, head up to the Trojan frisbee-golf course, or just relax. We are also an easy drive from Vernonia, the Nehalem River and Big Eddy Park. The B side is on gravel on the upper drive and is shaded most of the day. This site is best suited for camper vans, truck campers or small trailers due to trees along the back curve of the driveway. Large trailers/RV's and motorhomes will fit but you may need to back in. The B side is backed by our private, small shop. It is adjacent to our tiny house, with a privacy fence separating the two areas. The site has water, power and septic hook ups. There is also WiFi, although it can be spotty inside your trailer. The property can accommodate one or two additional RV's in spots adjacent to both sites for multiple vehicle groups; contact us for more information if you are a larger group. Additional vehicles are an extra charge. Please be aware that we are RV only, we have no outhouse, so we cannot accommodate tents or folks who want to sleep in their vehicle. We will consider an exception if you have a RV/trailer and kids who want to sleep in a tent. Please reach out to us prior to booking for this exception. We do not allow "shower" tents. Also please note that there is no cell service once you leave Highway 30; you have to have WiFi calling capabilities to use your cell phone. These sites are on our private property. We live onsite but the B side and tiny house are situated facing away from our main home. Please reach out with any questions.

Learn more about this land: It sits upon a meadow with surrounding trees and a cow pasture in the distance. Spring time offers a small pond (please see below), but the Lewis river is close by with tons of recreational activities (swimming, fishing, hiking, wineries, etc.). There is only one site so there is a lot of privacy (there used to be two so some of the pictures show the older site right by the pond). It is a rural property with both farms AND residential homes/Airbnbs along the river and surrounding area. Town is not far (six miles) to get supplies and the Heisson convenience store is less than a mile away. It's perfect for a quick trip out of town for a day or two or just a quick and safe stop in your travels. This a beautiful property and I enjoy sharing it, please be mindful of the rules. Quiet hours start at 10 PM until 8 AM. *This winter was tough, lots of wind, so some trees fell, but they are all cleaned up and lots of small trees were planted. Can't wait until they grow to help for more privacy!!! Please, read the site description carefully! There is NO electricity or plumbing at the site but there is a composting bucket toilet with seat and lid in a private tent (so if you are a large tent group you may want to consider bringing another camp toilet as there is only one available). YOU MUST PACK OUT ALL WASTE. There is a BPA safe hose for water at the top of the hill for your use (I usually have it on but if not please feel free to message me, and if you don't want to wait for a reply please feel free to knock on my door). This site can accommodate a large group, please see the prices when reserving. (It can fit up to five RVs but keep in mind it's dry camping other than having access to potable water.) It is also perfect for just one person or a couple looking for some privacy. I LOVE Dogs and they are most welcome, and may be off leash for a run in the field, however, they MUST have high recall. Please be mindful of my own dogs and chickens down below so please do not let them go beyond your site or the field when using. *We plan on making the pond to be a swim pond that will hold water all year long (the creek that runs into it is seasonal so it dries out depending on how much rain we get in any given year).

Dogies are welcome and need to be on a lead 100% of the time if outside. We are located 10 minutes from Hillsboro, 30 minutes from downtown Portland, 5 minutes to North Plains and 3 minutes to two wineries - Helvetia Winery and Eagles Nest Winery. We like things chill and would love to have you enjoy is special setting.

We are approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Portland. Our camping area is about 5 acres and offers something for everyone. If you have a large RV and need a safe and quiet spot to stay for the night, we got you. We have a large fire pit, Adirondak chairs, a large picnic table, and a swing set for the kids. Family get-togethers or birthday parties are welcome! We are located just 1.5 miles from The Banks-Vernonia Trail. Bike campers are welcome! Feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends as well. We do not have a fence, so if you do not trust your dog of a leash, please keep them tied up. We have a lot of deer that pass through and untrained dogs love chasing them. Banks has a few restaurants to choose from: Subway, Dairy Queen, Main Street Pizza, Mary's Mexican Food, Hop-Cycle Brewing to name a few. There is also a Supermarket in town just in case you forgot your S'mores supplies, Spirits, or campfire wood. We are about 20 minutes away from McMenamins Grand Lodge, in Forest Grove, which hosts some great live concerts during the summer. We have a few fishing spots within about 30 minutes of the property. Hagg lake, Horning's Hideout, Dorman's Pond and the Wilson River are all popular spots. We have clean well water and 50A electrical hookups. We do not offer dumping of black water, but you can empty your tank at the Elks club in Forest Grove (25-minute drive) for free or Camping World over in Hillsboro. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of. During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like. Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. Please, only book if you have an RV with working plumbing. **We will not accept tent campers** Please feel free to ask me any questions, we are willing to make accommodations for special situations/events if possible!

