Our cute little A-frame sleeps 2 people comfortably. It comes with its own outdoor kitchen, grill and outdoor bathroom, with a hot shower and composting toilet. There is cell phone service here as well. You will also enjoy your own private waterfront space with free kayak use, hammocks and firepit with complimentary fire wood. The lake does not have a sandy bottom, so you might want to bring water shoes. We are located about halfway between Bangor and Ellsworth. The Mini is a perfect spot for day trips to the coast. Just a 15 minute ride to Bangor where you will find many local breweries, restaurants, concert venue, theaters, shopping and night life. We are only an hour away from beautiful Mount Desert Island. Our area has abundant small wildlife. We regularly see rabbits, geese, ducks, beaver, eagles, osprey and of course loons. Kayak over to our private island where there are blueberries, and a mating pair of eagles. Paddle over, have lunch, pick some blueberries for your morning cereal, go for a swim. You could also kayak through the thoroughfare to Holbrook Pond. The site is small, just 1 acre and we do live very close by. You will have privacy, but you may hear or see us or our dogs at points during your stay. We will provide a few jugs of water, but you may want to bring some of your own. Cookware, plates, cups, utensils, and cooler are available for use.The Mini is a tiny A-frame, it has a full size bed with clean sheets, blankets and pillows. There is an outside kitchen area with gas grill, a Coleman stove and a cooler. Cookware, plates, cups, utensils and a coffee press are also provided. There is a picnic table and a fire ring with complimentary firewood. Two kayaks are available for your use along with life jackets. Our home is next door within site. We do have two small dogs that may bark at you with excitement, but they are very friendly. We find it very quiet, peaceful and serene here on the pond

The Lakeside Mini

The Mini was beautiful comfy and well ventilated. It was a total oasis, with so much wildlife to observe. The view from the lake framed the sun perfectly. Everything was so well thought out and equipped! There was a kitchen area, shower and bathroom with all amenities provided by Cyndy and Amy, who are very kind and prioritized our privacy. They have two curious and adorable small dogs who barked a bit but were friendly and overall not disruptive. Chilling on the hammocks with the blueberry bushes above us , watching all the birds was so special, and going out on the lake was a treat. We would love to come back one day, not just saying that. Thanks so much Amy and Cyndy!!!! Highly highly recommend :)

Had such a lovely and relaxing time! Enjoyed a beautiful kayak and swim, enjoyed watching the wildlife from the dock, slept peacefully and enjoyed the thoughtfulness of our host’s camp setup. Thankful to get to have experienced this place!

The Lakeside Mini

Perfect glamping

A great little A-frame house that had everything we needed from fire wood, cooking utensils, all the way to a couple of kayaks for the lake. When we went it was raining, which is no one’s fault; We set up our tarp which worked just fine for our needs. There is an absolutely beautiful view of the sunrise, which was our first ever one seen.

The Lakeside Mini

Staying at The Mini was an amazing experience! Cyndy was very kind and gave us a quick tour of the beautiful and well stocked site upon arrival. She provided everything you could need for your stay inlcuding firewood, lifejackets for kayaking, and two hammocks. The Mini even had a window fan and a power bar to charge any devices in which was a plesant surprise. After seeing everything that was provided, we quickly realized we had overpacked. There were plenty of little critters hanging around the site to provide some entertainment while you are lounging around. There were even some ducks that would wander up on the shore while we were hanging out by the fire pit. We were in the area to attend a concert and the location was a reasonable distance from the city. We only stayed for two nights this time, but I would certainly book for longer in the future to fully enjoy everything The Mini has to offer :)

The Lakeside Mini

In love with this place!

The lakeside A-Frame might just be my favorite Hipcamp in Maine! The cabin itself has a super comfy bed, electricity, lights, and some standing room. Cyndy also provides a fan which was nice to draw in the summer breeze. The outdoor area is even cooler. I loved the outdoor kitchen space which included access to pots, pans, cutlery, and more. The outdoor bathroom was really nice. The facilities were clean and then shower was nice and hot. Now to my favorite part - the lake. Cyndy provides kayaks for you to use which is awesome. They also own a small island out on the water that you are welcome to paddle to and explore. There is currently a bald eagle nest there which I spent at least a half hour watching. Really cool and unique! I can't wait to bring more friends back. (:
