My husband, pup, and myself loved our stay at Craig's RV on the lake! This is our second time staying with him but first time at this spot. We had so much fun! We used the kayaks they provided and our SUPs we brought along. Being right next to the lake changed our experience . Our pup loved it too. She would just run down to the water and lay in it whenever she wanted 🙂 The RV is packed with everything you need. The private outhouse is clean and omg the deck! Best view. We wished we would have booked a longer stay. We will be back!

We had an awesome time on Craig and his wife’s camping spot! We would 10/10 recommend this site for anyone looking to stay in the U.p. The site itself was very maintained and stocked with more than we needed and included campfire wood, countertop stove, sink, and water to wash dishes. The camper was cozy and very clean inside. Craig was very responsive to questions (we had a lot) and he and his wife were fabulous hosts to us. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you both for having us!

This was absolutely the most amazing camping trip we’ve been on! The cabin was perfect, sauna was amazing, and was the perfect distance from Kitch-iti-kipi (25 min) and Pictured Rocks (45 min). Craig was super helpful and even when we came in at 9:30 after a long drive, took the time to show us around the site. Kayaks were so nice to have, and our dogs enjoyed the space to run around. We didn’t hear or see anyone the entire trip, other than 1 small fishing boat that motored by on our last day. It was such a relaxing space, I’d book again for sure!

We had a fantastic time staying in Craig's cabin! We usually tent camp at more rustic campgrounds, so using an outhouse and having limited electricity wasn't a big deal for us. The cabin was well-stocked with the basics (e.g., towels, bedding, pillows, dishes, utensils, etc.) and even had extras like board games, bug spray, coolers, and large jugs of water. Craig was super helpful and friendly during our entire stay. Our three dogs LOVED the freedom to roam the property dedicated to the cabin. We made use of the kayaks and had a lot of fun on the lake. We definitely want to return for another stay.

Hands down would recommend anyone looking to get away to a secluded spot. Very thoughtfully done property with everything you’d need for camping. The private lake & kayaks to use, stove top to cook on, water for washing, & an outhouse to use. Everything was very nice & very beautiful. 10/10 would recommend

The little camper was super sweet. It was nice and quiet and perfect for a break from city life. It is also located close to so many different areas. Highly recommend if you are looking to get back in touch with nature and disconnect from life.

My husband, pup, and I had a wonderful time camping at Craig's! The little RV was thoughtful decorated and full of supplies and amenities. Callie was free to be off leash as soon as we got out of our car! Craig's wife and son met us when we arrived and took us to were the RV was located. It's tucked back in a little clearing in the woods so you have 360 degrees of privacy! She was super friendly and gave us a quick tour and told us how everything worked. There's an outdoor kitchen set up with propane and we'll water for cleaning. Only things you need to bring are food, drinking water, ice, and maybe extra firewood. You can easily walk to the lake (where you have your own water access) and 2 kayaks for you to use! Currently I think there is only 2 other spots where people can stay. The only other people we saw during our stay was Craig's family.

The perfect outdoor getaway. Hosts were incredibly kind and there were so many fantastic amenities we didn’t even have to unpack the majority of supplies we brought! My favorite spot was definitely the hammock in the sun.

Pros:
Cabin was clean, equipped with blankets, towels, pots and pans. A few cooking items like spices. Enjoyed the kayaking, 4 available. Enjoyed the sauna. Enjoyed the campfire and did use the grill.
Cons:
The kayaks were dirty and found ants in them, the paddles were cheap and one was bent, also only one of the four was new. Only solar power to only power the cabin lights- bring portable battery for additional power. A few spiders in the cabin -bring spider bug spray and spray around the cabin!

