WV: Fly fish, hunt, hike or even ski Snow Shoe based at our 4 BR “camp” (even 4 bedroom houses are called camps in West Virginia) on top of Point Mountain, WVA. With no houses in sight, rest a spell on the front porch swing, or pick apples, herbs, grapes and blueberries in season. Shop the county seat 11 miles and a century away, built when hot spring vacations were the vogue. Fully renovated with central air, central heat, a new water system, new windows, a new back porch, and many upgrades. Enjoy mountain fresh air, country quiet, warm days and crisp cool nights this summer! The downstairs bedrooms are a queen, 2 twins, a futon. the upstairs is a queen with a table, chairs, rocking chair and library. A gorgeous drive through woods with part of the superhighway shortening the drive every month ... traditionally we're full April to November but with gas prices, one can book now!

A very beautiful cabin tucked in the woods! Spacious and cozy with plenty of options for outdoor exploring! The driveway is a little tricky so make sure you have a 4wd vehicle! Donna was very responsive and alert host. About an hour to snowshoe with amazing views! Would definitely come back again! Thanks Donna ❤️

We absolutely loved staying at Donna’s cabin! She provided excellent directions/instructions for everything we needed and had a wonderful time in the cozy cabin while it snowed.

Quiet, private and beautiful home

We were blown away by the beauty of the property, and had the most wonderful Thanksgiving there. For being quite literally “off the beaten path” (4WD definitely recommended), the cabin is clean, comfortable, and well outfitted. There are so many highlights, but some our favorite parts were: waking up slowly to mountain views on the porch, the gorgeous woodwork everywhere in the cabin, easy access to outdoor fun, both on the property’s 18 acres and in the surrounding area, and quiet nights spent drinking mulled wine around the outdoor fire pit. Though our time was too short to fully enjoy, the nearby rivers offer endless picnic spots and fly fishing to die for. Our dog loved exploring the woods with free rein (though do be cautious as it’s hunting season) and all of the great sniffs to be had. When you visit nearby Webster Springs (15-20 mins), be sure to visit the Spillman Mountain Farm shop for some amazing locally raised meats (incredible Angus steak, raised right on their own farm) and Webster Produce for a nice selection of fresh fruit, veg and locally roasted coffee. Finally, our thanks to the hosts, who were amazing in their communication and made sure we were well equipped with the info we needed at all times. We will be back!
