WELCOME to Happy Hippie Lane Maine! Get your "groove" on or hang loose here on a precious little island with a big bridge just off route one in the heart of Midcoast. Hundreds of guests report the perfect balance of upbeat fun and chill time and call our place and hospitality "magic", "amazing" and "holy guacamole!" It is a lovely spot just off the beaten path but close enough to access the frey. :) I welcome my guests personally and have likely had a chat before you booked. I like to know what your hopes and priorities are around your stay before I accept so I can meet both of our needs. When you arrive, I will greet you and share a little history/tour of the place. I accept travelers between 4 and 9 pm but like all of us schedules fluctuate and we can roll some. There's a strong chance on an average Maine clear summer evening, I have the campfire going and the solar lights around the yard are charged for their evening gentle show. All of the spaces I rent are bedrooms only. You walk a few steps/yards to my 5 bedroom home and access two showers and some kitchen use. I also have an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen that is cute and for your use. It's fun to cook on the fire too! I prefer folks to limit cooking esp in hot weather but support healthier eating and may share some of my foraging tips. The rooms are equipped with plenty of linens and fan power. You will be cozy either way the temps go. There is a lovely porch on the log home where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and lots of wildlife activity. The back yard has tether ball and lots of seating as well as the good sized fire pit with ghosts of hundreds of fireside chats gone by. I look forward to ours! Next door there is a gravel road on a lightly traveled road for your walking or biking pleasure. I am happy to join you in a hilly roller coaster cycling experience and have a few bikes to offer up. I am a WWOOF host and have occasional "helpers" and you are welcome to explore my veggie and flower gardens. This host loves board games and crafts so is often ready to share either or both with guests. There are 150 acres around me that are wooded and pathed so your pup will love it too. Lovely spot to pitch your tent and nibble blues in July but stargaze all year round. You will have access to property amenities like showers, firepit, outdoor seating, hammocks, and outdoor kitchen. Ask host about having lobster here with her, renting a bike, getting reiki, walking to ID edibles, or doing a workshop offered. Make sure you lounge on the lovely porch and get your fill of wildlife. It's mesmerizing! my partner is a mature and adorable jack Russel with a bit of an attitude. We will consider your Pet, but we need to chat first. Add them as another person and there’s your pet fee. It takes energy to have additional furry friends here but I do love them. 🥰 This spot is convenient to so much of Maine! From your site you can hit beach, mountain, lake, trail, surf, moose siting all within a few minutes to a few hours' drive...or you may just want to hunker down here. It is serene. We are happy to initiate a campfire in our beautiful firepit for your enjoyment. No other fires allowed on property. There may be others at the fire. It has been a really fun way to connect with other travelers and your host. Enjoy a refreshing, relaxing beverage or two but this is definitely Not a Party Place. Welcome to Breathtaking Coastal life at Happy Hippie Lane Maine. it’s a perfect balance of serene and colorful vibe. You will want to stay forever! My partner is a sweet mature Jack Russell with a bit of an attitude. We will consider your pet. Let’s chat.😊 add them like another person and there’s your pet fee. Here’s your pretty cabin immersed in nature. This lovely spot can accommodate three/four with its queen bed and hide-a-bed couch double. It is donned with colorful wall coverings and a high ceiling for a spacious eclectic feel. There are three windows and nice nature views from all.  This is an unfinished cabin with lovely feel highlighted by rustic SW pine furniture. Colorful tapestries adorn and it is convenient to firepit, outdoor seating and front row to barred owl serenades and squirrel games. Here's a little on the fun/care menu that may be available during your stay: Nourishing reiki sessions with Cary Delicious locally sourced breakfasts and dinners with advanced notice Workshops in kombucha brewing, foraging, arts and crafts, etc Host is always up for a board game, just don't try to beat her at Scrabble Its a creative rustic bedroom space. Bathrooms/showers/kitchens are near. Step onto the lovely porch with umbrella table and sit a spell. Door is screened so you can imagine comfy slumber in your queen or pull out dbl. It's a fun, colorful high ceilinged space w/ desk. Enjoy a grassy backyard surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods and a mile long trail for walking, skipping or pedaling. We have yard games, a big fire pit, hammocks and lots of outdoor seating for needs as well as an outdoor kitchen in the works for some limited cooking. they’re hundreds of acres around me with some gravel trails and you will have your ultimate nature immersion. .You will find the perfect balance of upbeat and downtime here in the heart of the midcoast on an island just off Route One.  It's important for me to establish a mutually workable arrival time. I generally talk with guests ahead of their trip dates. Loosely, I accept people from 4 to 9 but it really depends on your travel plans as well as my changing schedule of work volunteer commitments and family obligations. Welcome to Breathtaking Fall at Happy Hippie Lane Maine. what a serene, colorful vibe! You will want to stay forever! Chill out in this handsome private room in host's spacious log home. Front row to wooded view and busy birdfeeders you will enjoy the serenity that abounds. Join a chat at the campfire, an occasional lobster or vegan dinner in the backyard, go on a lead bike ride, op for a Reiki session, take a workshop on kombucha brewing if Cary has time, inquire about possible arts, and crafts offerings, read in a hammock if that appeals...it's here. I am right off busy route one, but on a lovely stretch of land that is an island. It is a pretty serene spot with trails nearby and a pretty starry sky at night and everyone loves it. I can easily direct you to the activities you would like to find in the area. This room can sleep 2 with its comfy queen bed. My partner is a mature Jack Russell and he’s pretty bossy, but I’ll consider your pet after we chat about their disposition. Just add your pet as another person and that equates the pet fee. Add A/C for $15 per night. The Groovy Cool Hippie Bus
This was a fun little Hipcamp during our adventures in Maine. The host was accommodating and my wife and I both got Reiki sessions and felt completely relaxed afterward.

