It is only 1500 feet from ATV/Snowmobile access road. Sebec Lake is a 5 minute walk from the property. This property was once owned by Bill Irwin who was blind and hiked the entire Appalachian trail with his dog Orient. His adventure was recorded in a book called “Blind Courage." We Encourage everyone to hike to the top of the driveway to see the spectacular view of the 100 mile Wilderness!

I live in Portland and was feeling really burnt out and needed a night out of the city and in solitude. This was the perfect last minute booking! The A frame was filled with all of the necessities and even though it rained a majority of my stay, I stayed nice and cozy (and dry) the entire time! I enjoyed pressing the pause button, reading, journaling, and meditating with the beautiful mossy babbling brook right outside the door! In the morning I drove to Peace, Love, and Waffles and had a lovely little breakfast before heading back home. This definitely was a soul retrieving visit and I look forward to staying again! <3
A Frame of Mind was exactly what we needed on our road trip. Easy to find, you could pull right up to the A frame, and is well equipped with everything you could need. The perfect size for two and very cozy. The electric heater was great.
