The Navy OLF is nearby. It is recommended you check the flight schedule for dates and times the jets will be flying. Depending on the direction they happen to be flying that night, it can get quite loud. In those instances, ear protection is recommended. About a third of summer weekdays the OLF is used. The jets do not fly on weekends and holidays. Having said all of this, most campers enjoy the airshow, as it is a unique opportunity.
The camp site is approximately 6 acres located in a quiet secluded forest area near highway 525. A fire pit is provided on non-burn ban days. A flat grassy area is big enough to enjoy your recreation activity of choice. Bring your binoculars and check out all the different kinds of birds. Nearby wetlands provide lots of food for birds, bats, and dragonflies. Other wildlife you may see are deer, bunnies, owls, quail, butterflies, garter snakes, and raccoons. Lots of native flora can be identified with your plant identification app or book. The beach is about a mile away where you can hunt for sea glass and enjoy the waves or build yourself a shelter out of driftwood.
The mostly flat gravel road can accommodate any size RV.

Just what is Cowboy Camp, you might ask. The traditional definition refers to sleeping outside under the stars with only a bedroll, a fire and the night sky for companions. But if you are a fan of the western genre and lifestyle, you might also know it as a place to go to hang out with like minded folks and experience the Cowboy lifestyle. This includes all people, men and women alike, as the term "Cowboy" is largely generic and not gender oriented. A taste of that lifestyle is what we are offering here at our Cowboy Camp.
As part of your cowboy camp experience you can sign up for a horsemanship lesson involving handling and grooming horses and time spent working with the horse in the round pen.

Our beautiful piece of property is comprised of 11 acres situated on the northeast tip of the Olympic Peninsula just outside the quaint Victorian seaport town of Port Townsend. It lies approximately 4 miles from downtown with its many art galleries, restaurants, shops, boat harbor, farmer's market and the historic Rose theater.
The horses are excluded from camping areas during your visit. No need to worry about curious horses coming into your campsite to say hello.
We have created a walking trail through the forest around the land that is full of the sounds of life and birds. A pileated woodpecker makes its home in the back corner and two pairs of barred owls also inhabit the nearby Douglas firs.
An important note for the walking explorer, please be aware that many areas of the farm are in their natural state. This means you might encounter prickly plants such as star thistle, nettles and tansy ragwort. We are happy to identify these for you if you are unfamiliar with them. Please be aware and dress in long pants and long sleeves while hiking. There are no poisonous snakes present in this region.
Side note : Due to the presence of horses, chickens and various wildlife on the property, we do not allow outside dogs at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

Main camp site is the “upper field” where there is room for parking and power/water connections. This is conveniently level with the main road and flat. There is “lower field” that is a trimmed grass field right corner next to the driveway, Finally the “back field” is large, grass field and a fire ring across the northern half of the property. The back field has an unused septic system underground, so we leave the grass and vegetation longer here to attract wildlife and preserve the infrastructure for potential future use. No vehicles allowed in back field.
In the middle of the property is a grove of pine and cedar trees with thick, native salal bushes and rhododendrons crisscrossed with paths created by humans and the local deer population.
Driveway is shared by neighboring property so wave and smile if our neighbors walk or drive out to the main road, and please be respectful of their property line and follow the local culture of 'live and let live'.

Deer and occasional coyotes roam the property, but rest assured, they are apprehensive of us and pose no threat.
We derive great pleasure from spending time outdoors, so you may frequently observe us engaged in fieldwork, construction, or simply relaxing in our stargazing hammock circle. We are always available to provide you with space or invite you to join us. 2026 update! We welcome Tio and Rosie, our two new livestock guardian dogs, to the DunTun this year. Our sheep, goats and dogs are on pasture during the day, inside electric fences, so please use caution and keep your pets and kids safe. We have also installed a perimeter fence around the back four acres but please continue to keep pets on leash for their safety and the safety of our animals.
We built a new shelter for the compartment toilet for added privacy and weather protection in 2024!
We are expanding our farm stand, in addition to eggs you will now find seasonal produce, firewood when fires are permitted and souvenirs made by folks who live and work on our farm.
Both campsites are unimproved spots in our future silvopasture food forest. Located on the "back four" acres of our property, they're surrounded by trees and seclusion. We back to a small airport and are near a main road and you will probably hear traffic. Both campsites have trees and space protecting them from views of people or development. We improved our road in 2022 so bring your vehicle with no worries.
We're just outside of the busy part of Port Townsend and close to farms, beaches and historic sites. Go into town for festivals, restaurants and the farmer's market. Chimacum, just two miles away, has several nice restaurants, breweries and farms that offer tours. We're two miles from restaurants, hardware stores and a grocery store in Port Hadlock.
We're just 45 minutes from Olympic National Park and 2 hours to the Olympic Peninsula Coast so we're a great stop over.

