Worth every penny
This campsite tucked away on the outskirts of Bend will absolutely be somewhere I stay again. The huge patch of soft green grass was perfect for setting up a tent and relaxing. They had trees you could tie your dog too, and plenty of shade during the sunny hours. Mackenzie was also so helpful and always around when I needed! The amenities are great and better than most official campsites I’ve stayed at that’ve offered similar listings.
Fantastic spot! peace and serenity!
I loved staying at McKenzie‘s farm. Watching the gorgeous sunset over the Cascades and the Strawberry Moon rise in the east the same evening was simply breathtaking. I loved watching the cows, geese and chickens. The grass was lush, cool and soft on the feet on a hot summer day. Also, the waterfall feature was nice and relaxing. I went for a run on the adjacent BLM trails. There was everything I needed and more! Table, chairs, BBQ, toilet, power, WiFi and running water. I will definitely be back! 🏕🥰
What a gem of a campsite! Even though the site is close to the family home, it’s down a hill and behind a rock wall so it really does feel private. We spent most of our waking hours sitting on the provided chairs under the shade of the trees, watching the world’s happiest cows (and beautiful little calves!) munching grass less than fifteen feet from our tent. We were planning to get an early start in the morning but pushed back our departure by a couple of hours just to soak it all in for a bit longer. Mackenzie made communication a breeze and there were plenty of amenities (power cord, chairs and table, port-a-potty, sink, bbq, etc) to make our stay enjoyable.
Mackenzie is a great host! He was super prompt with all of his communication, was very personable when we met and wanted to make sure I had all of the amenities he offered available to me. I would happily stay at his place again.