It is in a rural neighborhood and a road runs above the property so there may be some minimal car noise. Please be aware that because we are in a rural residential area, MANY people have private shooting ranges. Gun fire may be heard periodically as people prepare for hunting season etc. NO ranges are on the property or directed toward the property in any capacity. -8 acre parcel -in rural residential area -private but there is some visibility from the road by passing cars. There is a home on one side but it is not visible from the site nor can they see the site. -the whole parcel is the site -the driveway is steep but manageable for most cars and trucks!

2 parking areas are available for dispersed campers on the property. You can park in either of the concrete block areas. There is a 30 amp RV plug behid the shop area . You can back into the spot begind the building, to the left. Please try not to block the other parking areas.

Talons property is gorgeous! His directions were spot-on, and he was there to greet us upon arrival (comfortably available, not hawkish). Quiet, clean property with lots of space and serene. Stanley was a friendly dog and played nicely w our two dogs. No evidence of dog poop or messes to be seen anywhere…so not sure about the previous review?

My son and I had a great time staying at this location. We stayed for about a week and explored the area. We went to the skate/bike park in Sandy, mountain biked Sandy Ridge, rode downhill at Mount Hood and went to post canyon to do the dirt jumps. We played frisbee golf at multiple locations and went to Portland too. Each day we would come back and hang out at the barn and play games and have a nice clean place to eat and shower. Cool place and I’d like to come back again!

The location is quiet and serene and beautiful and the host very friendly, prepared and communicative. The water and electric hookups were perfect. We enjoyed our stay! The parking space is amply big and well kept.

Nice place and owners. This RV Park is 2-3 miles off the main highway and on a bit of a hill. We'll maintained. Very active during fishing season and guides with boats camp here.

The space was absolutely lovely. Quiet and out of the way, it was like we were the only people on earth. Both mornings we were there a mother deer and her little fawn came to visit us. It was like a secret fairy tale.

Weekend Trip to Mt Hood Vanlife Oasis w/ Coworking!

This place is AWESOME!! They’ve really thought of everything. It’s like a badass hostel meets camping. It was nice to chat with other campers but it never felt like there wasn’t ample space/amenities to go around. Our van is simple with no bathroom so the amenities in the barn were so nice to have after hiking all day. The gym/living spaces/games were perfect on the rainy morning waiting for the weather to clear a bit. If there is something you’d want to do on some down time they probably have it in the barn… I swear they thought of everything. (Also, to call it a barn seems like underselling it… it’s really a beautiful space and so cozy!) The space and hosts are also very very dog friendly and our dogs enjoyed hanging out both inside and out. I wish we had explored the creek and trails but after hiking so much we were spent. It’s a great location close to Sandy and 30 mins from Government Camp with tons of hiking trails nearby. 10/10 recommend!!! Thanks so much for providing this beautiful place to spend our trip. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Gateway to the Oregon Coast

Beautiful property and a great choice for some peace and quiet not far from the city. The spot was perfect, clean, easily accessible with our 33 ft 5th wheel. Easy access electrical and water hookups. Stanley is a very friendly and well behaved pooch. He was very social with us and our dog.

Everything was so great. Anita came by in the morning to open the gate to the shower room, her sweet cat following. After my shower i got to meet penelope the adventure duck! Beautiful peaceful property, with incredible artwork. Im going back tomorrow!