Lots to do around the area, including Finnriver Cidery, hiking in the Olympic Mountains and the Victorian town of Port Townsend. We now have decent wifi you can use, so option to
come and work remotely! (Unfortunately we don't have tons of space for kids or dogs to run around, but definitely plenty of nice grassy area to set up tents, yard games and a campfire).
Our site includes wifi, picnic table, and potable water. Campfires (outside of a burn ban) and pets permitted! However we do have free-roaming chickens (ask us about fresh eggs!) so leashed up or chicken-friendly dogs please.
Guests love staying here: "Gorgeous spot to sit, relax and take in the sunset across the farm fields before tucking in. We visited for one night with a 10.5’ tall camper van rented from Cabana, which fit easily under the shelter with plenty of clearance. The shelter itself is a great spot to get outside and eat a meal, and the rocking chairs in the yard were chill too! An occasional loud truck will go by on the nearby road, but not bad. We slept fine. Walk to Finnriver Cidery for dinner (yum)"

Please be aware this is a working farm with poultry, livestock, and the use of farm equipment providing a great experience for farm life.
Glendale Farm experienced a devastating loss in 2022 when the primary residence burned down. Since then, we have been engaged in a long-term restoration effort, including extensive cleanup from an extreme hoarding situation.
Please wear sturdy shoes at all times, as we are still carefully removing glass and other sharp debris from parts of the property. You may encounter old farm equipment, a few derelict RVs, and other remnants of the site's history as we continue this work.
We appreciate your patience as we gradually improve the farm with future showers, a communal kitchen, gathering spaces, and enhanced landscaping. Your stay directly supports these ongoing improvements.

Wish we had more time at the Maple Grove Hideaway and that there wasn't a burn ban in place. Loved the view of the river and we saw two eagles. It was well maintained and not too far from La Conner when we needed access to a bathroom. Diana was helpful with directions and understanding of our late check in.

We’ve stayed here three summers in a row and really enjoy the spot. It’s clean and beautiful and has a nice sitting area. We love being able to walk across the street to Finn River and you’re super close to the corner store and farmers market on Sundays. Highly recommend!

Beautiful site surrounded by tall trees! Even though it's close to the road, it is full of nature—we even saw a deer and her fawn walk right through during our stay. The facilities are well-equipped, making it a highly recommended spot, especially for families.

It was a great place to stay with the camper, easy to set up, plug in, and go exploring. The private beach across the street was also very nice to go to and looked great for surfing. Hearing the crashing waves at night was super relaxing. Also the check in was easy and the owners were incredibly nice. Definitely want to go again and would recommend it

Enjoyed our 2 nights at Jeff's place. This location is a great way to start and end our few days at Olympic NP. We stayed our first night onto the peninsula and then went onto Rialto and Hoh Rain Forest - then stayed another night on our way out. Check-in simple, laundry room clean and efficient - thanks for not making us download yet another app - quarters work!!!

Quiet neighborhood. RV spot was flat with a small grass field in front. There's a house on either side of the lot but didn't see or hear any activity. Walking around in the neighborhood with my dog was really nice with some views of the water.

What a beautiful spot in La Conner! The site was gorgeous, with stunning water views and a peaceful setting. Having both water and power hookups made our stay even more comfortable, and the location was perfect—just minutes from downtown La Conner.
Diana was a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We had an amazing time, and both we and our dogs absolutely loved it. We can’t wait to come back! 🐾❤️

I had a beautiful view of the barn and the hay field. I really enjoyed my stay and Chris was great. Responded quickly to any questions I had. I noticed just a little noise from the road at night but other than that it was very quiet. I just wanted to note that if you have something bigger than a van it won’t fit under the cover but just right in front of, along side the shop. Which was great for my 23’ airstream. I’d definitely stay again!

My friend, our small elderly pup and I stayed one night in my Tesla as we had to get to the ferry for Victoria early the next morning and we would HIGHLY recommend. Super clean bathrooms, quiet respectful guests at the surrounding sites and SO affordable. We will definitely be back when we plan our next trip for hikes in the Olympics.

Ebey's is beautiful! Super easy to check out, has amazing views. Check out nearby Coupeville. For meals, we highly recommend Oyster Catcher or Toby's Tavern to enjoy local seafood!

We come here at least once a year, sometimes 3-4 times, for a day of being lazy and doing nothing. Do Ebey's Landing trail hike, a 3.5-mile hike. It's a loop. I recommend you head to the hill first and finish with a long beach walk. Either way you won't regret it. Head to Langley for ice cream at Sprinklz if you're heading south to the Clinton ferry. If you're heading north toward Deception Pass, stop by Lopez Creamery near Anacortes.

Park at the beach and take the Bluff Trail. No need to do the whole thing if you're running short on time. Save it for a mostly clear day to catch the views of the Olympic Range, Mt. Baker, and even Mt. Rainier.