We loved staying on Cary’s property. She and her furry friends were wonderful, welcoming hosts. The property is beautiful and charming, and it was thrilling to hear coyotes while sitting around the fire. The cabin felt very cozy. We’d love to come back!

Magical Island tent site near RT 1
Tent camping on Cary’s land was nice! There were a couple of spots to choose from as far as setting up a tent. She has other accommodations available if tenting isn’t your thing. Super clear instructions and easy to get too. The place was colorful and creative. Board games, tv, and some cooking was available for use! Highly recommended staying here host was super kind:)

Cary has a little hippie wonderland tucked away in Maine! A great combination of unique cabins and hostel-style kitchen and bathroom facilities. Cary is a very communicative and enthusiastic host, and there will always be a fire pit to sit around, put your feet up, and chat after a long day's exploring (weather permitting!).

Emerald Forest Cabin
I stayed in the Emerald cabin and it was perfect. Plenty of space, lots of character, and the best location to explore from. Cary’s land is beautiful and vibrant, and I felt so at home I stayed an extra night. Great access to kitchen, bathroom, fire pit, the works. 10/10 recommend staying here if you have the chance!

We loved staying with Cary! We only stayed for 1 night but the emerald cabin was such a vibe and it was fairly close to boothbay but outside all the traffic. A little slice of heaven and the pets were so adorable. We loved chatting with Cary around the campfire!

From the moment we pulled into the drive it felt like home. The property was filled with little wonders in every corner. The rental was very cute and cozy. It was very peaceful stay. Cary was a lovely host who made us feel at home from hello. I would recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.

Cary's place is in a beautiful location. It's both remote enough to let you feel like you're getting away from it all but also not too far a drive from some very fun and beautiful things! Cary was a wonderful host, very welcoming and accommodating. A great place to stay!

Great Hospitality
Emerald Forest Cabin
Stayed on the property in the Emerald Cabin, Cary was welcoming and wonderful. The cabin was quiet and we got great sleep. It was close to the ocean and a lot of cute Maine towns. We enjoyed being able to use the bathroom/shower in the main house while enjoying the rustic camping feel. Cool vibe and good positive energy. Thank you, Cary!

The emerald cabin was bigger than expected and had all the cute little decorations as shown. Host even provided us with a fan! The camp area is gorgeous and well kept! My girl and I absolutely loved it! We will definitely be coming back. The host was very nice and helpful! A great get away spot!

Cary's place is colorful and cheerful and she is a good host for a laidback traveler solo or pair. I would definitely enjoy returning to the happy hippie vibe and recommend it to casual travelers in the Boothbay area of Maine.

I was warmly welcomed as soon as I arrived and was so very comfortable in the Emerald cabin. I was just coming and going as I had family activities, but the last night and following day I got to spend a bit more time at this magical place.

I really liked Cary's place, we did a tent camping while on my way to acadia national park and its was beautiful when we wake up. Cary really a cool person and kind, we did talked about traveling and all That fun stuff, we didn’t really get a chance to spend some more time in this place but i would definitely visit this place if i get a chance.

My tent for your rustic camping fun
Air mattress’s weren’t full and leaked to nearly flat. I know this is common but would have been nice to know since we needed the bedding. Also sheets were dirty and musty. Nice woods and area. Having to have an exact arrival time was an added stress

The Groovy Cool Hippie Bus
The bus was super cool and a neat place to stay for a night. The outdoors around it is super cute and would be a fun time. The listing of extras available is not accurate. It says that there is breakfast and that you could also sign up for foraging but we were told when we arrived that it is not longer something that the host offers. Also the listing says that you can check in between 4 and 9 so we had told the host we would arrive around 7 and she was adamant that we get there as soon as possible and that we check in first and then go try to find dinner. We ended up picking up gas station snacks so we could be there by 6:45 so our nice night was kinda ruined. I understand if you don’t want to offer things but then I expect the listing to be changed accordingly. I would still recommend people check out the bus but just not to expect what the listing says.

Magical Island tent site near RT 1
This location was perfect for sightseeing. I wanted to see the ocean and wildlife and never had to drive too far. Within about a 2hr radius, I saw seals in Portland, puffins, loons, and whales in Bar Harbor, a moose and bear in Gray, and starfish at Nubble Point. I had a lovely time at this property. Cary and the other guests were open and welcoming. It was nice to chat around the campfire. The bathroom and kitchen were clean and I loved playing with Black Kitty. The tent platform had plenty room for our two tents. I even got some nice recordings of a barred owl singing after sundown.

Magical whimsical wonderful
The Groovy Cool Hippie Bus
This was our first Hipcamp experience and what a great experience it was! The natural features of the property were lovely...soft mossy trails, ripe blueberries, pine trees that scented the air. The human features added bright colors and whimsy. The firepit was a relaxing end to each day. The raised vegetable beds and potted plants provided many additional points of interest. The fairy lights through the woods gave the evenings an even more magical feel. Cary made us feel right at home. She was present and available but never intrusive. Her ReiKi sessions were just we needed to relax and let go of our work week stress and step into a new period of exploration. Thank you, Cary, for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! We love DeeDee and the birds. With my allergies, I appreciated that the gorgeous black cat kept her distance...but politely! The Groovy Cool Hippie bus was perfectly wild with an extremely comfortable mattress! The cool nights allowed us to use the fans and open doors for great sleeping. The bathrooms in the house were accessible to us which was greatly appreciated! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and wish Cary and her family all the best. Peace to all who pass through Happy Hippie Lane!
