Camp Chet was founded with the purpose to help people encounter God through outdoor experiences. It over 900 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. Take a hike on miles of trails comprised of forest paths, old wagon roads, or coal mining roads. If you find a chunk of coal on the ground feel free to take it home with you as a souvenir. If you are a history buff, you may be interested in discovering previous caretakers from the late 1800's and early 1900's in nearby cemeteries. The camp ground is on top of a mountain, and you will have to go through a locked gate and drive over a mile and half on a bumpy gravel/dirt road. Weekend Trip to The Falls at Sewanee Creek

This place is the cutest! The best of both worlds for those who love camping but not necessarily tent camping. You have plumbing for a wonderful shower but then can sleep on the deck to the sounds of nature. Temps were cool enough that a fan was all you needed outside but there is no working plug once the lights are turned off as everything is connected. So a way to keep the fan running after turning off the lights would be good! We had battery operated fans thankfully. Upstairs there is air conditioner and a bed if you don’t wanna deal with sleeping with nature. Kitchen has everything you need to feed yourself and keep your drinks cold. So much to do in the area starting with the hike to the waterfall on the property and also off the property. Worth it! Esp the one off the property, name escapes me. The owners are so so kind and nice and full of great tips. They truly care about you having a nice stay! Would def stay here again. The only downside for us was the bathroom as it’s labeled compost but not truly compost. They were quick to change it out for us after the first night though so just ask! Don’t hesitate, book it!!

4 nights at Covenant View Camp and Retreat

Our family loved staying at Robby's place! The RV was so nice and a good size for our little family of 4. Our kids ask everyday if we can go back, that's how much they loved it! It is very private and Robby is super hospitable. We're already trying to plan our next visit because we didn't get to explore his land as much as we wanted. Everything was amazing, we actually needed a little help learning how to work the water and drain the tub after bath times for both kids and Robby was up there and ready to help ASAP. He's super responsive and had a ton of incredible information to tell us about the native land we were staying on. I had to go to Chattanooga for a work trip, but it never felt like work when we got back. The firewood he provided gave us 3 nights of fires and the bed was so cozy, even though my husband and I are both really tall. Our kiddos loved the bunk beds and slept through the night, which is rare with two toddlers. The amenities are so nice and it really is such a short drive to Chattanooga. We will always look back on this trip as one of our favorites and we can't wait to visit again. Thank you for everything, Robby.

4 nights at Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres

I traveled from California to take my grandkids camping. George was an amazing host!!! He was communicative and flexible. when plans had to change due to medical stuff. The site was well designed and surprisingly well equipped. The camp kitchen had all the basics plus. I have a trailer with all my gear so I was grateful to have all the items forgot readily available. The cabin was bigger than expected. We spent a rainy afternoon playing games and napping. Great combination of convenience and real comping!! We will be back!!!

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Acres at TNcampground

This was a great place to stay and Jodie is a very thoughtful, informative host. We had 4 families staying at the property and there was plenty of room for the kids to run around and the adults to relax. The glamping tents were great and had absolutely everything you could need to camp in comfort. Definitely would stay here again the next time we are in the area.

I loved staying in the treehouse! My girlfriend and I had a magical experience standing under the waterfall and Grant and Becky were wonderful hosts!

Unique in all the world. I’m not aware of anything like it, although I’m sure there will be copies. This is the original.

Much better than the pictures or reviews! This place was absolutely stunning, secluded, and peaceful!! We saw mama and baby deer walk by daily grazing in the woods. The bed, sheets and pillows were great! The decor seems very intentional. SO MANY DETAILS!! Why isn’t this place always booked??!!

Such a cool property. The views were great and it felt secluded and very relaxing. Becky was very warm and welcoming. It was raining while I was there but it was so green and lush. I loved all the repurposed stuff on the property and would definitely reccomend staying here. The little waterfall trail and sleeping in a trampoline tent definitely made this stay stand out.

Weekend Trip to The Ole Place

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin in Chattanooga! The location was perfect peaceful and tucked away in nature, yet close enough to explore the city. The cabin itself was incredibly cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Waking up to the beautiful views was the best part of our trip. The host was also super responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to come back

Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park is a beautiful spot. I ran the 2.5-3 mile loop at Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center (next to the park), and from that trail continued on the Lower Truck Trail along Lookout Creek heading toward Skyuka Springs. Didn't;t ruin all the way to the springs- I turned around at some point, but I only saw one mountain biker on the path and 2 runners, and this was on a Friday morning in mid-June. I Also hiked Glen Falls which is a short hike but very nice.
