This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane. The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping. Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have! We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings. Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. Wide open spaces." Please be aware that we do not allow parking on grass without explicit permission which is always handled on site. Vehicles will most likely not be permitted on the grass itself with rare exceptions.

Our farm is located in the center of the Yakima Valley in Southeastern Washington State. The physical address is 3510 Scoon Road Sunnyside, Washington. The Valley is known as the fruit bowl of the nation. The site is located on a farm that has been in production on the Roza slope 4 miles north of Sunnyside since 1945. Surrounded by fields of peppermint, Concord grapes, and a variety of crops within walking distance it is a fertile paradise. The Yakima Valley has thousands of acres of wine grapes, hops, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, and vegetables. Wineries are located up and down the Valley and people drive 100s of miles to do wine tours. Several microbreweries are also accessible and within 50 miles to the west you’ll be in premier hiking in the Cascades. Rural farm camp in Yakima's west valley. This relaxed campsite is bordered by fruit orchards and farms on a very quiet dead end road. Over two acres of field grass surrounding by rolling hills with views of farms, cows, horses, and the eastern foothills of the Cascade mountains. There is a 1/2 acre pond on the camp property with frogs, turtles, wild birds and wild ducks and geese drop in all the time. Very quiet and peaceful out here, the frogs will sing you to sleep and that's about the only sound you will hear. There is power and water hooks up at 2 of 3 camp sites. You may surprised at how loud peace and quiet can be. Whether it's the prehistoric sound of sandhill cranes, a serenade of coyotes, elk talking, hoots of great horned owls or a simple chorus of frogs and crickets; if you enjoy being immersed in the sounds of nature then come and enjoy. "The Refuge" abuts Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge so be sure to bring your binoculars or spotting scope. Elk, sandhills, coyotes and deer are frequent visitors to the property, bear and bobcats occasionally. If you just can't sit still and relax, we are only 16 miles from BZ Corners and the white water opportunities of the Big White Salmon River, 12 miles from the Leidl boat ramp on the Klickitat River and 16 miles from the town of Trout Lake and all the recreation opportunities to be found in the Gifford Pinchot. If it wasn't for the view (and it is awesome!), the site would be rather unimpressive. It's level gravel driveway with water, a 50/20 RV hookup and dump that sits between an unoccupied house and large shop that we may occasionally visit. A fire pit is available. Need leeway on party size, check in time or something else...message me and we'll see what we can do. Reality Check Exhaust brakes. This is timber country; during the week early morning truck traffic can be expected. Traffic is always very light, but it only takes one exhaust brake at 4:00 am to remind me of the crazy hours loggers work. Mosquitos. Conboy Lake is really a great big seasonal marsh and the mozzies can be a moderate annoyance at times. As a seasoned camper, I would rate them only slightly above a "run of the mill" nuisance even during peak times . Let it shine! The hook up site is exposed. Mid August, 4:00 pm, 100 degrees out...you'll want an awning or AC. Consider "The Oaks" under add-ons as an option, or message me to discuss. Darned hosts. We're your nearest neighbors, about a 1000 yards away, mostly obscured but visible. We're pretty quite, but sounds of life may occasionally drift your way. Sometimes mowing has to done and the dog always barks briefly at UPS or when we come home. If we interrupt your illusion of seclusion it will only be briefly. No trash service. Pack it in, pack it out. Thanks! Cell service is sketchy.

Weekend Trip to The Refuge

Greg’s place was fantastic. Directions worked out great. Although, if you’re coming through the Portland area, I’d recommend crossing the Columbia before Hood River, as that bridge is narrow if you’re towing anything! That being said the location was perfect. The hookups worked great. Greg had a nice covered area to get some shade in. Looks like a second RV spot is in the works but it was to ourselves this time around. Greg met us shortly after arrival and was really friendly and helpful, but made sure to just let us do our thing. He has a home on the adjacent property with some beautiful horses that seemed to keep to themselves. The view of Mt Adams was almost unreal. It kept taking me by surprise just how vivid it was. There’s a really well taken care of field for the pups to explore. A nice few trees to lay under with really nice shade for a hot July day. We brought our baseball gloves and just hung outside, ate some nice food and relaxed in nature. There’s a town nearby with a little market and gas. That’s about it, besides the mud racing track and rodeo. Fine by me! Cell coverage is spotty, so plan accordingly. Starlink works great. The peace and quiet, stars at night, perfect hookups, friendly host and fantastic view make this another Hipcamp I recommend and look forward to returning to.

Stayed here for a couple nights with my dogs and had a wonderful time. The space is private and so peaceful. The dogs loved having space to run off leash and watch wildlife. We absolutely loved our stay here! The mountain views were breathtaking, and the campsite was so private, peaceful, and cozy. It was the perfect place to relax and make family memories. Greg was wonderful to work with. He was friendly, responsive, and incredibly accommodating with all of our requests, which made our stay even better. It's clear he genuinely cares about his guests having a great experience. If you're looking for a quiet getaway with amazing scenery, this is the place. We can't recommend this campsite enough!

We stayed three nights in our little camper there at Darwins place behind his shop. There is power and water available, Darwin is kind, helpful, and extremely accommodating and the site couldn't be closer to town for convenience sake. With the close proximity it was still very quiet and private enough for us at the NW corner (Site 3). Thanks Darwin!

Great time here at the Hay farm! Shane had recommendations for restaurants in town. Easy to back in with LOTS of room for maneuvering your rig. Leveled spots. Easy hook ups (water/power) and trash near the entrance at the silo. In the evening we saw 2 barn owls up in the barn. So cool! With T Mobile had max bars so service wasn’t an issue. There’s a pond around the corner worth checking out! Also areas @ the farm to walk your pups.

Beautiful place. Great view of the open meadows and Mt. Adams. I saw a doe with two fawns. And wildlife in the refuge. I had 3 dogs with me and they loved being able to run around. Lots of little critters in the rocks to sniff out. Definitely want to go back again. Maybe in the fall when the colors start changing.

We loved camping in our RV on David’s land. The pond was great, with a cute deck to relax on. The geese, ducks, frogs & dogs were welcome company. Friendly host. We would definitely stay again.

5 nights at Cottonwood Country Camp

We tent camped for 5 nights. David, who goes by Paul greeted us & gave us the run down. The pond is alive with all sorts of life, so it makes for a wonderful eyeful/earful of nature. There's even Allison who is a very friendly goose! The bathroom is a bit of a walk up the hill, but perfectly doable. There are night lights around the property & is a very safe environment.

This is literally our favorite place to camp! It is so beautiful no matter the season; the sounds of birds and wind are so relaxing. Greg is a great host, we love the attention to detail and kindness. It is the one place my anxious pup can fully rest. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Greg was an excellent host! Very accommodating and attentive. This location offers a stunning view of pastures and Mt. Adams in the background, which is truly breathtaking. There is no light or noise pollution, and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Thank you!