First off, the property is BEAUTIFUL. Quiet, secluded, gorgeous. My dog and I had an amazing time just enjoying the nature, the birds, the lake, all of it. I’ve never been so disconnected and I loved every second of it.
The cabin isn’t the most barebones, but there’s a bit of rustic-ness to it. It was fun to be a bit off grid for a few days. The cabin is stocked with anything you could need, which is so thoughtful of the owners.
I didn’t get to meet Craig, but I did meet his wife and son and they were so kind and helpful. They were very welcoming and although I didn’t need to ask them for anything during my stay, I knew they would be happy to help if I needed it. They also gave me some great recommendations of things to do in the area.
I can’t say what I liked best, but taking the kayak out on the lake with my dog was a blast. So maybe that was the best.
Thank you for such an amazing stay! It’s a long drive to the UP from Tennessee, but honestly I’d do it all again just to stay here.

We loved our peaceful getaway to Craig’s property. The cabin was cozy and the privacy of the lakefront was wonderful. A loud train in the late night hours was the only disturbance. Host was helpful in instructional use upon arrival and great with any questions or items we needed. Took the jon boat out fishing was a bonus. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking!

Craig and his family are incredibly kind and friendly. I am jealous that they get to live near by. What an absolutely wonderful property. There is a ton of privacy. Beautiful lake views, amazing fields ( our dog must have covered every inch playing out in the sun.
We didn't get that opportunity to take advantage of everything Craig had to offer. The boat near the launch area is great. Kayaks, fire-pit, you name it.
The cabin is very cozy. Had a very welcome home feel. The sauna was great, nice touch. My favorite feature is the wood burning stove. If you've never used one before pay attention when they explain it :)
This is a Top 5 all time spot (we have been everywhere) I would come back in a second!

This could not have been a better solution for my dog, and I. The cozy cabin has everything you need. Best outhouse you’ll ever use and a modern wood burning sauna/shower. Stunning, remote location. Very strong T-Mobile cellular signal. The hosts were amazing as well.

What a wonderful cabin and site. On the water, very private. If off-grid is your goal, this is the place.

I loved the private space! I was also shocked at the amenities available. There were games, puzzles, blankets and pillows, tons of firewood, a French press!, pots and pans, cooking oil....etc! Truly a great weekend away. Our dog loved being able to run around too!

Craig and Marina were excellent hosts! They have thought of everything to make the cabin comfortable. There are two large coolers for storing food. All bed linens and even towels were provided. It was nice to have life jackets provided for the kayaks to save on packing. My son enjoyed fishing and Craig gave him some good tips for the lake. It is a quiet area and we never saw anyone else on the lake. There were no mosquitoes!
This is a beautiful spot to unwind or use as base for day trips.

This is our fourth year trekking up to the UP from Kentucky and staying here. As usual, this little oasis was such a breath of fresh air and a quaint respite from the busyness of life. Our two daughters enjoy their own little private beach and our two Aussies enjoy the freedom the land offers. While this year’s trip saw us spending a bit more time in town (Manistique and Munising offer a lot of cool experiences), we still much preferred the quiet of the cabin and the views of the lake. Thanks to Craig and his family for being such gracious hosts and sharing their beautiful homestead!

I had a great time on Craig’s property! It’s a beautiful location with a warm, beautiful, privately accessible lake less than a half mile walk away from the site! The camper is cozy, but I definitely recommend bringing your own blankets. Thankfully I had my sleeping bag. He and his wife were both super friendly and helpful! Bruno’s Run is a 13-mile hike that’s 30 mins away and was beautiful (if you’re into that sort of thing).
My dog and I loved our stay and would certainly go back!

Incredible property. It was wonderful to enjoy total privacy. We took the kayaks out on the lake and watched the birds, didn’t see another soul! Craig was a fantastic and welcoming host. Would love to come back for a longer trip. Can’t recommend enough !

We loved our stay at Craig's cabin! The lake was beautiful and very private. The log cabin was so amazing, from the vintage wood cookstove and cabinets to the view of the lake, everything was perfect. The cabin was wonderfully rustic, still everything that we could possibly need was provided. We can't wait to come back!

Great place to stay and relax. Quiet, shallow lake, with no neighbors. The cabin really has everything you need from cooking utensils to bedding and even board games! The hosts were very welcoming and kind. We plan to go back.
