Pitch your tent in our wooded trailside retreat and have access to picnic tables, fire pit, and an outhouse! First camp is where we ask that you park your car/trailer. If riding ATV's or snowmobiles, this spot is closest to the trails! We have a small camp on this spot that we stay in on most weekends. There is a tent/camper site on the side of the yard.  Parking is also available in the door yard.  These spots have access to an outhouse that is fully stocked with anything you would need. There is also a picnic table and large fire pit. The second site is for the remote camper! These spots are at the end of the property tucked in the woods. Set up your tent next to the babbling brook that curves around this site OR travel up a mountain and sleep under a canopy of trees. There are tons of hiking trails nearby as well as kayaking and moose watching. Feel free to reach out to get suggestions for where to go or what to do during your retreat!

Tucked away in the Lake Umbagog wilderness, we are a small privately-owned farm with the wonders of the area surrounding us. Boating and fishing? Check. Hiking and mountain-biking? Check. Swimming and Sailing? Check! All the fun and memories that go with camping and bonfires and outdoor cooking! Check! IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: We are intentionally remote, secluded, and off-grid. We are best accessed by water (1.3 mile paddle or motorboat), with a seasonal (May 15-December 1) 9-mile very rough (4wd) logging access road (minimum vehicle clearance 8in---seriously). For first-time guests arriving by road, you will need to be guided in---the property is impossible to find on your own (no gps, no map). If you arrive by road, please note that you must park (free/overnight/safe/secure) at a narrow trailhead and walk to the lakeside sites about 1/4 mile down the hill. We are happy to help you with your gear and have a couple of wheelbarrows and sometimes an ATV. So unless you want to RV/truck/car camp at the trailhead (definitely an option), it is tent-only camping on the lakeshore and garden sites. Please don't ask if you can drive your vehicle right down to the site---we don't even drive our own down. However you decide to arrive, we are happy to guide you at no extra charge. We do have cellular phone service on site and shoreline but NOT on the logging road in. [There is unfortunately no way for us to make the property accessible for guests who need the use of personal mobility equipment. Also, from experience, we MUST caution those with medical conditions that this is a WILDERNESS location, at least two hours from any medical facilities and very difficult to even medevac.] We have a small fishing boat (paddle only), 1 kayak, 3 mountain bikes, and a canoe for rent; firewood for purchase on site; your choice of spots to pitch a tent or use our raised platform. NEW for this season! Powerboats! 20ft/200 hp and 17ft/125hp outboard deep v-hull boats for fun or fishing. Book here: https://www.getmyboat.com/trips/VKVG2V5N/ and here: https://www.getmyboat.com/trips/WYb4rMVN/ Join us for astonishing sunsets, breathtaking wildlife, and beautiful gardens. We can't wait to meet you!

This beautiful, historic property was one of the first to be settled in the early 1800s. The credited first settler in Charleston, Vermont; Abner Allyn and his family owned this farm for 100 years! Our family began restoring the farmhouse as well as beginning a small regenerative farming operation in 2022. Currently we have a small flock of broilers and layers, turkeys, ducks and guineas. Our birds are fed an organic feed local to Vermont and are pasture raised. Freya an Luna are the Great Pyrenees' about the farm. They protect the flocks from predators. They are working dogs and have access to the entire property. For this-and other reasons, we discourage bringing pets to the farm. A sweet brook meanders through the property which all sites have access to as well as stunning views of bald mountain. Lovely farm views throughout the seasons. Multiple trails for exploring can be found on and off farm. Trail heads to multiple mountains are within a few minutes of campsites. Lake Willoughby is a short 4 miles away, 7 miles to Island Pond, as well as endless hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing and more.

Nestled on the shoulder of Mount Cabot (4180'), our hillside yurt has a stunning vista of the Connecticut River Valley, with Mt. Lafayette to the south and the Green Mountains to the west. Decompress with a hot outdoor shower and cook over the outdoor firepit as the sun blazes toward the horizon, and look up through the yurt's skylight as you revel in spacious night among the stars. The yurt is grid-powered, the stars aren't. Note: Our wood-fired hot tub takes 48 hours notice for us to make it perfectly hot for you, so please reach out to book it before you arrive! For an even more immersive nature experience, The Orchard on Apple Hill road is ready for your tent or hammock, along with an outdoor kitchen, two hot showers and compost toilets, picnic tables and firepit, and propane cooking burners. The Orchard's solar kit can charge your equipment and boil a kettle for your hot morning cup. The Pond on The Hillside is open to guests for swimming or skating at the case may be. Firewood is included with all sites, so please don't travel with firewood as it's a great way to transport forest-devastating invasive insects. Hikers are welcome to wander along old logging roads through our sugarbush, and along trails throughout the remainder of the property (300+ ac. total) where there are numerous springs and creeks, mystical softwoods, expansive grassy fields, and a wild apple orchard. Moose, deer, and bear tracks are common, but animal encounters are not - still, please sequester your food accordingly and be mindful to carry out scraps or place them in lidded containers provided. Reach out to us to reserve a few precious hours in our wood-fired hot tub, rent snowshoes, or schedule a maple tour and tasting at our saphouse. As an avid mountain biker, nature lover and adventurist I decided to purchase this piece of property near the network of trails as East Burke continues to grow. I always loved camping and want to share that with others. It’ll take me some time to build in campsite amenities but would love to have others be part of that journey. Come pitch a tent and stay for awhile. Learn more about this land: Enjoy over six acres of forest on a private dead end road. There are views of Burke Ski Resort and amazing sunsets. From the property you can bike to the Kingdom Trails of East Haven via Flower Brook Rd. You can also meander through the property and follow it to Flower Brook or take a short drive towards Victory for swimming holes, fishing, or Radar MTN. There is no potable water but I leave a 5 gallon jug of drinking water that can be refilled at the town playground.
